Quartz watches need solar charge like Citizen Eco-drive. I don't buy any watch with disposable battery.
The last watch, the Pagani Design is an homage to the Audemar Piguet code 1159. One of if not my favorite watch of all time and my Grail. I just bought the Pagani. Mainly because I don't have 75 thousand dollars to piss away on a watch, Grail or not. The Pagani looks really nice and I'm very much looking forward to its arrival. GREAT VIDEO. 😊

That Watch dives tuna is the pick of the bunch....really nice colour combo.. the Teal bezel insert...which looks almost battleship grey in some light with the PVD casing is very understated ...doesn't scream class..just mutters it in passing. I've just bought an Addiesdive MY-H6 in the sale as I've wanted one for a while but the Watchdives Tuna would probably have seduced me away from it if I'd seen it earlier. cheers another good selection.

The Addies Dive 36mm that I received was making a noise inside. I removed the case back and found the automatic rotor wasn’t screwed on. I fixed it myself and now is working as it should. You never know what you get from AliExpress.
I really like that Pagani these days don't hesitate to do some quite quirky colour versions of for instance their Daytona or Lunar homage versions. Or even a totally steel version of the Moonswatch (considering the price difference, ironically a way better watch than the original..). I own what resembles the Daytona homage version but with the black dial and silver subdials, which few would guess the main inspiration from. And that frosted blue dial one is just another fun addition to this. Great video as usual, keep up the good work.

Love the Pagani as you said will make a nice summer watch with that frost bezel. I either have this one or a version of it still in my list ... Just got the AK project or Mission to Mars so not sure if i will get this version. Yes i've heard that the Corgeut is better but almost always sold out.
Corgeut is definitely NOT better than Pagani. If anything, Corgeut's quality is equal to Pagani's at a higher price

Nice list of watches John. I have the first one, to replace, (silly me), the Mission to Uranus Moonswatch, which was embarrassingly bad, but that's a long story. I'm actually wearing the PD now, even had a nice handmade white leather strap made for it. Looking forward to all the reviews !

Thanks for sharing John. And you raise an interesting point about the different brands and their positioning relative to one another. Have you ever spoken to anyone at the brands? It would be interesting to hear their take on this (and see who is running these watch companies)...
I have not. I am only in contact with Baltany UK and various stores selling Baltany on AliExpress so I have not got an ear to what goes on .
The first Pagani chrono looks good it is even legible for a chrono which is a miracle!

Impressed with Pagani & the Mysterious code ,some serious potential in different dimensions & case perhaps. Man you've been doing some spending fella.

My watch haul for this most recent sale involved three different watches by three different brands. The white dial Pagani PD1701 as a substitute for the newly released white dial Omega Speedmaster but at only 1% of the Omega's cost. The Seiko Sumo Deep Sea homage by Steeldive with an absolutely beautiful deep sea dial with silhouettes of sea creatures on it for $71 as opposed to the Seiko's $800 price tag. And the Tandorio field watch homage to the Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic with Seiko NH35 movement, Sapphire glass, leather strap, and 200M water resistance for only $38!!!

It will be fine. AliExpress watches do not suddenly die. I was very unlucky this time. I have bought nearly two hundred watches on the platform with only a handful of issues :)

You mentioned returning 2 watches recently and I wondered how it was going? Last Wednesday I sent back a Thorn bought in the sale to the UK address, tracked and insured, as it had too few links to remove to fit my small wrist. I had included photos and video with my return request. I had confirmation of delivery from Royal Mail the following day, Thursday 4th but the return request on AliExpress is still showing "in transit to warehouse".
Do you think I should be concerned and if so have you any advice on what I should do.
No don't be worried. AliExpress automatically step in if the return request isn't refunded after a few days from when you returned it :)
Nice video. I also picked up that MC (just before the sale actually... because I'm stupid.) Not my favorite but not far enough down on my list to get rid of. I've been looking to try out a Berny and you may have found it, thanks for that. Your link to the YS-008 is dead but a quick search finds it easily enough on AE. I'll admit I'm something of a fan of PD and have more of their stuff than any other maker. After swearing off watch purchases for a bit (since the sale) I'm going to have to work very hard to hold myself back on that YS-008. Your right it's very similar to the PD-1701 and the PD-1644. So the challenge is balancing the similarities against the differences.
Hi Mark. I always double check my links before and after posting. Just checked and the PD YS008 is still valid at my end. It could be a location restriction.
And if there is any doubt of my lunacy, the YS-008 is already on it's way. Since your link did not work I had to roam and found a seller with it for under $50 US (after AE coins were applied) and couldn't say no...

The tuna looks like it could belong to the street models ( I think that was the name) from Seiko, that's pretty smart.
I wish they would pull out a smaller case, I'm still scared by them although I know everyone says it wears much smaller 😁I don't know like 42-44 maybe. Looks good on you though.

Militado is not a sister brand of Baltany. Militado is associated with Heimdallr, along with Watchdives, Tactical Frog, and probably others. Baltany and Militado have no relationship as companies, and Baltany has a statement about this on their website. Milifortic IS a sister brand of Baltany, along with Scutumette, and others.
The Pagani Design PD-YS008 is an homage of the Audemars Piguet Code 11.59. I have that Pagani with the rose gold and black case with the coffee tapestry dial. Amazing watch, though it does wear quite large due to being so flat backed, and having a relatively massive lug to lug. Still, great looking watch, and a killer deal at the prices you can get them at!

Too bad the Addiesdive was a dud because it looked like it was going to be the star of the show. The last Pagani Design was really a cracking little watch. The black dial really looked good. I didn't care much for the Mystery Code. There was something about the dial that just looked.. flat.. for a lack of a better description. I've often wondered, and perhaps you can clarify, Militado seems to make the same watches as Baltany. I have questioned why there's a substantial price difference when they seem to be the same watches just with a different branding. I know Baltany is an exceptional brand and they charge for the quality so why the cheaper prices for Militado?
It seems I was mistaken about Militado being a sister brand. It looks more like they are bitter rivals and Baltany are trying to distance themselves from them. There is a big difference in quality. Militado are good but Baltany are exceptional and worth the extra :)

You seem to have done slightly better than me. I ordered 11 ,received 9 (so far) 1 has a faux divers bezel (WTF)😱 1 has the bracelet the wrong way round,🤔 1 has a broken strap☹ and one was completely the wrong watch🤬 but so far I have saved myself about £80,000 😎 PS the Pagani Design PD1773 Is to small for me, fancy swapping for the Mysterious code?

The Mysterious Code is hideous, but the others are quite nice. Not sure why the Berny is being referred to as a tank, as it's clearly a homage of a Santos
I am not referring to it as a tank. Berny have called it a Tank so I am making reference to their nomenclature, but I am sure you heard me say it is homaging a famous watch that doesn't need to be introduced :)

That’s a great haul! I think I like the Berny the most amongst these. Shame about the Addiesdive. This is what makes me wary of the PT5000 movement. I think other than Proxima who regulates them, I’m just not 100% sure about them. Looking forward to Part 3! And congrats on getting to 10k so quickly!
