It took me (Lee) about 6 months to realise I had lost my sense and it's been a hard learning curve ever since. The food I like and dislike has changed even what I drink. On a good note bad smells are no longer bad but if i could have my senses back that would be amazing. Hopefully you may get your senses back as I was told it's possible up to a year unfortunately for me it's gone past that and this is my new normal. I hope it's not the same for you ❤️

@lifes4touring I so appreciate your help, it's been very hard to accept, I'm getting there and realised I've been very lucky (could have been permanently disabled etc) but it's 6 months tomorrow since I fell from height and landed on concrete, throughout the day I've been getting chemical smells (nasty one's) but they don't think I'll get my sences back, if I could choose one it would be smell too as a safety thing, I can't even remember what things used to smells like now weird I know.

Hi Ron, We can just imagine the freedom with a motorhome back in the 60s as things have definitely got harder. It seems everything that once was free has now got some sort of charge. We will go back to Old Sarum and check it out as we wouldn’t have had time that day before they closed. It's a lovely area. Happy travels 😊

Hi Kevin, thank you for this information. We communicated with Sargent, and they confirmed the system they have put in place is compatible with lithium and all that was needed was a one for one swap. However, this is something we will double check with the installers. 👍 Happy travels 😊

Hi Nick, thank you 😊 If you look at the panels, you will see plastic discs on one side. they pop out and you then have access to the screw, once they are all unscrewed you can then remove the panel. Just a easy to put them back. Hope this helps and happy travels 😊

Hi you will be on about Reverse polarity when the power station or generator is plugged into the van. This will make all sockets live however if there is a faulty appliance the safety fuses will still work. Happy travels 👍😊

I like them. However, you need a subscription which is around £8 a month for the best use. But this is optional if you just want to look a see if everything outside the motorhome is ok if in bed or away from the motorhome then no subscription is needed and you can stop and start anytime. There may be other cameras out there but this is our choice and there is a newer model out now which is something to consider. Hope this helps

Even though the Search for Sites app says to use that entrance someone has said other use the campsite entrance so maybe that is an option. We will let Search for Sites know to see in the information on the App can be changed.

Hi Clive, thank you very much we appreciate your support 😊 Yes that track you are asked to come in on isn’t the best and may get worse in the summer months, so it needs some maintenance and cutting back. Hopefully, this will happen or if we visit again we will go in at the campsite entrance. We were at Tree Trees for a week and didn't see anyone use the entrance you used, everyone used the main entrance

That would make perfect sense, the only reason we used that entrance is because it tells you to on search for sites App. We will put in to see if they can update their information so others don’t fall for the same fate as we did. Thanks, Clive as always we really appreciate it 👍😊

Hi Mark, totally understand your concerns. I'm not overly sure how your tanks sit on the Escape. If it's the same as ours, then you do have to be careful on rougher terrain. Normal road use is fine as long as you are careful going over big bumps/speed bumps etc. All we can advise is from our experience - we have moved our freshwater outlet to the middle under the van and level with the chassis. This has made it less vulnerable as we have knocked it off in the past. Also, others have had VB Full Air suspension fitted to lift the vehicle higher off the ground when needed. It's something to just be mindful of. Hope this helps and happy travels. 😊

@lifes4touring Hi Lee, thanks for responding it looks like Swift have put the fresh water valve in the middle, but the waste water towards the offside. The main tank does seem low, especially the cap. We have air suspension on the rear of our motorhome at the moment and it does give a good rise. However, I'm told that just having a rear installation on the alko chassis doesn't do a great deal. The full air is better, but wow that is a big investment and regrettably I don't think my pension will stretch that far. I think we will have to be careful as you suggest and possibly look at putting a shaped piece of aluminium over them to try and offer some protection. Cheers.

That's great they have moved the freshwater outlet to the middle the same as the new model of the Kon Tiki. We haven’t had an issue with the wastewater outlet so far. 👍 Having rear air suspension, at least you have some rise available, which is better than nothing at all. Tomorrow night's video, we do mention briefly about the tanks and why we didn’t go for the new model. The cost of the full air suspension is high compared to the rear air suspension, unfortunately the only way to really lift the vehicle higher but any protection you can add is better than just leaving it vulnerable. We just hope Swift listens and corrects this one downside to the motorhome because other than that the motorhome itself is great. 👍

Thank you Bob. It would be easier if the Bluetooth system was able to stay on. However, it seems if the battery is not in use it shuts it off. The batteries themselves are a big improvement from what we had so overall we are very happy with them. I've just looked up Sargent Lithium compatible DC-DC and AC-DC charger. You have the Sargent DXC30 -12 and I can see the benefits so will talk to Abacus about having that fitted. 😊

@ the DX30 charger is the mains charger when on EHU the dc to dc charger only works when the engine is running. I’ve had problems with mine because it doesn’t have one and the standard battery is just useless. The shunt provided me all the data to prove it’s not charging properly. It doesn’t matter what system you have because it’s just a measurement system of any load positive or negative from the battery. Now you have two lithium batteries it would give you the total capacity of your system and very easy to monitor using the Victron app. There are loads of videos on RUclips about dc to dc and shunts.
