I am 65 yrs old. The dating pool is very small. Very small.
Having said that, I have been dating a man, who I feel in many ways is the one, for 6 years.........there is zero progression.
In meantime I am continuing and creating my great life!
I am preparing to have the conversation. And whatever the outcome, I'm ok with it.
I'm 63. I'm wondering what it is you want that he's not giving you. A six year relationship is incredible! At your age, is marriage necessary?
@@jamiemumber4079 is marriage necessary at my age? No. Is it wanted? Yes. Is it something we talked about early in dating journey? Yes. Was it discussed later? Yes. And plans/ideas were sort of discussed.
BUT in last year, we are at a stand still.
Let me explain. Older parent starting dementia/Alzheimer's. This has been a reason, or an excuse, to be at a standstill. It's unnecessary imho.
What do I want? Commitment. Solid commitment. A ring or verbal. A plan with a time line.
But most importantly I want to be a priority! Currently I'm too far down the line for my liking.

Amen I'm proud of walking away. Yes, it hurts and still does. But, it was needed for my own peace.
I met someone ❤ special 6 months ago. So far, we're just friends. Time ⏳️ will tell.
This is all completely spot on. I was so exhausted by my mindset that if i tried harder and was all the things a man wanted, i could get a happy ending. And i didn’t. Oh, you’ll get a guy to stay around to soak up the benefits. But you’ll always feel like he’s not there with you, really. And that won’t change by trying harder. Men want you when you expect them to step up and do not take no as an answer. By having peace that it will work out only if he really wants you, and the calmness he brings to your life with that, it makes it so much easier to walk away from the wrong guy. Remember the worry, the heartbreak, how you felt like he never really chose you. And vow that you will not choose pain again, that you deserve happiness. It does mean shifting the mindset. You have to look at men as not who you want, but as who wants you. First and foremost. Then ask yourself how attracted you are and what makes that man good relationship material. If you ask yourself first about wanting him, you’re greatly more likely to chase and end up in heartbreak. When i had enough and learned a lot more about men, i’m finally in a great relationship that i wish i had years ago. The pain i could have saved myself….

I walked away 2 months ago because he ould not lead, he stopped setting up dates and I moved on because I know a man must lead , anyway energy was back at me and a guy asked my number at the gym, you should not stay because your emotions wil be unavailable and men ca pick up on that . I did not have a conversation with him I just left.
It's ok that you moved on but you could have talked to him. Men are not mind readers. That my advice from a happy married woman 😊

Single recently at 35 after a long term relationship. Went on a few dates with a new man. The pressure of dating in your 30s is real. The act of balancing between knowing/going for what you want, and letting things progress organically and healthily without scaring the other away. Women's biological clock really changes dating in 30s. Sometimes it gets to me and I get anxiety worrying into this rabbit hole. This video helped recenter myself

I'm around your same age and I've released my worry about biological clock. I can adopt if I meet the right person, but in general, I don't centre my long-term relationship expectation around children. That's good if this future guy and I both want them and can have them (e.g. my body affords to conceive, give birth, and nurture) but if not then that's alright. Good luck for your relationship journey!

Hi Matt, I hope you, the family, and team are doing fabulous! I am kind of in a girlie conundrum and was wondering if you would be willing to share your perspective on when a man uses the phrase "I am deeply attracted to you" and "I enjoy spending time with you and talking to you." I'm sure I'm in my head and am thinking to much into it as we ladies often do. Deep within, I know men generally say exactly what they mean, but with the "attracted" phrasing that could mean just about anything. The backstory is my man returning after running scared. He's just recently started reaching out to me again and he's said this on several of those occasions when we have spent time together. I guess I'm just feeling scared that he means it only in an only physical sense & will pull away again. If you have a moment, I would love to hear your thoughts and perspective. Please I need your help. I have been in a long distance relationship for 7 months. He gave me a engagement ring after 3 month in to out relationship. HE told everyday he love me an call me his Angel an said he wasn't letting me go..we both are in our 60s. Then I had surgery an he wanted to take care of me and. Now everything has change he is cold to me. We had a argument after by surgery about his finances..an every since he not been the same to me..I gave his ring back in a heated argument. An ask him to take me home .I was at his house after my surgery for 5 days an I ask him to take me home...I love this man but not sure now that he cares about me..was all those sweet words lies? We both was on the same page an only had one argument..we meant each others family's we all got along so well...I really don't know how to solve this problem or just let it Go.? My plans was to move to his house an sale my house when we got married....please advice me...thank you so much..Delores

Mat..totally understandable your fear of things not working with your lady. Watching this video made me think of another 'relationship coach' Matthew Hussey and his pretty public case. He was dating the actress/singer Camilla Cabello and sure..no one really knows the details of their relationship/deal but after seeing them breaking up it kinda made me feel more powerless...."How am I, an ordinary woman, supposed to know how to keep a relationship when even an 'expert' can't hold on to it?"...
It's not that I'm not using my own judgment and rely on these advices only but cases like that just make you wonder...
Isn't matthew hussey already happily married now with another lady? This only means that Camilla Cabello is not the one for him, that's why it doesnt work out. Being a great person & having a great person as a partner doesnt mean that they're right for each other. Thats what happened with matthew & camilla.
You could be an ordinary person, and there is another ordinary person out there for you, but you two are right for each other. When two right persons together, they'll be in a great relationship. Not to be mistaken for not having to work on yourself, and then for each other tho.

It's just my take on it -- but almost always, a man is making the best impression at the very beginning, so if he's already making you feel just like a friend & taken for granted, I recommend seeing other people. It does not sound like he wants to be exclusive with you and you really deserve that! 🥰🥰🥰

I'm in Mat's Manifesting Your Man course and he teaches the importance to being a top priority in your man's life. I have never been a top priority and now I'm learning how to change that. Life situations will always come up - that's just life. You can be someone's top priority without taking him away from his responsibilities. Doing it together is better. Read Project Everlasting and you'll see how many couples faced extreme adversity and still were each other's priority or came to the realization that the most important person was slipping away and made the shift. It's a great book.
