Hey guys, I hope you will have some fun watching the video. In case you did not know it yet, I am also on Patreon, Instagram, Facebook and I also have a second channel here on RUclips. Amazing, my father used to say “put your nose to the grindstone” when he wanted me to focus on my homework. One of the few tools we didn’t have come to think of it. Keep the videos coming!
Nice job, I enjoy your videos quite a bit, I’ve definitely picked up a few TTPs from you. The copper rivets were an especially nice touch in my opinion on this build. If I may offer up some constructive criticism? You are talented and knowledgeable enough to know how to run a lathe, a mill, tear things down properly etc, up your welding game man! I suggest you get yourself a decent TIG welder, and become proficient with it. There’s a learning curve of course, but you certainly can get it. There are some incredible welding channels here on RUclips, absolute top notch pro welders showing how they get the results they do. For the stuff you do, a TIG setup would add a whole new element to your videos and quality of your restorations. Just a thought.
Thank you mate, appreciate your comment! I would love to have a TIG welder and definitely will get one one day. I was already looking for one 😄 We’ll see, hopefully soon!
Thank you! I think it was originally made with the tap and water reservoir since I found a similar one online. But it seems like it’s pretty rare, since I only found one and never seen one before
@@DrHutOfHandcraft I polish a lot of brass & to keep the age of the piece I take a well used polishing cloth & without adding fresh polish, vigorously buff the brass. This will only bring out the shine & leave behind the scratches and dents that give it it's character.
I know lead is poisonous. But why sandblasting something with lead should be a problem? Do you breathe something out of the sandblaster? I don't know, I'm just asking 😅
Well I have a suction system on the sandblaster but I just don’t want to have lead in the air 😄 You normally wouldn’t breathe it in but just to be safe I remove lead paint with paint stripper and then dispose it at the special waste

Clear coat on a grinder is kind of funny, but it looks nice haha.
Why funny? 😄
Wonderful job! I wonder if it came that top part with the water reservoir or if a previous owner mounted it. Either way it is super cool!
Thank you!

@@DrHutOfHandcraft That's pretty amazing. I have never seen one myself. Hope to find one some day.
I suggested a running welder buddy is more clean the rest excellent hug from Venezuela 🇻🇪🤘👍🏻💯🤗
Or take a welding course 😄😄
Thank you!
Nice restoration. After watching a lot of your videos I'm convinced you have stocks in the company producing bluing fluid 😅
Good one 😂😂 Thank you!
Restaurado Moedor de Manivela 😉
😃
A spring on the lever would be a Nice addition
Good idea!
Nice work! I wish we knew the manufacturer.
Thank you!
One thing I know is that “Metabo” made these. But this one isn’t made by Metabo, because those had the Metabo name plate
Top🎉🎉🎉

There's an old saying.."Those who can't weld, grind"!
😄😄😄 I like this one: A grinder and paint make you the welder you ain’t 😄😄
@@DrHutOfHandcraft perfect!
Excellent work my friend, one question: what liquid do you use to darken the pieces? Thanks. I'm from Venezuela.
Thank you!
The method is called cold bluing, you can buy that stuff online 🙂
تحياتي لك ترميم مذهل

👍👍👍👏👏👏👏

Nice job! Pity you didn't polish the tap to match the gloss paint.
Thank you!
I wanted to keep the antique look, that’s why I didn’t polish it :)

Not sure what kind of filler you used (looked like Bondo), but I suggest trying JB Weld.
Thank you
5:41 this shape looks like a wolf 🐺
😄😄
Nice restoration. One question, why no ferrule on the handle?
Thank you!
No special reason, I just thought ”why not leaving it away once 😄” and I think it looks quite nice
why lead test before sandblasting?
Because lead is poisonous 🙃
@@DrHutOfHandcraft i know but what do you do if the test is positiv?
@@mysticen1594In that case I use paint stripper.
Most of the time I use paint stripper anyway, so I don’t have to sandblast the paint away
@@DrHutOfHandcraft ok thanks for the answer
@@mysticen1594you’re welcome:)
6:58 what ia this welding?😂😂
😂😂

dress the stone and put some finish on the handle!
I put oil on the handle and I will replace the stone :)
You’re really working that sigma grindset!
Don’t get the joke, sorry 😅
You just need to take a few days doing nothing but burning wire!!!!!
Hm? 😄
