I just wanted to stay thank you for your videos. My dad had a rusty grinder almost like this. Would send hours as a kid in his workshop sharpening anything I could get my hands on. Really brings back memories. Now it lies hidden away in a cupboard... Would love to restore it one day and display it with pride in my workshop. Thank you for the video! Your work is amazing.

I really love the care and attention you gave to every single part. So much work and it shows that hard work pays off. The end result is so beautiful. Great restoration 👏 👏
Thank you for giving life to this 89 year old bed ridden hand cranked grinder. You gave this grinder a chance. You made it look like it came straight out of the factory fresh out of the oven. Keep on grinding @Cool Again Restoration, lol. This is a message from a fellow subscriber.

Thanks Radek! It was soaked in chloride about 30 minutes but depend how deep you want the etching and depend what temperature it is the chloride solution. I preheated mine at 40 degree
Have been watching through your restorations from the oldest to the newest. This so far has been the best you have done. The result was fantastic. That grinder is now a thing of beauty. Well done.
wonderful restoration! the handle crank looks like it was cast, I've heard that cast iron needs to be pre-heated before it can be safely welded, does this matter for a small object like this where the entire section is heated by the welding or did you pre heat it off screen? I really like that you added a brass core so that you didn't have to remake the wooden handle.
Had a hard time enjoying the rest of video after watching this. Should have spray welded it to build up metal. Then turned it down to right size. Just because it looks good does not mean it was done right. I am being very critical but this is what they do for a job.
Hi @I’m right you’re wrong! Normally yes but depend where that part goes after. In my case, that parts was not damaged if I take it a little of material. I read it what Jamed wrote and he has right. But not in this case. Where needed to remove some material ( I removed to the gear where the handle is attached) for making it smaller and to can add a bush after. I attached the bush to the handle and after that they fit perfectly.

Hi Bob and glad you liked it. 5 minutes ago I talked on what’s app with a subscriber from 🇺🇸 USA . He told me about that sentence . No offence to any wife or women, I love my wife and 5 months ago she gave me a beautiful daughter but here we can make jokes about us.
@@CoolAgainRestoration Congratulations on becoming a Dad! Agree that humor is different from place to place. Looking at how things start, such as why the married man cheated on his wife, or say how did the once loving marriage fail, it seems that it didn’t just happen suddenly but came about over time, lots of small things, little things that didn’t seem to matter. That’s why I made the comment. All the best,Bob
