200 for the analog quad is an amazing price in this time frame of fpv, i paid more for a nazgul v2 years ago
considering the cost of just an O3 air unit that is quite the value
Just purchased this, and expecting delivery in a few weeks. Great to see it gets your seal of approval. Thank you for yet another amazing review.
Fantastic flying and review, Ian! 😃
Awesome quad indeed!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
thanks Ian.. You are appreciated
Thanks for the amazing video, just got mine i'm still new to FPV I've got Avata 1 but never touched a "real FPV" so thanks for guiding us trough Betaflight etc.. I'm pretty confident for the first flight I'll do today now :)
That looks like a nice little ripper. My first quad over two years ago was a Nazgûl V2. Crashing and fixing that gave me the confidence to start building my own. Think this would be a great first quad for someone.
There is an X configuration, but it’s only available in the analog version
Dead cat not X
@@mikediggsv2 there is an Eco XL5, it’s an ‘X’ frame. Not deadcat
Thank you, sir.
Interesting frame and set-up.
I'll probably keep building Source Ones, as I have made them very HDZ friendly. They seem to fly great and I've gotten used to them. [I don't hate DJI, I just prefer HDØ; and support Carl's work/contribution] I greatly appreciate you sharing the BLHeli-32 news coming down the pike and will be better prepared for the future of Quadcopter products. I came from fixed and really love the new birds/flying things.
Appreciate all of your content and I'm still very interested in 3D Printing. Curiosity driven.
Thanks for the footage, Ian.
Blessings
✌
I agree - iFlight does make incredibly fun, well-built BNF. I think the Nazguls are the most fun -- and the Nazgul line is available in 4", 5" and 6" sizes (and a 10" frame with the Nazgul name, but it is not a BNF).
I was checking the analog version on the iflight website, since I’m not into DJI.
In particular I wanted to see what camera was included, but there is zero spec on it! With all the option buttons on the page, the camera choice is a surprise?
Care to review the analog version?
I'll do that in few days! Waiting for shipment
Very nice review.
Is it possible to use an bigger batery and do some mild range flygth ? ( aiming more than 5 minutes, perhaps 8 or 10 minutes ?)
Great review. I’m looking forward to buy the o3 version but unfortunately the goggles 3 are not compatible with it at the moment. Any infos if Dji is gonna update the o3 in the near future?
Proof folks don't need to spend the price of a 2nd hand runaround car to have loads of fpv fun.
I've bought and sold loads of expensive digital quads after playing with them, including the 5" nazgul Evoque, chimera 7", roma f5 v2, apexes, babyhawks, cinelogs, moz 7, bob57, Bee35, and plenty of others.
Yet I've still kept my trusty Skystars 5″ Limited Edition DIY F7, 55A ESC Drone Kit that cist
£125.11 and I swapped the analogue for a caddx polar vista.
For too much emphasis on the best drones, to be flown with mediocre skill nowadays (just like my flying..) . Even this is expensive because of the o3 unit.
However, at least when it's crashed you can build the o3 into something else without losing too much sleep over the cost.
Thanks for the video Ian.
Such a great video. Thank you so much for your contribution for the fpv community. I'm really tempted to buy that drone as first real fpv drone after avata and avata2. Do you think it worth waiting for dji O4 air unit? Regards from UK
I have been wondering the same thing I want to wait on 04
Will there be drones like this coming out with the o4 system that I can use with my Goggles-3?
Inwas planning to either buy a nazgul evoque or a flywoo explorer for my first fpv drone, but this one is tempting!
BTW, between those two, do you think explorer can be as good as nazgul for polyvalent flights? Because i love the sub250g out of regulation :)
Great video! For $200 the Analog is a pretty great deal for a solid fpv drone that if like the nazgul5 is a durable design, and would nake a great first drone or even just more new drones to fly lol.
Whats great about the iflight frames usually is that, if a motor arm does break theyre super quick to swap and used to be like $10 for a pair of them. So having gotten 6 arms total when i bought them and they fit front and rear for the X’s and front or rear for the DC/squashed X version here. Not sure what it’s considered..
So is this basically a Nazgul5 XL5 V5 frame underneath, for the new X version of this, or no?
Can this frame in the X be bought separately to build onto?
I like the O3 camera guard and ive had really good luck with my nazgul and other iflight drones too
Also can you confirm if the frames between this new iflight drone are the same Analog vs O3/HD?
Wondering about that for future upgrades to digital O3 later on..
Thanks!
This or the flywoo explorer LR4? This will be my first big quad purchase.
Apart the dc vs x, they are all equal, just fc different
Does this mean the RC link can only use 5,8ghz when using the DJI fpv controller? since it doesn't have the default dual band antenna of the O3 air unit. Will this mean worse performance?
Great video - very informative! Anybody have an STL file for a HGLRC M100 Mini to fit on this drone? Been looking for a while! Thanks.
My first drone was the nazgal it was really good but due to the crappy battery life of my zorro it’s now Laying in the bottom of a massive lake but at least it has my hero 7 black for company 😢😢
Why is it dead-cat...Im sure they will have a true-x , nice quad , but dead-cat not for me , I still have my original Envoge flies like a dream, its 4s but configure for 6s....its a beast...thanks Ian🦁🦁🦁
Theres XL5 Eco - its true x but only for analog
Hope this doesn't glitch and loose connection like the regular nazguls.
You mean rx loss, or video feed loss? I had problems with mine - my nazgul f6d went into the river :v
Do you fly with 25mW
At 20:45, you say that you are flying in 04-60fps mode.
Did you mean 03 or is it something I have missed?
No sorry meant O3 😂
Hi everyone. I'm new to drones of this type, what would I need to fly this drone? I have the DJI Goggles Integra and the FPV controller 2, but including the drone is there anything (apart from a battery :).
In the video, Ian mentioned there are three RX versions: None, ELRS and TBS. The None is set up to fly with the DJI remote controller 2, the other with a dedicated transmitter for that protocol. So you should be good.
However, advanced answer, what I would do in your case would be to still get the ELRS version, which I bet can be setup to fly with the Controller 2 as well. This way I get an upgrade path to a better controller in the future. Again, this path needs a bit of advanced understanding but not THAT much.
@@nick.raptis ok thank you. I was going to get the more expensive option but wasn't sure if there is anything else I need apart from the battery.
@@siriuslaat4976 You still want the HD version, but yeah, the option clearly says "No RX I use DJI RC2" and the price difference from the "ELRS 2.4" I'd get is like 15 pounds.
Now, as far as other things you need except a battery and charger.... Soldering supplies and a lot of spare parts down the line. Welcome 😁😁😁
are they sma or rp-sma?
Pay load area?seems gimmick ? Application? Efficiency? Maneuver? combination? so what's next speed. Passenger safety?1+1 $= 3????1×1=1still?
Learning how to build a drone is half the fun.
Not for everyone, plus it right now very frequently cost even more than BNF
$200 for a quad is good 👍 going to get a cheap camera and a cheap VTX Remember Tyro
Where is the $200 option?
Analog without receiver - XL5 Eco
@@Mechavis thanks!
One little crash with these motors and bells are bend. Xing 1 was much better
They are made of soft material and the grooves on the motor mounts go bad in just a few times.
Why is nobody reviewing the $199 version!!!
I'll be doing that in a few days - waitin dor my shipment ;)
@@Mechavis man, you never upload
because... analog 😂
Is it really ECO? Solar powered? Recycled props? FC chip from a broken washing machine? 😂
Eco means it's worse from the original, same as eco from none eco irl😂
Eco for Economical.
You're British, aren't you ?
Why say the price in dollars ?
Because my largest audience is in the USA as is most of FPV.
You are cinematic fpv pilot
