Great choice bringing up House At The Edge of The Park. Other than Cannibal Holocaust it’s definitely Ruggero Deodato’s best film. Speaking of which, Rest in Peace to a horror legend. Would make sense to cover one of his films now.
The one mask that intrigues me on your wall and probably needs a well done indepth review of the Movie and soundtrack is Phantom Of the Paradise.....a forgotten gem with a Great Bluray and honestly it's completely overshadowed by Rocky Horror
Tennessee Luke's "Play Detective" is so damn good haha I always end up watching it three times in one sitting and then it's stuck in my head for a week! Happy 2023 Movie Dumpster! You are the Trillest of Trill!!
Happy New Year n stuff boys!. It's a bit early but half a "J bird" and a new Movie Dumpster episode sounds good about now. I've heard of this film but haven't watched it, not yet anyway but I will.
Never seen this one. Thank you for a great year of entertainment, really glad the channel is getting more popular :) As for the "who copied who?" debate,i think that is one of those cases of parallel thinking: probably there were a story or novel or a tv show that got popular at the time with a similar concept(the killer being the mother of the child that died) and the idea just stuck on many creative people. It happens all the times frankly. Or maybe they were going to the same hairdresser, who knows? XD
Here's the movie uncut... ruclips.net/video/XyGCtxuj-Ig/видео.html TO ALL A GOODNIGHT seemed like an experiment to me. David Hess and crew tried to build a Frankenstein monster which had success in certain areas but failed in others. For your viewing pleasure...
Speaking of these early slashers sharing similiar plot devices, it's also worth noting that Prom Night (also released in 1980), shared the same inciting incident with this film, a young girl is being bullied, gets cornered by the bullies, and accidently falls to her death from a broken window. Years later a mysterious caller is seen going through a high school year book, crossing out a list of names and class photos as he taunts/threatens those involved in the young girl's death. The killer then stalks and kills them one by one at the senior prom. Prom Night also has a creepy janitor character that is used as a red herring.
Great episode guys Merry Christmas I just watched this again last night I freaking love this movie the Blu-ray kick ass so glad I picked it up when it came out
Thanks for doing a video on this movie, because I had never heard of it before. I had a lot of fun with this movie, even if it did drag here and there. Look forward to what you guys have in store for this year.
I found this on RUclips. Interesting movie. It definitely had me guessing who killer(s) were. I actually thought Alex the brain was the killer. Never a dull moment. I recently saw that David Hess was in a horror movie called Nutcracker: An American Nightmare (2001) released by Brain Damage Films (Gawd I love some of their flicks). I've never seen it, but it looks pretty wild. Awesome Episode guys 🤟🎅🤶💀
With the ending when the other Santa picks up Mrs Jensen’s body, I had a quick flash of the beginning to Phantasm III with the retooled ending of Phantasm II and the other Tall Man picking up the previous Tall Man’s body. 😂 Enjoy some time off and Happy New Year fellas!
That’s just what we chose to to categorize and date episodes. It’s also easier to reference when we talk about the MDU (Movie Dumpster Universe) or other jokes that run through a particular set of episodes/seasons. They all have their own flavor and flow. It’s mostly personal preference. It feels more concise and exciting to end a season and start a new one instead of saying “we’re back with episode 302!” and while I understand your point of why having numbers at all, I prefer to look at it as a TV show rather than just random movie reviews. Again, it all has an ebb and flow when you look at the movies and what were discussing. Thanks for watching! 🙏💚📼 -Joe
Please invite Bridget from The Girl Behind the Counter (channel) as a guest; I feel like you guys would have magical chemistry. Yes she's hot but that is not the point.
@@MovieDumpster this channel is everything I have ever wanted, so you deserve the thanks! There is no place else on the web for Tales From the Darkside content, except in the Dumpster
Hess Truck reference!

I appreciate the way you guys review movies in a way that doesn't spoil the fun when I watch the movie afterwards.

Why do you provide the season number and episode number? I’m not sure what we’re supposed to do with this information.

Who wrote Dolby saying that being attacked by pigeons is almost as bad as a 0.38 to the back of the head?
We had a good idea of what we wanted to do, but we ad-libbed the entire thing. That was Sean just being Sean, haha. -Joe
Sean was very funny in the review too. I love these reviews but have only seen like 9% of these movies. John Carpenters Vampires like 5 times tho
Thanks for another banger! I gotta check this movie out…🎅🏻

There's a familiar looking poster on one of the bedroom doors. I'm curious to know what that is. Could anyone thrill me? 4:13
Sure that's the right time stamp?
You guys should review Reptilian (1999) at some point. Its hilariously awful.

Not gonna lie, I just think this movie is cool because of the pilot's brown chicken brown cow mustache.
