I'm 46 and I think I look 36, I am fitter than I was at 26 and I am still curious about the world as when I was 16! My secret is to actively be appreciative and to love my life right now and be excited for the future. I also think youth is an attitude and being open to change (job, relationships, style and make-up!!) is key. Physically, exercise has transformed my health so I can shine so much more!

I'm 65. I figure I've got about 15-20 years left. I've been struggling with how best to spend those years. I'm still working, I'm hoping to work until I'm 70, but the struggle is, what do I do with my free time. I've decided that I love being surrounded by beauty. It makes me happy to see beautiful things. So, what makes me feel vibrant right now is making my home beautiful. Especially with the changing of the seasons - I'm currently putting away fall and decorating for Christmas/winter. Making my house beautiful and season appropriate makes me happy.
Also, thank you for the tip about hypnosis! I have a morning routine, but I've been struggling to find an evening routine that will help me go to bed at an appropriate time, and I think hypnosis will be perfect! I'm going to try it tonight. Thank you so much for your video! This has to be one of my all time favorites!

I am almost 80. I weigh the same as I did when I was 40, around 110 lbs. I never think about how long I have left. I lead a busy active life, and love dancing and volunteering in my community. When I was 60, I decided to stop colouring my hair and go for a more natural look. Fortunately, I discovered that I was hiding a lovely silver coloured shiny hair, which my stylist tells me is a colour many people request. Each day brings it's joys and challenges. I love fashion and always try to look my personal best. My skin is good but, of course, at 80, I do have some wrinkles, especially around the eye area. The wonderful tutorials on the internet have been a great help in that area. I have many interests and learn try to learn something new every day. My own personal philosophy... I don't take each day for granted, but with gratitude

Testosterone pellets has been life changing for me! I’ve had horrible fatigue over the last two years. I had my hormones checked and my testosterone was 10, and should be 200-300! I didn’t want to do it and pushed it off another year. Then I got desperate and tried it over 4 months ago. My pellets just wore off a few weeks ago, and I’m back to hardly getting out of bed, tired all the time, stumbling through my days. Getting a pellet this Friday and can hardly wait! It makes me happy, creative, upbeat, patient, energetic, open....the list goes on!

Erin, you definitely have a glow about you these days. I just turned 53 a few days ago and feel ten years younger. YES to exercising five days a week, daily 10 minute meditations, supplements, long hair and continual learning. However, I would use caution with the hormones. I was only a couple of years older than you when I was diagnosed with breast cancer after taking hormones for a few years to relieve severe perimenopausal symptoms. No history on either side of the family.

Great video Erin! I started hypnosis at the beginning of the pandemic and it’s changed my life, it’s something I will continue the rest of my life. It has changed my relationship with food, I want to eat fresh healthy food now and it’s trained me to listen to my hunger and to only eat when I’m actually hungry...no more mindless snacking. Erin, do you have prescription orthodics? This summer, I was wearing sandals a lot and not wearing my orthodics. My knees started to bother me running up the stairs. When Fall came, I started wearing my orthodics more around the house and no more sandals. Magically, my knees stopped bothering me. Look into it, you might need them. I also want to say, I bought a scalp massager this Spring/Summer and use it every day before I shower in the morning. I don't know if it is working, but it makes my scalp feel a lot better. I also dry brush my body every day before I shower. I use hair and face masks twice a week. (I started using Minoxidel about 2 months ago, because I see some scarce hair growth around my top hair line.) I have been using collagen powder for many months now. I like it, It is tasteless and makes me feel like I am trying. I go out for a long walk every day, just to get outside. I think like you, it is very important. My club membership is on hold during the pandemic, but I do try to do weights, crunches and Yoga almost everyday. I started getting hot flashes at 38. I was put on hormone replacement, but after a while, it was time to get slowly off of it. It was hard at first, but now that I am 66 years old, I feel almost normal. No hot flashes to speak of and my body temperature seems to regulate better and I sleep like a rock now. It took a while, though. I take a lot of supplements, including primrose. Since I am semi retired, I have no grand passions anymore. After a life time of business travel, taking classes, etc., I am happy being home and enjoying my home and all it took to make it a home. I like seeing my husband everyday, or not missing celebrations, just watching the seasons and enjoying the wildlife in my backyard, playing with my two kitties and just doing as I please. I read a lot now and I am looking at my old piano thinking, I should start practicing again now that I am home. It has been a while since I played. :-) Thanks, Erin.

Well, I had a check up on Friday and told the doctor about my hair loss. He took a blood test and sure enough, my levels weren't normal. Thanks for this video Erin♥️. I'm perimenopausal & what sucks even more is that ALL the doctors that I've been to here in Canada immediately shut me down or become snarky-asking questions like: "How do you know that how you're feeling is not normal? How many women have you interviewd?"
    Sorry to be ranting.
I wish I could find healthcare that actually cares about patients.
What I've been doing to keep myself going since I became disabled in 2015 due to having a breakdown and being unable to work is: Ensure to get adequate sleep, always keep up with my supplements, i.e, Mg, b vitamins etc, eating whole foods, fasting when I can manage to, counting my blessings(lol), and taking walks when I can.

Erin, I am a retired academic psychologist and researcher. I have taught undergraduates, graduate students, supervised PhD students as well as having a private practice for many years. Though much of my training is in clinical psychology diagnosing and treating serious mental disturbance, my joy always was and is helping women in particular with their psychological development ie how to maximize their emotional well being, their relationships, their life choices for a better present and future. The mind/body connection is so important. Amazing work has been done in recent years using the mind to heal the body, especially chronic pain and also conversely the body to heal the mind. I will in another post list a couple of books for professionals in case you, or anyone else wants to look deeper into these subjects.
When I had my practice I always worked on getting clients into some form of body therapeutic movement in addition to therapy with me. Whatever fit them best: walking, jogging, swimming, yoga, ballet, SOMETHING to get them MOVING and feeling more an active agent in their life AND physically stronger. There was a synergistic effect between healing emotional traumas, goal setting, planning for the future, developing and implementing action plans, feeling physically empowered in ones own body, and achievement. Recently I have learned I have hypothyroidism and since you take thyroid hormone, I wonder if that was an issue for you in the past?
Different mind/ body strategies work well for different people, but the things you mention all sound perfect for you and some will be helpful for others too. For others, a holistic physician may be key to tailoring the best hormone replacement therapy for them and assessing their hormone function post menopause......
Loved you opening up this topic for discussion so that OTHERS can learn more about themsleves...sending you a big hug. Sybil Francis, PhD

Hi Erin..another great video. You have inspired me us years to be our best selves but I turned sixty four. I was feeling older. I have had back surgery five years ago and my back was hurting. I was getting belly fat. I started doing a Supergreen smoothie a tab of Supergreen powder..6 oz drink for lunch...I add spinach, frozen berries, half of a banana, coconut water and a bottle of coffee from Aldis...this makes enough for three..four days. I either work in the yard or I walk three times around our five acre property. I rake leaves, pick up limbs, clean out garden plots. My husband and I watch watch a minister on utube who is very positive...reminds us God is in control. I still take a very minimal amount of estrogen and I take Armour...a non synthetic thyroid medicine. I drink collagen in my coffeee..thank you Erin. I have lost belly fat, improved the shape of my arms and butt and feel ten years younger. I am making cinnamon applesauce ornaments for my nieces and nephews to decorate when we are together at Thanksgiving....they make your house smell so good and kids love to make them. I want to feel good and might try hypnosis. Thanks Erin...you are an inspiration. Love you beautiful girl..inside and out
Oh Gage....what a beautiful little one then and now. Xoxo

The BEST thing we can all do for ourselves to do something we LOVE, it is a MUST! For years I worked jobs just to live, but it my 50's I woke up and said "No more, I'm gonna do something I WANT TO DO!" So I prayed about it and found the job of my DREAMS. I now work with a nationally known and very respected non profit and it feels like I'm going to Church everyday. Sure beats the corporate world hands down, I will never go back there.

Here are the books I mentioned in a previous comment: 1. BY Norman Dodge. MD psychiatrist; 1.1 "The Brains Way of Healing"; "The Brain That Changes Itself". Also: 2. BY Besel Van der Kolk, MD "The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma" The last book is being used to train RNs, especially those working in ERs, police professionals, womens abuse shelter staff, childrens case workers, teachers in high risk schools , anyone who might potentially interact professionally with a child, adult or veteran who has suffered physical or emotional trauma. WARNING:It may be upsetting to those with no experience with trauma victims but it very clearly outlines how victims are helped by movement therapies etc.
All three of these books are based on recent advances in neuroplasticity. It was once believed the brain was more or less physiologically static in many ways in terms of structure and connectivity ie axons , dendrites etc( yes I know technical language but the CONCEPTS in these books are not deeply technical). Now we know the brain itself in some ways can be remodeled just as the body can. THe body does it through exercise, movement, and diet. The brain does it mostly through usage but insight and knowledge help too. The interaction between body and brain is what is so fascinating. The point is that we can change our OWN brains through movement and other activities and with learning as YOU discuss. Learning provides insight into ourselves and others, can change how we think more positively about ourselves and others and provides concrete mastery of concepts affecting in your case how you think about and plan for your new business ventures. LIfelong learning about virtually EVERYTHING life has to offer builds up a storehouse of knowledge and propels us ever forward in life...it is the fuel of positive forward momentum! We just grow and grow as we age when we continue to learn.

Then I had some great uplifting music videos and it was part of my life daily. These things can help. I too was bullied and beat up by kids every day. Yes hair can make a difference! Oh yes hair is huge issue. I had too much hair lol. I do coligen and I did all the things I am supposed to do. Yes we learn until the day we die. My dad taught me to love nature early in life. I have taken so many classes over the years, I could never count them. Getting out in fresh air and airing out my home also all year long. Thank You for sharing your tips with all of us. Hi I do love your channel honestly never commented until today. I’m 54 and people tell me I still look like I’m in my 30s not sure if they’re lying to me lol. Anyway what I do is take care of my skin from head to toe, sunscreen every single day weather I go out or not, I also exfoliate my face daily and my body a few times a week, I don’t drink, smoke. I’m a vegetarian since I’m 7 years old when it was not popular and I got bullied for it from family and at school by the way. I try to be vegan for most part but during the holidays it goes out the window as I love cheeses. I’m passionate about life and everything daily. I keep a gratitude journal to remind me how lucky I am daily to be alive and healthy. I love music and I love to dance yes even by myself. 😊 I enjoy reading and my big passion is Disney I’m a huge Disney fan!! I drink tons of water and I cup of coffee daily with Maca, cinnamon & nutmeg stirred into it. I make sure I get to bed at a decent time. There’s so much more but these are the big ones. Thanks for all you do. PS you’re gorgeous & keep up what you’re doing! 🤗 ~Lucille~

At 28, one would think I'd feel young no matter what. However, despite being a fairly positive person, I tend to overthink and drag myself down. Laughter and silliness make me feel vibrant. But more than that, pursuing entrepreneurial endeavors --I'm a social worker and am designing a mental health journal that tracks symptoms in a measurable way. More than that, I've also been giving a lot of thought to how my current job doesn't utilize my real strengths and am feeling called to do something more administrative in nature, and ideally remote. Thinking about ways to create a life that allows the way I spend my time to reflect my values (having time for friends, family, etc) and also makes me feel like I'm contributing my strongest gifts of organization, details, planning and creativity.

Self care and constant learning are key to keeping young, but I would say the biggest game changer is being around people who are younger than you on a regular basis. I'm not necessarily talking about your own children and their friends, but your younger peers and co-workers. You need to hear them speak, see what they're into, and how they're feeling about the world we are living in to have an appreciation for youth. You will eventually absorb the good that comes with that, while balancing with the experiences that have made you wise!

Thank you! I will use some of these ideas, especially the hypnosis. The #1 thing that impacted my whole life and energy in my 40s was changing to the Nutritarian diet 2 years ago. It helped with hormones and just seriously everything. It was the hardest thing at first, but now it's easy and I love it. I think the name Gage is so cute! In a future video can you do athleisure-type wear? I am a stay home mom online schooling my kids and I feel sloppy :).

I've tried similar things along the lines of affirmations, etc. and they have their place but, boy what a relief to hear other smart women struggle with imposter syndrome and for me even self sabotage.

At 55, I still love working with kids. I'm a middle school teacher and have young grandkids. I'm always amazed that I hear "you're my favorite teacher" or that they want to "hang out with me". It brings me so much joy! Walking and hiking is so good for my body and soul! Zero alcohol too!

Hi Erin, I'm in WA State and am 50 years old. My journey with you started when I searched in RUclips for petite styling and your videos showed up. They were tv segments before your channel. Then, I subscribed to your channel when you started one. Anyways, learned alot from your videos. Thank you for sharing your love of fashion and life.
