I think there should be a link to the ’shop-website’ under the designs-tab in the app, to make it easy to shop ’the proper way’ without having to remember where to go.
Thanks for the info. Will have to give it a go. Now, if I could only knit faster
Such a cool update! Can't wait for voice commands to come to Android. And thanks for the free pattern!!
I love Knit Companion! I also use it for my crochet patterns and my beading patterns too! It's great.
I love the app. I have the free version and use it all the time. Not just for knitting. I use it for crochet too.
That is awesome! I can't wait until the scribble function comes to android!
Thanks so much for the videos - I've learned so much more about the updates! I've used kc for years on the basic functions for knit & crochet (after all, it's a pattern reader - I don't think it's specifically limited to knitting.... 🤣) but I just upgraded to the paid version and holy smokes it helps soooo much!!!! Thanks for the amazing info!
So all the cool things you demo'd before as IOS only now work on Android (except speech and something else)? That's awesome!
This is awesome! Thank you for the free shawl pattern - it's beautiful! I'll have to reach out to the devs, as I can't link my Rav account for whatever reason. But I love KC so this is an amazing addition!
Hello from Mounds Illinois. My daughter purchased me an IPad because I couldn’t download it on my Samsung tablet.
Wow! I love KC!
Yasss!!! Can't wait!!!
will you be adding this video to the KnitCompanion playlist? I check back on them regularly.
Whoops, I guess I missed that. It's added, thank you!
I'm not seeing the 'Setup' button in the Android version. Is it true that the Magic Markers and other features for charts are only available on the KC patterns please?
Thanks so much, Stacie for letting us all know about KC designs! I have already purchased two patterns as well as your Winter Chill shawl. I might be missing something. As you mentioned everything I set up in the KC style, but what seems to be missing from the charts is the symbol key for the chart details. Unless you have memorized what stitch symbols mean, you aren’t quite sure that a particular symbol is knit through the back loop, etc. am I missing something? Stitch info is available for the written portions, but the symbol do not seem to be. Is there an explanation for this - or they forgot to include it. It’s not on the winter chill chart either. Please advise.
I don't have it open in front of me (I'm in the process of moving right now) but I believe you can find the keys by tapping the symbol in the upper right to pull up the hidden bottom section of the screen.
@@verypinkknits thanks so much and good luck with your move. When you get settled - no rush - I am specifically talking about the chart symbols- not the definition of types of stitches which I can access by pushing the upper right tablet visual. Thanks.
Great video thank you
How cool thanks
I can't seem to get it to load my ravelry patterns like I use to. It just swirls.
You may need to reboot your device, you can contact knitCompanion for help at support@knitcompanion.com.
I like the app. Wish there was one for crocheter..😎
I use it for crochet patterns, as well as for knitting and cross stitch charts. Really, it manages any PDF you want to load.
You can use it for crochet! I also use it for QUILTING patterns!
@@MsBeachLizard this is too good, thank you!
You can pretty much open any pdf with KC. So, if you have a crochet pattern. You can use it! You just may need to tweak it a bit... :)
I'm a little disappointed that Magic Markers only work with kcDesign patterns. It's a step in the right direction, but not quite there... still lagging far behind iOS features.
