    Cam was beast. Don’t know why he took that much physical damage. He didn’t need to. He’s got a cannon for an arm. But I knew he wasn’t gonna go strong for the long haul. Too bad. Dude had insane talent. I think he fell into some strange places in his head too. Wished he had better guidance from his coaches and agents. Oh well, he’s rich. He don’t need to worry about much.

    • @jcyensen1236
      @jcyensen1236 Год назад +2

      You don't speak for me. I was furious when the manager picked Cam because of him being a running QB. Atlanta already went through that with Vick and it was proved useless. Then it was out that Cam came with an unpleasant background in college and changed colleges several times. His running is only a surprise once its caught on too by teams its useless as the practice to stop it just like they did Vick in Atlanta who was Newton's idol. Running QB become targets and to sac and are often end up injured which Cam was. When Cam was upset then he pouted and the the game was over. Lost. Just when he came out at the SB. When we saw Cam come out on that field everyone went whats wrong with Cam look at the look on his face. I watched a few plays and left--I was not going to watch the beating the Panthers were going to get. That year the new manager had hired a group of top players in the league and they were great and played great and won every game that year except one loss and that was even questionable.Other players were embarrassed with him and often tried to get him to act more mature.

    I do wish there were a few facts you checked a bit more. For example. He was "permitted to seek a trade" but he did NOT want to leave and turned down offers. He was pushed out by a new regime. He then took the hardest job in the NFL at the time. He also balled out in the pre-season for NE but they likely saw Mac doing well and made the decision that looked best for the future at the time. Mac played well for sure and its an understandable move when looking at the future. Also, in the post game interview after the SB he could hear the winning teams interview right behind him after losing the biggest game of his life. They literally drowned out his interview and you can hear it clearly. They were specifically talking about him passing etc and he probably wanted to smack them. I have a few more little things but id say those are the more major ones outside of his actual on target percentage being pretty good in NE.

    This was always going to be the fate of Cam Newton. Even in his MVP/Super Bowl year Cam has always had terrible throwing mechanics. Cam is the king of the back foot throw. His otherworldly athletic ability covered up for terrible mechanics. Once he became just another athlete he still had the same terrible mechanics but his athletic ability could no longer cover it up. Superior athletes can throw crappy throws and get completions, average athletes get interceptions. If someone along the way would have fixed his throwing motion while it was still fixable he would still have a job at least as a very experienced and talented backup. But they didn’t and this became his fate.

    • @336legend6
      @336legend6 Год назад

      I agree and disagree with this. Cam did throw off his back foot and he should have fixed it but his downfall was injuries. He got better as a passer but our receivers never really got separation. And our offense was based on running and medium to deep passes. And cam Been hurt since 2016. Had multiple shoulder surgeries.

      It's not the IQ it's the politics in football. Look at the cast that most Black QBs has had now look at the same cast of the so called great QBs. Offensive line , receivers,tight ends and tell me how they done so much without the cast of your so called greatest Quarterbacks. Not only that , running offensive scheme to their greater abilities. Doesn't happen. Smh. Until the politics is gone from football no black quarterback will be able to succeed in the NFL because bof how the NFL is rigged . Open your eyes people. The NFL is the New WWE. Look at the roughing the passer penalties here lately. Just in primetime everyone see it. People just getting to see it. Nothing new. Most of your great QBs has an outstanding offensive line two numbers one receivers also running game and tight end . They shipped all of Lamar Jackson's true weapons away. Call it a conspiracy. It's just the politics in football. Always will be. There aren't 32 quarterbacks in the league that's better than Cam Newton right now. If Cam is smart enough his Agent need to be trying to get him with the Dolphins. Two stellar Wrs line also a good defense. And running backs . We will see

  • @jackson7201
    @jackson7201 Год назад +2

    With Quarterback's who like to run you have to let them pass and get touchdowns when down in the RedZone, it does wonders for their confidence. It's no different than a great Basketball shooter, who is struggling but then gets an easy layup, now all of a sudden his jump shot starts to go in. The Ravens do a great job with Lamar Jackson doing this, and Carolina did a good job doing this the year cam newton won the MVP, That's why he had like 35 touchdown passes. The patriots did a horrible job with cam newton doing this, all they did is run with him when he was down in the RedZone that's why he only had 11 touchdown passes it killed his confidence. Cam Newton could be an MVP again but needs a system that knows how to use him. I'm telling you let him throw the ball down in the Redzone and get touchdowns and watch his skillset go up by 50 percent at least.

    Cam wore himself out taking a ton of abuse and injuries. When he came up to New England, I was skeptical at first, then he was doing good...till Covid killed his momentum and struggled the rest of the season. But I noticed, when he was QB, the Patriots were a lot more "mobile", compared to Tom Brady who just stays in the Pocket and barely moves and when he's forced to run, it's painful how bad Tom is at running more than like 3 yards.
    But given the mess he walked into with Covid, opt outs and all of it, 7-8 for one season with New England isn't tooo terrible compared to where he had been in Carolina

    I think it was Tepper who said the Panthers never had a real culture of winning. He's kind of right, but the blame needs to be properly placed - it's not with the players. The 2015 team was amazing - don't know what happened in the Super Bowl. They took that exceptional team, and started tearing it apart for the next season, and the next ,and the next... There was never a season where the team felt comfortable in their positions on the team. Someone seemed hell-bent on destroying any chance of the Panthers getting back to the Super Bowl. They've had great players, and Cam was THE greatest, but whoever decides what will happen to the team wasn't interested in success. It was there over and over and over......they kept getting rid of exceptional players. Not much incentive for confident play there.

    Your negative digs sounds like a bias and slanted directed at Black Quarterback!
    Cam hasn’t fallen anywhere and he’s getting better.

    Where are your nasty videos on Brett Favre, Fitzpatrick, Brady’s deflategate Scandal, Edelman’s assault, Gronk’s assault, and so many others.

      I guess you missed his videos on Gronk, Vick, and Mayfield. Where he goes over the shit they did. As you can see clearly nobody's rushing off to sign him. He had a chance with Belichick, he blew it. He had a second stint with the Panthers, he blew it. His arm is shot. He has no power behind it anymore or accuracy. As someone who had to watch him in 2020 he consistently dirted the ball, missed throws. He just isn't there anymore. He can probably be a running back but I doubt he'd want that.

      @@jcore0981 how he don’t have accuracy???? He completed 65 percent of his passes in New England and produced 20td to 10 interceptions. With what I might add was the worst skill players in the league. It wasn’t even close. Then he comes to Carolina with no off season and plays behind the second worst o line in the league with no c mac. It’s ridiculous that nobody is taking this stuff into account. Y??

      @@redboy09100 If he threw 20 tds literally nobody would be complaining. He threw 8 and 3 of them came from week 17. Most of his throws were in the numbers. Almost every time he threw medium to deep it was either A. Going out of bounds B. Hitting the dirt. Or C. Going to a defender. And yes he did have a really bad offense, so what was his excuse in the off season? He had way better playmakers and he still got beat out by a rookie qb. Why hasn't he been signed yet? If he showed any sign of looking good, where's the contract? The Colts chose an elderly Matt Ryan over Newton. The Commanders chose the dude who got dumped by the Colts. The Texans decided to ride with longneck. So clearly no teams have had any interest in looking at him past gadget player.

      @@jcore0981 the decisions made by gms matters not. Their scouting isn’t always the best. These fools thought Sam darnold was good and I was right that he wasn’t. He could’ve easily thrown for more td but he’s such a good runner he ran for 12 which was fantastic. Also let’s make something clear. I’m not saying cam is prime cam. I’m just saying he’s not washed and that getting beat out by a rookie mess is overrated. NewEngland found their qb of the future and they didn’t want any distractions. That’s why they let cam go especially with the COVID vaccine incident. The receivers were the worse In the league and the tight ends might’ve been the worse in league history. You can’t have that personel and just ignore how that would effect a qb. That’s not intellectual honesty and you know it.

    • @jcore0981
      @jcore0981 Год назад

      @k yells The vaccine thing was a reason to dump him. They saw little production he was making in the off season. He had to be taught the playbook by Jones. Also Brady had the same roster and while not good, still put up 4000 yards and 24 tds. Cam didn't even add to 4000 total. And let's be fair. It's hard to be a good receiving core when your qb keeps grounding the ball.

    This channel is pretty solid but it would be way better if you guys stopped showing the same plays over and over. Actually show more plays relevant to the season you are talking about, like most of the time you'll talk about a season from ie 2016 or 2017 but show plays from like 2012 or 2013. Try to be more consistent with that cause I can't not ignore it.
