My wife bought me an Evoque F5D for Christmas last year and it has been incredible. I can only imagine it being better with the O3 system. I run a Caddx Peanut on mine just because it is so light. The O3 feed is an upgrade over that for sure.

@@FPV_TOMMY I have the Iflight page up now. After what DJI did with that Avata update it does concern me. The whole internet connection BS should not have happened, the quad also drops out of the sky. DJI's solution was to have the quad kick into normal mode when it fails. That is a bandaid, not a fix and they throw remote ID in the same update which from what I hear forces users to have an internet connection. The final rule of 2020 specifically stated that an internet connection would not be required but DJI and the FAA do whatever is best for them. Worst case scenario I would go back to analog.

This is sick! As the owner of the first Nazgul Evoque F5D, I can say without a doubt I would definitely buy this one, it's that damn good!
Same but I think I'm going to just buy the frame and o3 air and swap my f5d over. The F5D is great my only concern is the weight. Which is why I'm also consider going with the AOS5 O3
@@swb1410 I own both Nazgul Evoque F5D and AOS 5 v2. Both with caddx vista VTX.
Not sure if I need to swap the frame and VTX to O3 air unit.
@@megadony93 how do you like the f5d compares to the AOS 5?
@@swb1410 well you can't do hardcore freestyle on the Evoque. But AOS 5 is lightweight and durable. It also flies better because you can put less filters meaning you get less latency which improves handling. Overall AOS feels sharper and responsive.

Awesome video👍 The best possible version of this would be with build in GPS which they do as well so you can get the information like altitude, distance, home position to your goggles. It's no poit to buy one without GPS. You can have it all in one straight from the box already installed. Great drone gamechanger in FPV world. It's so much easier these days.

I'm a newb but have 30+ years in rc choppers. I'm primarily only interested in sub 250 gm quads, but this and others like it look very interesting. I've ordered the G2 goggles so the 03 camers is what I want some day. I'm not really interested in all the crazy flying called freestyle and am mostly interested in doing surveillance and cinematography. Comparatively, this drone is close to the DJI Mini 3 Pro in price. I'm sure when the Mini 4 Pro comes out with this 03 camera, it will be much more than the 3 Pro, especially since it will have the added side sensors. So here's my no drone time, ignorant question. For my desired goal in flying, would the DJI Mini type drones (sub 250 gm) be a better choice? This is a bigger badder freestyle drone I know and u can run your own size batteries, but there's no avoidance system at all. When u r 76 u need avoidance systems. Maybe I just answered my own question.

I also think 2.7k is enough plus you can save on some storage. Can film in 4:3 too, can't do that in 4K
Just got mine delivered today. Flies like a dream. The only negative is I miss the black remote. I’m going to have to get used to this new gray remote. I’m not too crazy about the buttons I’d rather the switches.
Iflight makes nice BNF's. They get alot of bad rep, but (for my part) I've never had a problem with my Iflight BNFs
That braided camera cable is what comes standard with the O3 air unit. I have 2 of them.

I do RC plane chases with my DJI FPV drone. I like it just fine. But it tops out at about 85 miles an hour. I'm looking at this drone as a replacement for the higher end chases. I only judge by 2 things. Speed and endurance. Can the 5,6, or 7 do speeds in excess of 85 and maintain them for a flight time over 4 minutes?

It would be "massive" 😉 if iflight was going to Release a bnf where the complete O3 Air Unit was Hot swappable to be able to transfer it quickly to another quad (like a gopro) or use it with a 3d print and lipo as a Action cam. Cheers!
Hmmm, I feel that theoretically that this would not be too hard to do, you would need to solder a plug to the o3, and plugs to the different quads that you are going to use them, then you would just need to unscrew a few screws, nice it over, plug it in, then unscrew it. (You probably wouldn’t have to change any BF settings if you only fly with that o3 and do your another system in there in the mean time. I feel like this is a super good idea that could become a thing because o3 units are not cheap lol, and if you have 6 or 7 quads… that gets expensive
@@zuzmw you are probablly right. Nxp200 has never the less tryed to Design such a thing he calls It the nxp200 03 switchblock ruclips.net/video/_UYBph-CrHs/видео.html . I think it is a very good First try tho it is to heavy and would need a frame with a short top plate. Also the betafpv Pico o3 is kinda good step in the right direction but they haven't had the ability to hotswap in mind I am afraid. What do you think?
Excellent technical report out! If using DJI FPV controller and V2 googles do the DJI components in this Nazgul config require remote-ID activation during the binding process?
There is no remote ID on O3 as we understand it today.

Does the O3 unit have a custom case? Can you not swap to a different frame? If you break the air unit, do you need to buy a custom unit from iflight? Or is it just a holder for the OEM case?
Love what iFlight is doing with their FPVs! The 02 version of this quad is fantastic as well......great review as always! One thing I've not been able to confirm (though specs look the same) is; Is the DJI O3 Air Unit Camera the exact same camera that's built into the AVATA System? Specs look the same...perhaps someone can confirm?

I would really like to see performance reviews. Blackbox logs and seeing what the tuning limits are because of frame resonances. It feels like aside from AOS nobody is really looking into the flight characteristics of these things.
He’s just not a BNF review guy. I was wondering the same thing. I’ve heard talk about gyros not working properly for image stabilization, and it would be nice to know how the quad handles those issues. Mads Tech is on a high right now and I suspect he’s trying to use this platform to boost his channel or something. He knows a lot, but there’s way too much repeated information. He’s basically making a lot of these videos assuming the viewer hasn’t watched anything on the O3. Gosh, the cliche BNF title just made me roll my eyes. How can you suggest something the best if you don’t even fly it, and also, there aren’t any O3 BNFs really to compete with.
Ok No1 , no where have I said Iv not flown it. At the point of making this video I had over 20 flights on the craft however at that point I decided to stop it there and I will cover the rest in another video.
2: yes I aimed this at people who don’t t know what O3 is. For as many people who complain about to much info on O3 as many would complain they knew nothing about it. It’s a no win for me.
3: I make the content I choose to make and frankly if you don’t like it don’t watch. Iflight reached out and I agreed to look at it. I’m sorry that does not suit what you expect but again frankly I don’t care.
I can do what ever the hell I want on my channel. If I wanted to start to make Betaflight content I could, no one dictates what I do on my channel and just because you don’t think I should cover it changes nothing.
If you don’t like it then please watch else where, that’s what’s amazing about RUclips there is something for everyone.

it was hard to know which bnf DJI O3 system to go with for a relative fpv newb wanting to get more into cinematic freestyle (avata in manual and 50 hours in the sim - terrible) :)
went with the geprc mark5 ordered direct from geprc. fingers crossed you can do a proper review of that system when you get your hands on one. great review as always - subscribed

@@joshuasterling2144 I have the Zorro Radiomaster 4 in 1 so I’ve preordered the 1 watt nano Radiomaster elrs module for it but also bought the tiny elrs radio from geprc to have for backup and to use while waiting on the module.

I have an elrs module but I am afraid I may have hurriedly ordered the smaller module and since I have moved I have not flown at all. Cheers and good luck. Gep does a good job and so does iFlight. Heyy! This is gonna be my first drone (iFlight Nazgul F6 V2 6S, 2.4Gz RX), I'm curious:
1. How do I connect the DJI O3 to the Integra and the Drone to the Commando 8 ELRS 2.4Gz (I dont know how things work around the FPV world)?
2. Do I need any additional antenna for the remote (Commando 8 ELRS 2.4Gz)?
3. Does the battery charge through the drone's type C port? (If not then I guess the HOTA D6 charger is a mandatory purchase?)
I get that they send this to you but in general do you prefer/recommend Crossfire or ELRS 2.4GHz? Thanks for your review.

Help? I don't see any presets in the preset tab. It days error loading presets from the internet. Any thoughts?
Edit: Now some have appeared but if I write nazgul or iflight in the search it's empty. Under categories drop down menu I don't even have BNF option. It stars with filters. I have Beta Flight 4.3.2
I'm also kind of afraid to flash the firmware on the flight controller this being a BNF drone. I watched Joshua Bardwell Betaflight tutorial and he said this will erase all setting iFlight has put on it.
Hi Ian. Really helpful video. I'm In the process of building this drone. On the Blitz mini wiring diagram it shows the use of a BEC voltage regulator between the 03 air unit and FC? Do you think is required or just a nicety? thanks
There is a lot of debate over Becs and O3 however I see no reason not to use it.

I'm really jealous of the O3 cable, it always causes problems with my Vista.
At this time watching this video it appears GitHub branches changed.. There is an iFlight-factory-4.3; however, normally in software development feature branches are worked and then merged into the main branch (master, main, or a developer branch). Is there a reason to not just point to the master branch, or maybe at the time of recording these presets were not merged into master yet?

Wow what a beautiful piece of work from iflight. DJI knocked it out of the park with the o3 system.
I have a quick question on recording with the air unit. I have went through all the settings. All flights stop recording at about 3 minutes 43 seconds then it starts a 2nd file that records the rest of the flight. I sure hope there is a setting I am missing. If anyone knows I would really appreciate the fix! Thank you in advance.,!!
Sadly that’s the 4Gb file size limitation kicking in. You could try formatting the sdcard as EXFAT and see if that helps

So i bought this frame kit.... but noticed u said the fc stack was a mini... will my 30x30 stack fit on this? Or do I need to purchase a 20x20 now?

I noticed you liked the Iflight AOS 5 also. I see that now has a 03 version. The hardware looks the same. I think the AOS 5 frame is slightly better for freestyle ?
I guess the difference would be durability and weight maybe ?
Aos 5 is just fantastic too. But they are quite different. I’d say the Nazgul is like a high end M series BMW, lots of great additions and really well made but more than capable. And the AOS5 is like a mclaren, stripped back raw and just on point. The Aos is probably the best it’s got just what you need BNF period.
What's the angle of the cage upfront? Does it still protect the camera and no frame in view when it's at any angle besides the same angle as the front of the cage?
I just noticed, I wonder if the Freewell Avata ND filters will work on this O3... was about to order some, but now Im doubting.
Fcc / ham hack working ? Since its the release version would be goos to know since you said the beta fw doesn’t have the ham file function
Without a way around CE mode this is just an expensive paperweight

there is only one feature that is missing for me, and that is wireless Betaflight config. I would like to build that quad myself, but then I'm missing the custom heatsink. And I guess that is mandatory for the closed frame style.

If I bought the evoque with the Elrs module, can I still fly it using the dji remote 2 ?
You would have to rewire it to take the input from the O3 but it’s absolutely possible. They usually remove the wires from the harness though on ELRS models so you would need a new cable from the O3 to the FC.
Hey man thanks for the review. I have the dji googles 2 and the dji fpv remote controller 2 and i just lost my avata to the sea. What will be different from the avata in terms of security features? Can you activate the RTH and pause button like with the avata? Thanks a lot.
There is a GPS add on you can get which enables RTH mode.

Hi Mads Tech. Are antenna LHCP or Liniear ? google 2 have linear antennas or LHCP ? i own GOOGLE V2 with standard antennas and they seem LHCP.... this is a mess, can't find any info about that
There is no lhcp on the dji v2's, they transmit liniar
Hey Mads, have you experience any issue like what OriginalDobo had with loss of video ? i saw on captain drone had a crash as well. I just bought this quad, havent flown it yet, wld be using it to get cinematic shots, over water alot, have a fear now of it losing video and losing my go pro etc.
I have seen no issues my self. My advice is the same for any quad. You should perform any testing and shake down flights in a safe known location. Make sure everything is working as expected before doing anything risky and understand that there is always more risk flying over water than land. Many strange and crazy things happen over water you often don’t see over land and understand the risks. Other than that you will be fine.

Hi can i record the gyrodata on the 03 airunit and then use it for bmpcc 4k in gyroflow ?
Technical question: The avata has GPS, so region is set on the goggles2 based on region (atleast my understanding, unless DJI ships 2 different pre-activated FCC and CE goggles and O3's). But we if you just buy the goggles2 and o3, how does the system know you are in europe and be in CE mode? Now, I bought and iFlight Nazgul Evoque F5 V2 with O3 (should arrive tomorrow), but since it comes from China, wouldnt that be an SRRC model? Or how are these modes set. Tried to understand but it is hard to find any info. I have the Avata also and have it set to FCC with the HAM file. But how does the O3 switch? If I understand correctly, it's the goggles2 that tell what mode the O3 should be?
Region is set on activation by assistant 2 or the fly soo. That how it knowns
@@MadRC Thx, well according to iflight, they test the quad before sending it, wouldnt that mean it is activated already? Wonder if you use VPN to be in the states and activate it, it will be FCC. But if it is activated already... KInda screwed. Not sure if yours came pre-activated for review. Thx for the reply though and good morning!

Hi @Mads Tech! I have bought this exact model with CRSF as a used drone for cheap. I am a complete beginner and upgraded from a DJI Avata. I was expecting it to work BNF with the Goggles 2 and DJI FPV Remote 2. Unfortunately, it seems that this is not the case since the CRSF RX is using the UART2 Port and Serial SBUS from DJI O3 is not connected.
Does anybody know how to easily make it work with my setup? I was assuming I can just switch UARTS in Betaflight but it does not seem to be as easy as that... Again, I am really new to the hobby and wiring diagrams are pretty much like hieroglyphs to me for now.. :O
Can this drone rip as hard as Mr Steele does in his videos? I know a lot of skill is needed, but its something I want to get into in that style of flying if my skills improve. Been looking to build one, but this seems to be close if I look at specs.

Mine just burst into flames after a 15 second flight!! Any idea why? Like the 5th flight with zero crashes. I'm PISSED!!
battery failure I guess? You have a lipo battery on there, I don't see what else could just burst by itself.
@janmajnik6889 after going over it with a friend we concluded, the 03 air units cable fused with the flight controller and one of the wiring harness wernt plugged all the way in due to one if the pins being bent

Some pilot worry about the precision of DJI controller not accurate when slow frying.
I have this bird and must tell I'm disappointed with a few design issues. There is no easy way to put elrs 2.4 micro receiver in the back (it's too tight there) and standard 2.4g antenna coax is just not long enough to go all the way to the front. But the thing distracts me the most is the antennas iflight has used for dji o3 vtx. In stock you get poor quality LHCP antennas with rp-sma connectors. They don't take much abuse and you are getting poor video performance within 500 meters as their internal structure breaks. They are not linear-polarized as it should be to achieve best possible performance. Now I have to redesign and reprint the back antenna mount to use original DJI o3 antenna. Not the way I've expected to go paying the price.
i would love to have one of those but the price of near 600 usd with crossfire keeps me at bay

They are now located with in Betaflight. You will need to add the repository. Iflgoht have their own GitHub for this.
