Dearest Arne and Carlos: You bring your viewers so much JOY! Can’t wait for a tour of all the renovations! Laundry room and tower sound amazing. I’m in America and would so love to have you as my neighbors. Thank you so much.
You have inspired me so much. I've been watching your videos and you have reminded me to enjoy the things around me. Because of that I have started decorating my front patio, buying new things that bring me joy, and many plants and lighting for a calming atmosphere. I'm enjoying sitting at night in peace out there. In the mornings I'm sipping a drink and reading books again. I've also started crocheting a pillow to go with my new chair. Thank you for your videos and please know you are making a difference in people's lives. Blessings to both of you.
Your Laundry Room sounds awesome!! Even if it is utilitarian!!😂 Arne, why are there Moose in the storage house!! Yes, you must keep everything in plastic boxes, if that is going on! The Log Cabin block can be so much fun. You can play around sooooo much with the arrangement and placement of the blocks. Have fun!!💖
I'm sure your renovations and extentions will be very successful. I have enjoyed this podcast as I was feeling overwhelmed and unhappy. Your voices have a very calming effect. Thank you. My brother and I are good at renovating our homes within a limited budget. We work well together and between us we can do many things. It is more rewarding to create than to buy someone else's creation so even if we were rich I think we would still do things our own particular way. God bless you both from Vera in Northern Ireland ❤❤
I would love to see a tutorial on how you connect crochet squares together, and would realllly love to watch you build the wooden tree. I watched the wooden star episode many times!!😂
The laundry room will be a very practical addition. I have no doubt that with his natural eye for style, Carlos will do a remarkable job with the space . I love the sound of Arne’ s Tower. Sounds very charming with gorgeous vistas all around. A place Arne will surly make his own mark !! Thanks for your company on a dreary Sunday.❤xx
I just enjoy Sit & Knit so much. You two always bring a smile to my face with your humour and adventures. I almost shot coffee out of my nose when Carlos said He was only dressed waist up. LOL Of course then adding sweatpants from waist down a moment later. So funny.
The journal gave me a flashback to growing up in the 60's.. my mom got a magazine called McCalls, and the last page was a paper doll called Betsy McCall. I couldn't wait for mom to finish reading so I could cut Betsy out and attach her to cardboard, and cut out all her clothes! I had a shoebox full 😊
Hiya Carlos and Arne 😊❤, love that Carlos likes the way log cabin is"dark one side and light the other😊😅"! The orignal idea being that the central square represented the fire and the light side beingthe reflections of the fire in the dark room!! You guys have so many projects on the go at once and knit faster than l do,but l do like doing my silk embroidery miniatures for my 2 baby houses- eventually intended for my two granddaughters ❤. I still have cut out paper dolls from my youth! Loving how excited you get and how you integrate various creations to form blended items. Please do some tours as your home gets it's new additions.Do pet your " puppy" and cheers to all here as well as your good selves.Thankyou for your happy episodes😊. Best wishes Julia, J.I.M.K Mrs. Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺 ❤ 😀 🪃
Arne, that old guy with all the stuff will be YOU someday! 😂 I can hear the people now, “you know, the guy at the old train station, he collects everything” but I love it and I’m the same- I love to repurpose and hate to throw things away - lovely episode and I’m going to look at those colors on the Farrow and Ball site!
Lovely to see you both again today. Liked your log cabin very much. I've just made a monochrome log cabin quilt. The traditional way is a red centre square to represent the fire and the light and dark represents the shadows cast by the fire. Happy crafting both. Sian from North Wales 😊
Marvelous to watch you two bounce ideas off each other! I LOVE the Sami artist; wish I could see her work in person. I can hardly wait until I move to Reno and can SAKFAB with you while it snows! ❄️☃️❄️ I want the Christmas fabric and the wood tree too.
I am watching on a Sunday while the wind here whistles loudly outside, too. Your 'Frozen' story reminds me of when - sometime after the original movie release when it became available to stream - my then probably 2-year old grandson suddenly belted out his rendition of 'Let it go' with so much passion the veins in his throat stood out. It was very dramatic. :) To this day, the song brings that memory to mind and a tear to my eye.
Enjoy to listening to both of talking! Very interesting and learning a lot! Thank you both of your guys! Can’t wait to see your guys after adding on new space! Good luck ❤❤❤
A tutorial on joining crochet would be great! I just started crocheting. I thank you for the instruction on Norwegian knitting. I had surgery on my left hand and I am still able to knit with this " new" to me style of knitting. Love the podcast and creative ideas.
Wow you two are incredible artists and make my mind excited about creating lots of new energy. I absolutely love this pod cast such interesting conversation and information. I love the demonstration on joining "granny squares" and the lovely squares using sock yarn. Your shirts are beautiful. I love the idea of using scrap wood to craft scenes. Bless you both, ❤😊
How nice, years ago we bought a white Norwegian forest cat in Årendal. She came to the Netherlands by plane. Her name was Noortje. 😻 Thanks for this podcast, I had a great time knitting on my sock. Greetings Lily🌸
Happy Sunday! I loved hearing about all the remodeling of your home and watching Arne crochet the squares together. I think he crochets as fast as he knits! 😂 Hope you have a wonderful trip and safe travels. ❤️😘✈️
Love all the improvements you’re making to your home. Your new granny square design is nice and if you ever have time for a tutorial on how to join the squares it would be terrific! I just came home from taking a class from you in Los Altos, CA and It was so uplifting and a treat to see you both live. Safe travels!
Oh I would love collecting. I have bits of my grammie's quilt projects. I also hope you do the granny squares connections tutorial please ❤ Have a fun trip!
A wonderful video Arne and Carlos, so much inspiration. Looking forward to seeing the fabric collection. The journal of old magazines that you showed was amazing. Everything that you both discussed and showed is just awe inspiring. Please may we have a tutorial on joining the squares. Take care stay blessed and a wonderful trip to both of you.❤
I would LOVE to see a picture of you knitting when you were a little boy Arne. I bet you had the same expression. And what a treasure! A blanket that you made when you were little. 😊
I like the effect of your joining😂 of the granny squares. I have always just single crocheted the blocks together. I am quilting while I watch you, making grandmother’s n flower garden, using my scraps and my mother’s scraps. All handwork
Loved hearing about Dennis Severs' House in London-- looked it up online. What an interesting and educational thing, along with it being so inspirational! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! 😊 Take care, guys 🩵
Hi guys I always look forward to the sit and knit I like hearing about your daily activities and what you are doing as the year goes on I would like a tutorial on joining crochet square it's always great to have a extra bathroom and storage well have a great trip to London and I will catch you on the next time ❤❤
I only discovered you late in 2023, and enjoy your easy, friendly manner SO MUCH. Today brought me for your Brioche video, then I stayed for Knit for a Bit. Thank you for all you do - so creative and wide ranging. Enjoy your trip.
😂 “No Viking hospitals. They probably just gave them beer or mushrooms.” Silly Arne. So many projects, so little time. But you’re never bored! Great podcast boys.
I was so intently listening to you both that I made a mistake four rows back in the blanket I was crocheting I had to rip four rows out! Ugh You two are too entertaining!
Love your Sit and Knit episodes. I would love you to do a podcast on joining crochet squares. I would love to crochet a blanket and use your technique.
I enjoy hearing your planning for your new spaces. This log cabin piece is perfect. It must have been a joy to see it about your home. Your new fabric collection is stunning. But I bet an old shirt/tie collection would be marvelous, too!
Wonderful to spend some time with you both on a Sunday afternoon. You always have such interesting things to share. Safe travels wherever you’re going.
Carlos, you are a renovation extraordinaire. 😍You took a $10,000 quote for the laundry room (Arne 😊) down to $400 in less than 5 minutes. You both are the best and always inspire/entertain us and add little doses of humor. Thanks!!!
I really enjoy hearing about your multiple projects and the variety of them. It is truly inspiring and getting me motivated to look around my home to see what I can do to improve its functionality.
My friend loves thrifting and bought a number of men’s shirts all in blues (stripes, solids, etc, like what Carlos is wearing) and remade into a beautiful quilt. You inspire us all the time. Amazing the creativity and artistry in so many forms coming from you both!
I was in London in 2019 and visited Spitalfields market: amazing antiques and I bought vintage buttons. I wish I had know about Dennis Severs' house then and Folgate street. I love Georgian architecture (I visited Bath each time I was in England)
I very much enjoyed watching this sit and knit for a bit chat today. You inspire me to get involved in so many creative things. I can't wait to see your fabric collection collaboration with Lewis and Irene. Enjoy your next trip. Take care.
The laundry room sounds great. I am in the process of painting our new house. The previous owners painted everything battleship grey. It is depressing so I am painting the living room and hallway pale green with darker green accents. I painted my studio before everything got here because it was bright turquoise. It overpowered any colour you could imagine. Not conducive to designing. I hope you will do a tour after everything is finished.
I think Carlos should do a Trompe l oeil painting effect on the new laundry room ceiling…he can get inspiration from the London, England restaurante “ Bacchanalia “ , it would be FABULOUS and unique to their home..Arne could install a “ Cupula “ on the roof of his building extension to give him the “ Tower “ effect he would like…😊
I would love to see your wooden Christmas tree. You both have such nice things that you do. Love your show or should I say videos. I am so interested in all the things you do.😊
We live in a 100 year old house that never had any closets so we understand your space/storage concerns. My husband, Arne, Made a few upstairs. We use chests of drawers and buffets and armoire's. The number of rooms make it perfectly fine. We love it!
Lovely episode. Please do make a tutorial showing the crochet joining. Thanks too for recommending the house in Spitalfields. Friends have been raving about it recently so I’ve been keen to go but keep forgetting!
It's always such a pleasure to watch your podcasts and I would love to learn your new ways of joining the crochet squares. Thank you for sharing your your ecclectic hobbies which add so much meaning to creativity and always bring a smile and much joy as i can totally relate to them!

I had breakfast with you this sunny, California morning! I hope your time in Los Altos is going really well. It's fun to see all the things you find beautiful - from architecture to scenery to miniatures.
It’s such fun to watch your creative minds at work! I never get tired of seeing Arne’s expression when he’s been caught saving something from the trash that he has an idea to make something out of, and Carlos’s resignation that of course Arne has done exactly that. I get so amused! And Arne, I love your shirt. Is it new?
Dearest Arne and Carlos: You bring your viewers so much JOY! Can’t wait for a tour of all the renovations! Laundry room and tower sound amazing. I’m in America and would so love to have you as my neighbors. Thank you so much.
You are welcome!

Thanks for your company on a dreary Sunday.❤xx
Carlos I love your description of thrift store finds as "dead lady projects!" So sad that this is true 🤣 (btw I am an old lady)👵
I just enjoy Sit & Knit so much. You two always bring a smile to my face with your humour and adventures. I almost shot coffee out of my nose when Carlos said He was only dressed waist up. LOL Of course then adding sweatpants from waist down a moment later. So funny.
I am convinced Carlos can make a lovely laundry room with lots of creativity at very little cost ! I hope you have great garden tours this year !
I did those too. Always looked forward to the paper dolls in that magazine
My grandmother saved her McCalls magazines for her two granddaughters to cut out Betsy when we visited. Betsy always had seasonal outfits.
😍
My Grandmother saved them for her granddaughters’ too
This is why I love listening to you both. You’re always feeding your creativity. It’s such a wonderful way to live. 🥰
Loved the Sami textile artist at the Bienale! Her work is amazing!
I would love to see the wooden Christmas tree. There's so much inspiration with good ideas in this video. 😮😊

Ooh I love the Reggia Lufooten colour! Definitely picking that next. 💗
Lovely to see you both again today. Liked your log cabin very much. I've just made a monochrome log cabin quilt. The traditional way is a red centre square to represent the fire and the light and dark represents the shadows cast by the fire. Happy crafting both. Sian from North Wales 😊
I used my husband's ties as windows in a Cathedral Window quilt hanging.

I would really like a crochet tutorial on joining the granny squares. As always, you have made this so enjoyable.
Yes please guys, let’s see how the Christmas tree is made. We put our Christmas star up each year and it is fabulous .
Well both on both of you. Interesting. Like your curtains they are lovely. Hope your both well take care.

Using a fabric under the log cabin is called foundation piecing. It will be gorgeous with your new fabric! ❤
👍🏻
A great video as all ways.
I can’t wait to see your fabric!
I've been ill for a while and have missed you! Great to see you again ❤
❤️
Love the ideas for your fabric designs.

Loved listening as I relaxed from working in my vegetable garden. 💕💕
I like to quilt when I listen to you guys
Love to see all of your projects. You guys have so much energy.

Carlos, your pronunciation of Spitalfields is perfect ! Love both of you, you are very inspiring!
Oh❤, you talk about your tower extention…thinking about it…gives me Rapunzel vibes…😊 ❤

I had breakfast with you this sunny, California morning! I hope your time in Los Altos is going really well. It's fun to see all the things you find beautiful - from architecture to scenery to miniatures.
Everything you talk about inspires us! We are so lucky to have you both. Love that Denis Sever’s house! Safe travels.
Is it new?
