Hiya. She has spells and this last week was tough for her...and for me. It can be difficult to watch your buddy struggle...but we are learning more all the time :)

As you know I've recently been through this and it's so difficult and traumatic to watch your family struggle. I'm thinking of you and the family and praying everything is okay. I have the ET “khaki” and you’re right it’s a banger. I was just looking at the printing in the dial under a loupe and it’s so sharp and clean. Really great watch for the price. Take care of that sweet kitty ❤❤❤

The thinness of the 11.5mm case of the Proxima looks great. I have enjoyed the popularity of the sand dial as well. I don't know if Addiesdive is the original creator of the concept of the sand dial but I do like it.

I have the ML05 sterile version. In my opinion, it's the best homage of the Khaki and it's almost identical - case shape, dimensions, handset, indices. Throw in the VH31 movement and you have superb accuracy. My pick of the bunch, for sure.

Aww, poor Molly. Our cat had a similar issue. Turns out she's allergic to chicken protein so she's on a special diet. I hope Molly is feeling better and getting lots of cuddles.
She certainly is. At least we know what's going on now. These things can be difficult to diagnose.

Onto matters watch, after seeing your vid on explorer homages I pulled the trigger on the wine red Baltany 39mm, making full use of your affiliate code👍, I already have a 36mm proxima ranger homage which I love, it wears a treat, keeps very good time, accurate to approx 4’ish seconds, but being bigger of wrist was looking for something slightly bigger. The Baltany has been on my radar for quite some time, but the polished centre links always put me off, now it’s fully hand brushed no more reason not to, need to fill up some spaces in the watch box while I wait for SM to restock the “aquaterra” homage, like I needed an excuse!!!!

Proxima looks like a decent brand not overly keen on either of the 2 you have but the fit and finish looks really good remind me of San Martin when they first started out
They have an excellent reputation on AliExpress for providing robust , reliable and high quality watches. Their customer service is superb.

They are virtually identical though the E.T. seems smoother.

It is a great watch for that special occasion but I have started from scratch so very the next six months my new collection will be complete...have a couple of pieces on pre-order!...so watch this space :)

I was hoping the Militado 38mm would be equal in quality. Too bad. I was looking forward to Militado releasing a 38mm with a white dial. Perhaps I should just grab the 38mm Hamilton Khaki field mechanical. A little more expensive but....

That's strange. I thought I'd sent a remark saying how militado should up their game, also just got an ET 300m quartz with sapphire, which looks like a smaller skx type design it's worth a look if you're interested 😊😊😊😊😊

Morning John, the burning question for me is how does it stack up against the Addiesdive AD2030, your thoughts would be appreciated.
The AD2030 is a fine budget watch with a sweeping quartz movement. The Proxima's are a huge step up in quality, movements and crystals so it's not really appropriate to compare watches in different leagues.

I just got the enamel white Proxima diver.... all based on your review. Now I'm regretting it, I had no idea a sand dune dial was coming out. I wonder if the white sand or enamel white dial is a better choice. Let me know John!

They are both exceptional and I personally could not separate them in terms of quality. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder I am afraid. You'll just have to trust your gut. You will no doubt be leaning towards one of them 😉
This Ixdao is super pretty. Too bad they ruined it with that dealbreaker caseback.

@@johnswatchjoint I don't like when they put casebacks like Rolex or Omega and not simple grooves that you can open with regular two point opener. There really is no need for that.
But how many times have you had to open an automatic watch case-back? Don't sweat the small stuff 🤗
@@johnswatchjoint I opened almost all of my watches, I like regulating them. 5 spd is my maximum out of the box, but with timegrapher, average daily rate app and some patience even basic nh35 can have 1spd or less.
For me ali watches must have regular casebacks because they are already a bit of a gamble without local service center and warranty. If I get some 10spd or worse, and can't open it, it will be a waste of money on useless broken watch.
Wow. Never had to do that. Just remember you invalidate your warranty but I admire your dedication :)
I personally don't like the letters on the escapement watch, i find it a weird name and don't like the letters, for a military watch I prefer no branding.
