Thanks for sharing. Parkdean seem to be moving away from camping more and more. We too stayed at highlands end one February. Liked it there. Last time we stayed at freshwater beach which was other side of west bay. Big site but a bit too much for me in august.

In 1986, I went into a little amusement arcade in West Bay. Inside was a 2p coin cascade machine that desperately needed servicing. It went _skreeek!....skkronk .. skreeek!....skkronk._ Back and forward, back and forward.. SKREEEK! SKRONNNK! Five or six years later I visited West Bay again and went into the same amusement arcade.. _skreeek!....skkronk ...skreeek!....skkronk ..._ I distinctly remember it only had a couple of handfuls of 2p coins on it, and I could not for the life of me understand why it was running. In 2005 I visited, and... _skreeek!....skkronk ... skreeek!....skkronk ..._ Still with only a sad handful of 2p coins on it. Almost 20 years, and I don't think they ever even turned the damn thing off. For some reason it is my enduring memory of West Bay. I wonder if it's still there? Maybe it's haunted? I live only an hour and half's drive from West Bay but I haven't been there for a long time. I might take a drive down there before Summer ends.

Motorhome all day long had a 6.5 meter rib and costs a fortune to run and went to west bay by boat never in the motorhome so a big thank you to you as we are new to motorhome and love your adventures
We found the entertainment to be of poor quality for adults, maybe be ok for children and it may of changed from when we went. I don't blame the staff as they do try their best. That's just our opinion and everyone has different opinions so check it out and please let us know your thoughts. Happy travels 😊
This is my nearer local coast. We are going today for my birthday. There have been regular cliff falls in recent years. Also there have been TV series filmed here - Broadchurch and Harbour Lights. I hope you enjoyed your stay 😊

Yes the amusement arcade is still there! My son loves it, I love it. It’s so tiny and cute 🥰
