Walking at least 3 miles a day, if not more, has helped me a lot as well as a plant based diet and having a spinach smoothie every day. Plus drinking enough water and getting enough sleep.☺️
walking briskly or just a normal walk? I tend to have sciatic nerve pain when I walk briskly but I want to do something. Are you walking fast or just a normal stroll for health?
This was a great video! I went into surgically induced menopause at 42. Huge bummer. I felt like I'd been hit by a train until I figured out a good supplement regimen. My OB Gyn was zero help. I wanted to point out two quick things here. Matcha and Maca are two totally different things. Matcha (which is what is pictured here) is green tea. Maca is Peruvian ginseng and is brown. Also, be careful with Black Cohosh. It can cause liver damage. Also, Pycnogenol is a wonderful supplement for brain fog!
The most helpful natural remedy that has helped me is exercise. I’m a swimmer. I do water aerobics a few times a week. The other is a balanced diet. I don’t give up any food groups, I eat and drink what I want in moderation. I have also accepted the fact that my 56 year old body is not going to look like my 40 year old body, no matter what I change. I’ve accepted that my body is evolving and carries weight differently, no matter how much I try to adjust diet and exercise. So I have accepted me as I am today, self love goes a long way. Thanks for talking about this topic, it’s been a struggle for me the last decade. I think you need to mention REST. As we age we need more of it. Less brutal cardio, more rest.
Thankyou for that. The last 2 years has been crazy for me. Body, mood sex drive all is changing. I"m learning to accept my body in this phase of my life.. with prayer and support.
A good resource is Menopause Taylor here on you tube. She has a lot of really useful information, and she delivers it succinctly. She is a medical doctor.
My HRT is life lol. I don’t have any of these symptoms anymore. My meno symptoms were severe insomnia that came with anxiety, some hot flashes, hair/nail weakness, moodiness, and brain fog. Now, I feel like I did in my 20s and 30s. It’s awesome.
I’m sorry but could you give me more info on this “Rebounding”…. I’ve never heard of this before & I’m really struggling since I’ve started menopause this summer….plz help & thank you….
I’ve been saying for the past couple of years since I’ve been going through perimenopause that the Gynocologist don’t know enough about this subject. I’ve been to 3 different drs and the only options they give me are birth control or full hysterectomy. Or suffer through the pain of endometriosis. It’s beyond frustrating.
I've been experiencing this exact same thing. I saw my obgyn and he immediately suggested either birth control or a hysterectomy without having even done a blood test. He never did a blood test. I realize now I need to see someone to do so. But he actually said to me "uteruses are only good for making babies and cancer" insisting why not take it out! I will never go back to him WTF. Imagine a women telling a man that about his testes. Yikes.
Girl, same!!! So frustrating. They say some back and see them when I'm 12 months without a period for hrt! How many years am I going to have to suffer this?!
I wanted to share somethings that have been helping. I mostly do a plant based diet. I do include fish and turkey. I also eat organic non gmo tofu weekly. I have found that the heat surges (hot flashes) were more intense when I drank coffee so I did an experiment and have stopped coffee altogether and the heat surges have stopped. The night sweats have also stopped since I stopped drinking coffee. I now make an almond milk/cinnamon latte which is a great dupe for a regular latte. I also do a golden milk (turmeric) latte before bed which helps me sleep better. Turmeric is known to help balance hormones.
Omgawsh, love this video! I went though menopause in my late 30's then went through a nasty divorce in my early 40's with 2 young kids. I turned 50 this year and am JUST realizing I've been neglecting myself and have pretty much given up til I saw this. I didn't realize how many things go south and am now trying to clean up the aftermath of my post menopausal self. This sucks but you gave me hope. Thank you!!
Apple cider vinegar taken prior to a meal that contains carbs helps to slow the insulin response of the carbs, prevention of insulin spikes in diet is key in managing weight and appetite. Theres lots of information online regarding those who wear continuous glucose monitors, eating carbs alone (insulin spike) taking ACV prior to meal, much lower spike. Another option is protein. Eating protein prior to eating the carbs on your plate also helps. However, minimizing or eliminating the major carbs (rice, pasta, bread and sugar) is the most effective. I lost 60 lbs this way in 8 months and have kept it off for 2 years (59)
Oh--and THANK YOU for all the work you put into this report! I still cannot believe how doctors--female doctors, even--don't talk about any of this stuff. It's been frustrating.
This menopause game is fierce! :D Thanks for sharing your current protocol. I did an at-home hormone test, which I recommend every woman do whether they are seeking help from their doctor or a naturopath. I, too, believe in empowering ourselves with information to work "with" our doctors to find our remedy. I started with vitex, and I also use glandulars (actual desiccated thyroid, hypothalamus or pituitary gland tissue) to sort of wake up the glands that make these hormones we're losing. This requires some education, though. I have been meat and dairy-free for over five years. Back then there wasn't the great cheezes and soy-free faux meats that there are today. Still processed, but okay for an occasional treat. My favs are Daiya Cheddar Block, all of the Follow Your Heart sliced cheezes and Violife shredded cheezes. Kite Hill is my favorite cream cheese. The Beyond Burger is amazing, too! What a wonderful time we live in where women can support each other in this way. Menopause still seems to be the dirty word, and, like you said, no one seems to want or know how to really help. All the best to you on your journey! God bless!
Agreed. No one will talk about it and how debilitating it is while we are still expected to perform or work. It's weird to not acknowledge peri menopause and menopause as a debilitating condition.
I think you look amazing! I also believe in ACV, wild yam cream and B vitamins. Something I find helpful that I don't think you mentioned here is ashwahanda powder, good for decreasing hot flashes and increasing energy. Maca powder also for energy plus libido. I just turned 40, but I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago. I find taking a gnc multi vitamin with metabolism and energy support is helpful also. Of course exercise helps to keep weight in check as well as increase energy and mood. I find using natural soap, laundry detergent and fabric softer, lots of moisturizer (plus wild yam cream) helps with dry sensitive skin; argan oil helps with dry frizzy hair. I have thought the same many times, "who's body is this??!" Thank you so much for posting this as it can be a taboo subject and I prefer natural remedies. I will also be forwarding this video to my mother!
I used that same Evening primrose oil supplement. It helped my skin and increased moisture, however it thins your blood, and caused me to bruise easily. My Dr ran blood work to rule out any issues, and I was fine. Once I stopped it went away. Also there are maca capsules called maca pause and maca harmony by Femmeness . I use cheated magnesium at bedtime. I sleep well and don’t feel weird. I did not like melatonin for that reason.I did tell my regular Dr. how I thought it was disgraceful that no one was trained on menopause and he said he apologized for the medical community that they probably only get an hour of training about it because it’s not a mortality issue. I told him it is a mortality issue. It can cause heart disease, osteoporosis,Alzheimer’s,and since women live the majority of their life in this phase we want more now from our Dr. There are no specialists in a 200 mile radius of me😊However he trains young medical students so when they came in with him I encouraged them to specialize in this due to the scarcity. Two were young women. I hope they consider this. Thank you for your honesty❤️
Thank you for sharing. I'm so glad that you are working with your doctor to find the best supplements. It is so important for older doctors to be training younger ones in this field. I'm so glad that you were able to have this discussion with your doctor. xo
Busbee Style I haven’t got to see my Gyn this year due to the present circumstances 😊 he does however offer bio identical and traditional replacement and is open to what you want to try,he’s not specifically trained in this but at least he’s trying. He’s my age and so is his wife so I’m sure once he starts experiencing things he’ll be working even harder 😂
I'm very proud impressed that you spoke up to your doctor, especially when he said it was not a mortality issues Nice that docs want to keep us from dying but we are demanded ng and want quality of life, not any old age of continual suffering.
These are all great suggestions Erin. I want to also say that stress plays a huge role in all of these hormonal shifts. It's important to take steps to better manage stress as we age. Practicing mindfulness, prayer, meditation, and journaling are all wonderful for beautiful aging.
yes!!!! the bigger picture, managing stress, age acceptance, mindfulness and loving yourself will work better than addressing each and every little symptom for a quick fix.
Thanks for sharing! Your 'routine' sounds like a full time job! I hope you're feeling better and happy! I'm 50 and still have regular periods, but find I sometimes feel super anxious about things that have never worried me before and lack the motivation that has driven me over the years. I hate feeling like that but it has forced me to slow things down and relax more.
nick, brace yourself it's coming. I'm 55 and just 2 years ago started missing a month or 2 of periods at a time . hot flashes and night sweats came out of nowhere. the anxiety is real. it's a nightmare . just brace yourself.
Erin 🌷my mom introduced me to your channel and I am so grateful! This new found support around peri-menopause and menopause is life changing for me- can’t wait to catch up on your posts. So relieved to realize what is happening is normal and a “journey” - helping me to not fight it, but to understand it. During pandemic isolation I’ve been focusing on self care, enjoying wellness, beauty, and fashion videos, cleaning out the closets, and renewing my style (no more frumpy!). Love your advice and sense of humor= thank you 🙏 💕
Hi Erin! I’m a recent subscriber and really appreciate your style tips. Being 55, and 2 years post-menopausal, I can relate to all the symptoms and issues you’ve addressed in this and your last video. I can attest to the fact that maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine (that works for your lifestyle) is key to minimizing the horrible symptoms that plague women during this phase. I am at higher risk for breast cancer so take a very small dosage of estradiol gel and a progesterone supplement. I didn’t see this mentioned as a relief for vaginal dryness and thought I would share it as it’s been a lifesaver for me. It’s a vaginal suppository, comprised of hyaluronic acid and sodium salt. The brand is Revaree, distributed by Bonafide Health, LLC. My gynecologist specializes in peri- and post-menopausal women’s health, and recommended it to me about 8 months ago, since it is a hormone free treatment.
Christine, thank you for this useful information. Especially since the info you shared is based on hormone free treatments. I am not sexualy active so I don't know how my medical induced menopause has affected my lady parts yet. So thus info is good to know for when I get there...
I absolutely loved all the info you shared and, most of all, your down-to-earth sincere presentation!! Thank you for your transparency and the great info!
WoW, Erin. You literally touched on all my symptoms. So glad to know we are not alone because my doctors (who are awesome) are not much help in this area.
Thank you Erin for this compilation of great resources. I had the privilege to meet a PA at my gynecologists office who introduced me into the world of compounded suppositories for vaginal dryness. (Atrophic vaginitis). There are two possibilities: a 1% estriol one and a hylauronic one if we want to limit the use of hormones. (ie for the estrogen positive breast cancer patient). I have found this pathway so beneficial! Best to you in your journey and thanks for being a medium to share this little discussed topic. Your courage speaks!! THANK YOU. 🦋
Hi Erin, you're looking wonderful. Black Cohosh works for my hot flashes, so far. I'm still trying to get my grip on the best sleep inducing system. However, I have used Sleepy Time teas, sounds of rain/thunderstorms, ocean waves& waterfalls/streams, Classical music/Native American flute music/Scottish Highlands & Irish music, & the sounds of birds&crickets. Some success. I still drink Cranberry juice&Pomegranate juice. I know that I will have to continually keep this at the top of my personal care regime, because like you said; no one will help you. Sad, but true; so let's continue to do our homework ladies. Erin, I love "hot tamales" candy & I still eat them now&again. Hope you're keeping busy&safe in our present Covid19 health pandemic. God's blessings to you & your family. Love from Michigan.:)
@Busbee Style I'm working on my purse-size affirmations book today. It's got affirmations, prayers, thoughts, & art/collages to inspire me. Staying positive & sane in our not-so-sane world. Carpe Diem.:)
First to comment! 🙂 This couldn't have come at a better time as I am just starting to go through my premenopausal experience at 48 and to have some natural remedies to start to research in one place is a big help! I'm also looking into seeing a naturopathic doctor because I do have some autoimmune disorders and already am on several medications so to add more chemicals in my body isn't something that I want to do. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Erin!!
Thanks for sharing this! I'm not quite there yet. Just turned 50 last July and still getting periods like clockwork- but WoW the PMS is...interesting! Appreciate your straight up info and personal stories. xoxo
Thank you SO SO much for this video and the last one about your meno experience. I felt SO along in this till now. bless you for sharing something so personal - it REALLY helps ❤️🥰
Another great inflammation fighter is a product called D -ribose. You can stir it into your coffee or tea or juice or sprinkle it on your sugar and it’s pretty amazing how it reduces inflammation. There is a rather prominent heart surgeon that recommends this product after surgery to combat inflammation during the heating process. You can get it at most health food stores or from a company called Valentine Labs.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video with all us...this is a great start for me as I go on my journey towards menopause. I like how frank you are about the journey while keeping things light...it was like hearing one of my girlfriends or my sister talk to me! God Bless you on this journey ahead!
I'm so glad that you found this helpful! I strongly believe in women helping women especially when it comes to important topics like this that we all face. xo
I cut my main meal portions by a quarter to a third and it's working really well! Eating the meal at lunchtime is also key. I still have some noodles and rice and dairy and meat or fish maybe 4 to 5 times a week. x
Thank u Erin, I appreciate it, yes I am going through it now too, perimenapause, no hot flashes yet, but appreciate all of the help in this area, my mom died years ago n u r right, some help in this area is def. needed, because to do! I will look into it more w/ your tips n suggestions, hope it works! ❤️
Gonna try the dandelion roots for anti-inflammatory I also heard it’s a good natural diuretic. I’ve been taking probiotic and prebiotic gummies that has helped me also. Thanks for these info. Gonna bookmark like you suggested. 👍
I also take HRT (patch) estrogen only because I had a hysterectomy in 2014, but I have found that supplements do help. I take two magnesium tablets each night before bed and that definitely has helped with sleep. I will try some of your other suggestions and see what works and what doesn't. Also exercise is a big help for everything, just making up my mind to do it daily is a bit of a struggle. Thanks!
As a first step, watch carbohydrate intake and pay attention to how what correlation you find between what you're eating and brain fog. A bit of blood sugar dysregulation (not necessarily to the point of being pre-diabetic or diabetic) can cause brain fog.
Hi, I have thyroid issues as well and it can be really hard to find healing, but like you all my weight issues resolved with paleo. Now I'm dealing with menopause! Thanks for the informative video, its helping me to work out whats next. I'm on a plethora of supplements too. :)
Thank you for posting this. With the virus, I’m not sure if I can get an appointment with my gyno or anyone at this time and the hot flashes and lack of sleep have hit an all time high for me the past two weeks! By the way, I love your blouse!
girl...I am going through hell with these hot flashes and night sweats. I haven't had a good night's sleep in over a month. I am taking evening primrose, black cohosh, red clover, ashwaghanda. and absolutely nothing is helping . the ashwaghanda is helping my anxiety. but these hot flashes and night sweats are truly difficult to deal with.
I totally hear you...We have more resources on menopause here on the blog as well: busbeestyle.com/category/wellness/menopause/ You are not alone in this tough journey! xo
I took the Evorel Conti HRT patches for 7 months. Helped with the hot flashes but made my other symptoms worse. Jaw pain, joint pain, a period every month (when I shouldn't be menstruating) and anxiety through the roof! So I figured that I couldn't force my body to do the things it longer wanted to do. I feel better without it but will try the Evening Primrose Oil Black Cohosh does not work for me either I also do a combo of Pilates, light weight training and dance at least 4 times a week Hope all you're beautiful menopausal women can find your jam and embrace this next chapter of your lives more easily Coz the struggle is real!!!
It is such a difficult journey... you aren't alone! Being on the other side now... I can confidently say the symptoms do subside in time, but that doesn't make it any easier to go through!! It's a hard process to even find just what our unique body is needing during this stage too. Sending you so much love! xo
Can't wait to hear about your experience with the yam pellet... lol. I wish you had been around when I went through this. Such helpful videos. Thank you.
thank you. I only eat meat and veggies, the occasional sugar treat. I'm allergic to other foods. I find now that im 54 im in peri menopause so I walk 30 mins a day stretch and do 5 lb arm weights.i use to run but no more. I take b12, Vit D and some homeopathic remedies it helps a lot. I don't take the hormones im allergic.
Hi Erin amazing tips to stay healthy and be the best you can be and thank you for the great video and the white blouse looks gorgeous on you love the puffy sleeves so gorgeous. Love XO
Just a note: you mentioned Maca, but your image that accompanied it was matcha powder. There is a difference! Matcha is a green tea powder with a lot of its own health benefits. Maca is a Peruvian root sold in powdered form that is a supplement for energy and hormonal balance. It is available in white, red, or black varieties, all with different benefits of their own. So easy peasy, if it is GREEN, it is matcha green tea. If it is another color, you are probably looking at actual Maca. As a side note, I take Maca daily in my Bullet Proof Coffee along with collagen, reishi mushroom powder, and some raw cacao powder... It seems to help me feel better about my choices at least. Thank you so much for doing these videos!! Why is there NOT a specialty in med school to deal with menopause?!?
It's true, lately I have not been sleeping much at all but I still enjoy walking very far and lemon juice in warm water is nice to start the day. At least us women are in it together, men have no idea what it feels like .
@@lenafranklin7262 men dont know what we feel like, yet they too go through a male menopsuse with hormonal changes...an even more invisible taboo subject than our menopause...they have no idea nor do most doctors as its never been recognised or labeled.
Thx to one of your wonderful viewers I started on Maca root powder and have been very consistent with it and it’s worked wonders for my vaginal dryness!! It was so bad I didn’t want my husband to even look at me! But now things are so pleasurable!🙊😂so thank you Erin and your viewer!!💜
Hi Erin, Thank you for a great video for women that are going through any stage of menopause. IMHO, the most valuable statement you made is this is a journey that will be different for every woman. My biggest menopause issue is/was the thinning loss of my hair, to the point I started wearing hair toppers b/c I was so self-conscious about it. I went to a dermatologist specializing in women's hair loss. This is the plan she placed me on. Nutrafol, a prescription of FDM3Women's Formula (this is not OTC but prescribed by the Dr. It's like a super rogaine) and the iGrow Laser Helmet. The plan is a 6-month plan. The Dr. feels comfortable I will see the regrowth of my hair. I am in month 3 and I have started seeing some growth. I pray this is a solution for me as if I am blessed I have many more years to live my best life. Thank you again for this video and forum.
Thank you for this video Erin! Taking a natural approach when possible is a great option...Writing things down 😊 can you share what have you been doing for your hair? Make sure you take vitamin D in particular during the winter, it helps absorb calcium for the bones.
I'll be 50 this coming July, Lord willing, and I've been in menopause for 3 years. I haven't experienced weight gain, but the hot flashes are insane. As for supplements, I take vitamin D, magnesium, and vitamin K all for bone health and muscle health. I take collagen for joint health. Right now I have so much hair I get stares and I thank God for it. Every so often I'll give up breads, cookies and cakes and weight falls off, despite still drinking about 40 ounces of coca cola a day. I run on the treadmill daily, unfortunately I'm on hiatus because the gym is closed. I also walk my dog 3x's a day for a mile each time. I can't do HRT because my mom succumb to breast cancer when she was 48.
Thank you for sharing! I'm glad that you have found some things that are working for you. Walking the dog is great exercise as the gyms are closed. Stay safe! xo
I’d like to share that I take Vitamin E and the night sweats went away for me. I don’t over due them I only take them every few days. 4-5 days. It’s helped me tremendously
Amen to all of that!!! But I'm going to pass on the yam pellet in my butt 🤣😂!!! I wil check into the wild yam right cream tho. As always- thanks so much for the useful information. I find the truly hardest pay for me is realizing that I'm actually 48 & not 28 or 30 anymore😔. Is such a shock everytime I experience any symptoms of aging. But that's a whole other story for a different day. Thanks again and stay safe!
For hot flashes, use a cold pack on the back of the neck, they are strong at first but this is one thing that will get better ladies!. Red raspberry helped with my periods when I was younger and that and black cohash helped quite a bit with hot flashes and skin support too. It won't work like just taking an aspirin though, you need to take it for months. Magnesium for sleep and B vitamins and apple cider vinegar are a must, I can't miss those last two or else I feel so sluggish and have no energy at all. Wild yam root capsules worked for me, and I used to love my yogurt but now I have to take digestive enzymes (Divine Bounty works perfectly for me taken as directed) I avoid all dairy now except for eggs bc it makes me so bloated and have stomach aches. I'll buy ginger and cut a chunk off and peel it and drop it in my water to flavor it and help with digestion. I also love chewable papaya tablets, they work better than Tums. I love making smoothies with fresh fruit, prunes, and ground flax seed (buy whole flax seed and grind as needed in a coffee grinder) and Hemp protein powder -- the best is blackberries or blueberries, pineapple and banana -- or use mango instead of pineapple. Thank you for addressing this issue Erin -- you look amazing! I need all the help I can get in the style department because my fashion sense is long gone. When you said nobody helps with menopause, that's the way I feel when I walk into a store, yikes what goes with what, so I thank God for your advice and you make dressing look fun again. God Bless you!.
I take Vitamin E for the hot flashes and I haven’t got them since and I had them bad. I don’t take it every day. I only take 1 table every 4-5 days. It works for a lot of woman so I tried it.
I do recommend Dr. Eric Berg DC for all and most health issues. I’m 32, no menopause issues yet and not supposed to be talking here, but I have known him since I was 26. I’ve had some weight and blood sugar problems and taking his advice was a blessing to me. Not saying that you have to listen to him but it’s one of the people in my life that I found have helped a lot. Hope that helps anyone reading this comment. Take care y’all 🤗
Great topic Erin and so frustrating of a time. Find a women’s naturopathic (they are functional med) doctor. They will help you dial in specifics for the individual as we are so different. I have never slept better, like a teenager:()) NO meno symptoms. I see my ND virtually and use my gyno for exams, lab work (that my ND wants to see so it’s covered by my insurance).
GM it is crazy I noticed that GYN have no clue about Peri & menopause.. I had an oopherecthomy (chose this instead of complete hysterectomy) went into menopause in my 40's . Low Libido, emotional mess, flashes... when I talk to GYN about after care what should I b doing moving forward... Sigh 😱they acted like duh... Take Calcium & exercise😩 I'm taking epo, Black Cohosh, pumpkin Seed oil, pm phytogen magnesium, and lots of accupuncture THANK u for this 🙏
Sometimes you have to keep trying different doctors till you find the right match. Thank you for sharing some of the things that are working for you. xo
For brain fog take black coffee with a pich of seasalt and coconut oil first thing morning then take ahagwanda mixed with black cohosh after about 30min it works
None of this worked for me. I tried a lot of this stuff. Last September, I went on Estradiol and Progesterone and I'm back to "normal." It may kill me eventually but the horrible hot flashes, night sweats, dry vag and zero libido are all gone.
HRT had helped me a LOT with hot flashes for several years. Tried several natural, over the counter things - none of it helped. Anyway, not on HRT now, but I take MenoEase 360 Ultra supplement for hot flashes. I still have them, but not nearly as many. For vaginal dryness/pain during intercourse, nothing has helped except for twice weekly Estradiol 0.01% vaginal cream - prescribed. It has helped - not like I was before menopause, but it has helped.
I think I’m in perimemopause 😢 3 years now I’ve been suffering the WORST cramps and heavy periods -ever- And this weird weight gain in my stomach & waist I never Had a fat stomach Doctors are useless and didn’t help me at all So now I’m hoping natural remedies can help me feel better
Sending so much light and love your way as you navigate this! It can be hard to find the right drs, but it is worth trying... You are not alone in this! xo
Pretty sure I draw the line at yam butt pellets. 😳😅. Careful taking the levothyroxin, shouldn’t have other supplements within 4 hours of either side of that medication. 🤗
Thank you so much Erin for compiling and presenting this information for us! It’s been such a frustrating journey these past few years trying to navigate my way through peri menopause. There is no one right answer and it’s hard to know what is safe to try and what will work for me. I have a pretty good regime now through trial and error, and taking similar supplements to you. The magnesium and black cherry (+ tryptophan) is helping with sleep (plus cbd oil for difficult nights). I am also struggling quite a bit with libido, and trying Maca powder... is it working? Not really sure... but confused as to what else will work to restore the “desire”. For weight maintenance, just adding more weight bearing exercise and eating more vegetables and fruit and less snacking on processed foods and sugar is helping, but I am going to try the apple cider vinegar... thanks again for all of the really great info!
So glad to have found your channel. I am recently experiencing hair shedding. Am hypothyroid 100mg tirosint and .50 cytomel. I changed from the estrogen patch/progesterone pill to a combi patch. First time experiencing night sweats. Makes me wonder if I should go back to patch and pill method. Feel good except for those two effects. My gynn referred me to dermatologist about my hair but has not done bloodwork, which I wonder would be beneficial. I am of the belief origin is systemic. I take Biotin, multi, and vitamin e. Using collagen powder at least two times a day. Incorporating ground flaxseed and wheat germ.
I'm so glad that you are working with your doctors to help find a solution. Blood work will probably give you some more insight into what is going on. xo
Walking is wonderful I do walk but I think I should walk more - thank you ❤I’m happy you are feeling better
Thank you for sharing! xo
What supplements helped you , going through this right now, thank you 🙏🏻
Black Cohosh definitely helps me.
@@reneebroussard5089 did you have weight gain from black cohosh?
Can adding dandelion root help with the liver issues?
Thank you for sharing, Irene! xo
Oh yes rest of mind, peace of mind. This is lower stress, stress makes it worse.
She is a great resource! Thank you for sharing, Bonnie! xo
But she advocates HRT.
Haven't slept more than 4 hours in years. what are you taking? My dr gave me Bijuva which is 1 mg. estradiol and progesterone. so far not working.
That's great! xo
Terrific! What are you doing that is so successful?
Where can I get the HRT and what brand is it please? I need this so bad I’m not good. 🙏🏼
Which one did u use please had an hysterectomy thank you so so much
I’ve discovered Rebounding... it’s fun and has so many benefits while having to spend less time trying to get in shape
It's so good for supporting lymphatic flow!
So very true ladies! Love rebounding!
That is frustrating. There are a lot of good doctors out there that can help. Don't give up! xo
I had given up. This is a great and encouraging video
Thank you!!
You got this, Alecia! One step at a time! xo
@@BusbeeStyle Thanks doll!!
I lost 60 lbs this way in 8 months and have kept it off for 2 years (59)
Thank you for sharing this information, Marjorie! xo
Oh--and THANK YOU for all the work you put into this report! I still cannot believe how doctors--female doctors, even--don't talk about any of this stuff. It's been frustrating.
Thank you, Susan! It really can be frustrating! xo
God bless!
Thank you for sharing Heather! It's so important to support each other! xo
Thanks for all these great food tips!! I’ll be googling them for sure!
@@BusbeeStyle Your so welcome! 😊 I really should do a video about these. I seriously stocked up for the quarantine, lol.
Thank you for sharing, Stephanie! I'll have to look into ashwahanda powder. xo
Sawari and aswahanda powder are natural products with great benifits
Can you please share which B vitamins you are taking, thank you 🙏🏻
Can you pls share which brand of wild yam root you’re taking? Thanks!
Thank You Sooo Much Erin For Talking About a Subject That Has Always Seemed To Be On The Back Burner!! Thank You For This Important Information!!!
What about me im 44 single but this monht july i dont have period
nick, brace yourself it's coming. I'm 55 and just 2 years ago started missing a month or 2 of periods at a time . hot flashes and night sweats came out of nowhere. the anxiety is real. it's a nightmare . just brace yourself.
Thanks for doing this video!! Love you! FYI, Maca is something totally different from Matcha.
Thank you, Brigette! xo
Isn’t it crazy what happens to us? Thank God we have women in our lives to talk about this stuff with... and give recommendations! THANK YOU!
Thank you, Lisa! xo
Love your advice and sense of humor= thank you 🙏 💕
You're SO welcome, Marisa! I'm glad this was helpful! xo
Thank you, Diana! I'm so glad it was helpful! xo
THANK YOU. 🦋
Thank you for the extent of the information you have given and especially for the honesty of your personal experience.
Thank you! xo
Thanks for talking about natural alternatives , most of my life I have relied on them and worked for me 😇
Can you mention some, please? Thanks
Thank you so much for sharing! I appreciate you thoughts, Jeanette. Stay safe!
@Busbee Style
I'm working on my purse-size affirmations book today.
Thank you! I'm so glad that you found this helpful! xo
Thanks for sharing this! I'm not quite there yet. Just turned 50 last July and still getting periods like clockwork- but WoW the PMS is...interesting! Appreciate your straight up info and personal stories. xoxo
Thank you, Kathleen! xo
Thank you SO SO much for this video and the last one about your meno experience. I felt SO along in this till now. bless you for sharing something so personal - it REALLY helps ❤️🥰
You are so welcome, Lynne! That is exactly why I share! xo
Great video! Thanks so much for sharing. My days are unpredictable. Night sweats, hot flashes and anxiety are the biggest problem.
Thank you, Rhonda! Glad you found this helpful! xo
I would like to share that I take Vitamin E for the hot flashes 1 capsule every 4-5 days and it has helped me tremendously.
I started THT, testosterone pellet and it has helped my symptoms tremendously!
Thank you for sharing, Yvonne! xo
I strongly believe in women helping women especially when it comes to important topics like this that we all face. xo
I shared this video!!! Thank you 🙏🏼 prayers to us all 😢
That’s right, no BS, just honest and helpful information. Thanks Erin!
Glad it was helpful, Aida! xo
I cut my main meal portions by a quarter to a third and it's working really well! Eating the meal at lunchtime is also key. I still have some noodles and rice and dairy and meat or fish maybe 4 to 5 times a week. x
Black seed oil (also known as black cumin oil) is a natural fatigue fighter as well. BONUS: It also helps with inflammation! Love your videos❤
Thank you for sharing, Beth! xo
Oh... GREAT to know. Thank you!!
Thank you Erin 🙏🏼 Your videos make premenopausal info much simpler and are very helpful to me. Let’s just say: perfect timing 😊
Thank you, Sophia! xo
Thank you for talking about this! Very informative!
Thank you! xo
I'm so glad that you found this helpful, Susan! xo
I use a red clover supplement against the hot flashes, night sweats and changing moods.
Thank you for sharing, Rosi! xo
Gonna try the dandelion roots for anti-inflammatory I also heard it’s a good natural diuretic. I’ve been taking probiotic and prebiotic gummies that has helped me also. Thanks for these info. Gonna bookmark like you suggested. 👍
Thank you for sharing! xo
While food plant based, no alcohol, reduced sugar, and exercise, weight bearing exercise, meditation, yoga, no caffeine, lots of water.. works
Thanks!
I have found that 10 minutes on a rebounder 5 times per week helps tremendously.
Thank you for sharing, Kim! xo
What is a rebounder lol? A small trampoline?
@@evabothwell5983 yes it is. Nice and gentle on your joints but you can make it a real workout.
Does anyone have brain fog???? If so any recommendations? thank you:)
As a first step, watch carbohydrate intake and pay attention to how what correlation you find between what you're eating and brain fog. A bit of blood sugar dysregulation (not necessarily to the point of being pre-diabetic or diabetic) can cause brain fog.
I have that. Ugh I hate it 😫
Yes! It’s a killer for me! Alcohol makes it really bad. So does too much sugar + bad fats. Eat lots of live, fresh foods + vegetables.
I used to have it but since I started keto the mental fog is gone and have more energy no more fatigue 💃🏼💃🏼
Ginkgo biloba helps me
Hi, I have thyroid issues as well and it can be really hard to find healing, but like you all my weight issues resolved with paleo. Now I'm dealing with menopause! Thanks for the informative video, its helping me to work out whats next. I'm on a plethora of supplements too. :)
I can absolutely relate! I'm glad you found this helpful! xo
I am just right here ...in this moment when I have to re figure my exercise routine and my diet...completely get it 😂😂
You got this, Vivie! xo
Thank you for posting this. With the virus, I’m not sure if I can get an appointment with my gyno or anyone at this time and the hot flashes and lack of sleep have hit an all time high for me the past two weeks! By the way, I love your blouse!
Thank you, Vera! You may have to wait until this virus dies down. You wouldn't want to visit your doctor right now if you don't have to. xo
girl...I am going through hell with these hot flashes and night sweats. I haven't had a good night's sleep in over a month. I am taking evening primrose, black cohosh, red clover, ashwaghanda. and absolutely nothing is helping . the ashwaghanda is helping my anxiety. but these hot flashes and night sweats are truly difficult to deal with.
I totally hear you...We have more resources on menopause here on the blog as well: busbeestyle.com/category/wellness/menopause/ You are not alone in this tough journey! xo
Thanks Erin! My hot flashes have been off the charts since corona madness started.
Same here Neato!!
Wanted to share that Vitamin E 1 capsule every 4-5 days has helped me tremendously with the hot flashes.
I feel better without it but will try the Evening Primrose Oil
Black Cohosh does not work for me either
I also do a combo of Pilates, light weight training and dance at least 4 times a week
Hope all you're beautiful menopausal women can find your jam and embrace this next chapter of your lives more easily
Coz the struggle is real!!!
Thank you.
Thank you! If I end up trying it, I will definitely update you on my experience! xo
You're welcome, Ann! Sounds like you are doing well! xo
Ground flaxseed is wonderful for menopausal symptoms and weight loss!! ❤❤
Thank you for sharing, Kandice! xo
How do you use it? On food? 🤔
Your funny “that’s my fun bag” 😂 thank you for these videos! Very helpful. Appreciate you 💗
Thank you for all your information! Glad you are feeling better and on the way to figuring all this out! I appreciate you. 😃
Thank you, Lorie! xo
Hi Erin amazing tips to stay healthy and be the best you can be and thank you for the great video and the white blouse looks gorgeous on you love the puffy sleeves so gorgeous. Love XO
Thank you so much! xo
If you exercise before breakfast you will increase hgh. It feels gross at first but it works, drink lemon water first.
Thank you for your suggestions! xo
This was VERY helpful. I have HRT patch and I was working out, but no weight loss. I need to stop dairy.
That's great! Thank you for sharing! xo
Maca powder has almost eliminated my hot flashes
Thank you so much for sharing, Helen! It is so different for every women. xo
Thank you for this video Erin! Taking a natural approach when possible is a great option...Writing things down 😊 can you share what have you been doing for your hair? Make sure you take vitamin D in particular during the winter, it helps absorb calcium for the bones.
I take vitamin D... it’s in my omega 3 supplement. For hair: combo of collagen powder in coffee and biotin supplements. 💗
So HRT gives u breast cancer????
I’m 60 and the Mona Lisa touch was life changing.
That's amazing! Thank you for sharing your experience! xo
Turmeric for inflammation. Berberine for insulin resistance. Ashwaganda for stress.
Thank you, Melisia! It is hard to reconcile how we feel with our biological age. xo
Me too! I still feel like I’m 30... so weird, right? And 😂😂 Yam pellets for the win! 🤦🏼♀️
Eat a lot of yogurt for dryness 1year in it really works!
Take care y’all 🤗
Thank you for your recommendation! xo
Thank you for your honesty ❤️
You are so welcome, Mildred! xo
Hi dear. Thank you so much for this info. It will so helpeful an update of what worked for you. Specially on the weight loss. Thanks
Thanks for sharing this valuable information! Be well.
Thank you, Belinda! xo
Thank you for sharing! xo
Take Calcium & exercise😩
I'm taking epo, Black Cohosh, pumpkin Seed oil, pm phytogen magnesium, and lots of accupuncture
THANK u for this 🙏
Sometimes you have to keep trying different doctors till you find the right match. Thank you for sharing some of the things that are working for you. xo
For brain fog take black coffee with a pich of seasalt and coconut oil first thing morning then take ahagwanda mixed with black cohosh after about 30min it works
Thank you for sharing! xo
I’m 64 & i haven’t ever experienced to much about Menopause. Only thing Iv experienced is not having a period and my skin being dry.
What a blessing Diana!
What you are doing is working! Good for you! You look different. You looked great before but that puffiness you mentioned is gone.
Thank you so much! xo
Thanks for your bravery and information
Thank you, Arlet! xo
None of this worked for me. I tried a lot of this stuff. Last September, I went on Estradiol and Progesterone and I'm back to "normal." It may kill me eventually but the horrible hot flashes, night sweats, dry vag and zero libido are all gone.
Me too. Same HRT. Feel great and I’ve been on it for 7 years.
It's the only thing that helps me but I get fat really fast. I can't stand that either.
Thank you for this! So good....sisterhood in a video! #keepinitreal
Women Rock 🌟✨
HRT had helped me a LOT with hot flashes for several years. Tried several natural, over the counter things - none of it helped. Anyway, not on HRT now, but I take MenoEase 360 Ultra supplement for hot flashes. I still have them, but not nearly as many.
For vaginal dryness/pain during intercourse, nothing has helped except for twice weekly Estradiol 0.01% vaginal cream - prescribed. It has helped - not like I was before menopause, but it has helped.
I think I’m in perimemopause 😢 3 years now I’ve been suffering the WORST cramps and heavy periods -ever-
And this weird weight gain in my stomach & waist I never
Had a fat stomach

Pretty sure I draw the line at yam butt pellets. 😳😅. Careful taking the levothyroxin, shouldn’t have other supplements within 4 hours of either side of that medication. 🤗
Menopause Taylor on RUclips is a brilliant source of information.
Yes! She is a great resource! xo
Soma cool nights PJs... life changing for me! I would wake up every 2 hours and be sooooooo not. I still wake up, but I’m not hot. 💕

Do men go thru menopause? Wut symptoms do they have?
Thank you for sharing, Tina! You are right! There is no right answer for everyone. That is why this process can be so frustrating. xo
Blood work will probably give you some more insight into what is going on. xo
