The "Just switch off spy" tip to cool down enemy paranoia is actually a really good tip and not just a joke. If your team is over saturated with spies or you can't make an effective play, its a good idea to just swap to a power class to outwait the paranoia and to get the enemy to realize you're no longer playing spy. Then you can switch back when the time and composition is right. You'll be able to catch a medic off guard that you otherwise wouldnt have if you kept brute forcing your presence.

Making enemies paranoid is really an underrated feature of playing Spy. To add to the point of enemies getting distracted due to it, here's a story that happened a couple of hours ago: A round of 2Fort. Spy makes his way into the enemy intel room using Cloak and Dagger. However, on a staircase he accidentally bumps into an enemy Demoman (Grenade launcher; Charge'n'Targe; Half-Zatoichi) who, thinking there are no other threats, begins frantically hitting every corner of the intel room (and the hallways) with his sword, in an attempt to spycheck. He did it several times, in fact, thinking that the Spy will run out of cloak soon. But checking every single corner left him completely unprepared for two Scouts that entered the room a couple of minutes later. Not only he had to spend time switching his weapon to the grenade launcher, but to turn around as well. He got killed and the trio of two Scouts and one Spy proceeded to capture the intelligence.
I cant stress enough how underrated you are. Personally as an experienced spy player, Im already accustomed to all the psychology and tactics displayed in your videos. But you’re the first tf2ber I’ve seen to put these fundamental knowledge and skills into condensed sections so cohesively. Keep contributing greatly to the intermediate spy playerbase, mate.
Damn, the editing is on a whole another level - really impressive and informative! Also, Y.E.R.'s backstabs aren't actually silent - they make a muffled default knife stab sound. Not sure how but I'm able to hear them behind me even when playing as a heavy and actively shooting someone. The sound design is just insane in this game.
Perhaps it's less useful in serious matches, but also using voice lines yourself while invisible to actively agitate the enemy team, or to freak people out, can be useful to throw off someone you couldn't kill yourself. Might just distract them while they look for you, and miss the scout that just shot them in the back when they turn around. :P
