John Rambo: Myth or Monster?

For most of the "First Blood" movie franchise, John Rambo is shirtless and spectacular. Fighting bad guys! Blasting machine guns! Saving POWs!
But not in Rambo (2008).
Director Sylvester Stallone works hard to tear down the myth of this character in the fourth movie of the series by showing every brutal, bloody consequence of his heroic actions, which forces us to question our usual rah-rah response to onscreen violence in this franchise.
