HP ProBook 650 G8 i5 1135G7u 2.40Ghz 16GB RAM 256GB SSD 15.6" FHD Win 11 i found this on ebay for 900AUD with a screen of 1000 nits and 75% NTSC seems a better screen than the one reviewed here. I wonder if its a good deal for a junior software engineer

Is it good in compare with macbook m1 air?

it is completely different machine. macbook air is an iphone with a bigger screen and a keypad, but probook is a pretty powerful PC for all of your need, except playing heavy games

maybe the best choice among laptops, but I prefer to work with screens of 21' at least. it's a bit hard to work when you can see a small amount of code at a time and scroll a lot to reach the row you need. but it's a problem of a screen size, not of this exact laptop.

I would say not since it has lot of proprietary components that don't work in Linux systems
