Is he really saying that we'll never get an updated Greedo or Nabrun for out cantinas unless these unlock? Surely if the Cantina gets funded with, say, 10K backers, they'll want to offer us figures to populate it? I can't imagine Greedo being off-limits. It almost makes me wish these figures weren't even stretch goals, if the community is being given ultimatums like this. Have I misunderstood? Cheers man!
These three teased figures have been shown (prototypes), so Hasbro have made the tooling for Greedo and co. The tooling is a very expensive part of the process, so it makes sense to me that even if the final tiers don't get unlocked, they will be released on their own cardback later down the line. Because if the tiers don't all get hit, collectors who backed the Cantina would still want to buy them for their own Cantina. Makes sense to me for Hasbro to do them separately down the line if needs be. Given Hasbro however, they may not see it this way. 🤷♂️

My QFNW: Within the next year, do you think we’ll get the Boba reissue with all the proper adjustments, like the card image, moveable range-finder, and chest computer read-out. And if any, what other Bobas would you like to see? I’d also love to see a Mythos Boba, Prototype Boba, All-black Gladiator Boba, ESB Boba etc… and how about an acid/battle damaged boba straight out of the Sarlacc! I think everyone agrees we should be getting a carded Jango with the other jetpack maybe, and the infamous poncho. I know a lot of the community have mando fatigue, but maybe these easy options for Hasbro could boost the profits for new tooling opportunities?

Hey Bossk, qfnw: i think there’ll be a few lessons to take away from the cantina once everything is said and done, but do you think Hasbro should take this as a lesson about spacing out haslabs? I feel like revealing a haslab before a previous haslab has shipped might be too much too fast.
I agree...Haslabs should be every 2 years by license. In the "down" years they can bring out a "small Haslab" like BOBF Throne Room or vehicle. I think the big take away from the Cantina Haslab should be the question of whether having figures that "will/could" be re-released at retail should be used as bonus tiers; asking for an extra 9000 backers in order to get 3 unique pieces of cardboard seems like a foolish decision.

I'm with you, Bossk -- the U-Wing is very near the top of my list for future HasLab wants. There are plenty of others I'd like to see but I must always mention (even though it will probably never happen) that the HasLab I'd most want is The Outrider.
Exactly. I’m not buying what Hasbro is telling us. I fully expect the Tonnikas and Wuher to get rereleased just like they did with Yakface, Mando with a soft cape, Grogu in a pram (but not vac metal), the off world Jawa, Hera, Ezra, Kanan, and Zeb. Come on….there’s no way Hasbro won’t milk those Tonnika sculpts and rerelease. 🤷🏻♂️
It would take a whole lot more than just a simple repaint to properly convert Kithaba to Barada. The only thing you could possibly reuse is the legs, which is probably not the best idea, because of the outdated articulation. However, the arms, torso and head would require an all-new sculpt, because there are so many differences in the characters' outfits. Unless Hasbro wanted to repeat Kenner's mistake of sculpting one Skiff Guard (Barada), but then painting him like a different Skiff Guard (Kithaba - or Barada #2 as he was called back then), which is what we got for the vintage Barada figure. However, the Klatooinian species is one of my favorite alien designs in all of science fiction (not just Star Wars), so I definitely don't want that. I would rather wait a little longer and get an all-new Barada figure instead.

When I see the recent Mandalorian Judge and other figures that have little screen time having been released it surprises me. I watched the video that Hasbro put out with their mock shelf but I wasn't a fan of their display. I've designed a 32.5 by 19.5 inch shelf that I could mount to the wall or potentially remodel into a bookcase. It's going to be a massive space commitment. I'm only doing the base offering, I feel you would have to have a coffee table for the deluxe. P.S: I Hope by some miracle we get the WolfMan! Thank you for your videos! Bossk, does it bother you that you have to buy multiple cantinas to have Wuher at the helm of the bar? I’m hesitant to support this project because I want a full cantina, but I don’t want to open very rare/special cards. I wish they would include one carded and one loose figure per set, it wouldn’t cost them that much and would help give loose collectors a reason to back and not worry about ROI.

For starters, I am super excited to be a backer on the HasLab Cantina, but I'm a little disappointed there is no floor. In the recent HasLab update, they addressed the lack of this feature but I guess I'm not sure why that couldn't provide a modular floor similar to how they did the Tantive IV playset. Curious about your thoughts on that. Regardless, I can't wait to have this in my collection. Great show, as always! Cheers, my friend!

Hey BB, thanks as always for the content 😊 QFNW: I have recently started collecting old 1980s 3.75 figures and beasts then repainting/customising them. The sculpts are often amazing, especially the e.g. Tauntaun or Rancor, but the flat plastic is very underwhelming. As a loose collector, is this sacrilegious in your opinion?
QFNW: Hey Tim picking up on the now cleared up question of whether or not Hasbro will release the figures outside the Cantina later after the Q&A. So I thought I understood that by backing Haslabs, and each figure tier, that we are basically paying for the tooling for each of the new figures. So if that's true, then where did the figures they used in the photo shoot come from? Isn't that from the actual new tooling, that we haven not paid for as of yet? It's not like they are kitbashed figures. So if they have already made a newly tooled mold, then it should be a given that they can release them at a later date...assuming the project funds. I could understand maybe they would not want to produce them if the project failed as they might virtual pegwarm. But either way, the tooling already exists. What are your thoughts? Maybe I misunderstand how tooling works.

Question for next week: with the KOTOR remake confirmed to still be alive and in development, do you think there’s a possibility of seeing an Ebon Hawk and crew Haslab somewhere in the future? I was going to ask a question about the potential for tooling reuse with Cantina aliens like Lak Sivrak and Kabe, but figured this one would be a change of pace from answering yet another Haslab/Return to Tatooine question. Now that the definitive mold for phase 2 clones have come out, what do you think are the chances that we’ll get new clone battalions like the 104th or corasaunt guards. It would also be nice to get helmets with the little thingy that heavy clones have (I don’t know its name lol) and antennas too

Hey BB, QFNW: The recent Count Dooku figure is so good, it has me thinking about vehicles that would go with him. If (dare to dream) they were to make a TVC Count Dooku's Solar Sailor, how do you think they would release it? Would it just be with online retailers, or would it need to be a pulse exclusive? I don't think it'd be big enough for a Haslab, unless maybe they tried to include a way to have it with sails unfurled.
I REALLY hope the cantina HasLab makes it, because i would really like to get it and the Wuher and Tonnika Sisters figures. This is what people have been asking for and i can not believe it didn't hit the mark yet. Okay it might be a bit pricey, but a custom made diorama would be even more expensive. TBH i think crowdfund should stop and we should move onto Made To Order.
Hi Bossk, QFNW. The most recent wave you've reviewed has four of the first 12 Kenner figures in it, with another four pipelined for next year. Star Wars' 50th anniversary is only a few years away. My question is do you expect Hasbro to celebrate that pretty significant anniversary (whereas they've skipped TPM 25th anniversary mostly), and if so, what anniversary themed releases would you like to see the most? Looks like rereleases of the first 12 will have already been done by that point, which would have been my pick
The only part of TVC Kithaba that has any business being used for Barada is the head. Apart from that their costumes are completely different, and Kithaba's a pretty awful sculpt to base any new figures on anyway. If/when Hasbro get to Barada he really needs to be mostly-new, and for all the money they'd save by reusing Kithaba's head they might as well just make a full new figure

Tim! Still time for a QFNW? Here's mine: I feel like TVC might have dodged a bullet as far as Acolyte figures goes. We felt shafted at first, in that same ANDOR way, when Black Series got the full cast and we only got two (now three) characters. But I think we'd have been pretty unhappy at having those coveted new tooling slots filled up by a bunch of dead Jedi who barely lasted a couple of episodes. I'll bet the Black Series versions are going to break Lando's peg warming record by a mile. My question is, what do you foresee for the future of Acolyte figures? Do you think we'll get a Stranger figure? (Love that helmet design, but I think he would have benefited from some sleeves.) Do you think the show will add new cast members to fill in the roster it just wiped out?
They just wanted to do figures for ages and clearly didn't want to do beasts or vehicles, it was only after a lot of requests for these that we got them
The Owen Lars figure that came in a comic 2-pack with Darth Maul is a pretty good update of the character. I just had to change his hair color from brown to dark gray, change his undershirt color from blue to brown and add a bit of a 5-o'clock shadow paint wash to his face. He has a decent likeness, better articulation, and a soft goods robe.
You can see it on my stormtrooper. Or watch my Axe Woves video from a few weeks back. It’s where the opposite card in the case runs against the card and creates a white ring
@@BossksBounty thanks for including my question Tim!, I finally managed to get a couple of Dookus and only one Axe Woves Privateer after many weeks of scouting around for clean cards, also had friends and family checking stores on the other side of town for me, that Axe Woves has been the toughest one ever for me in 12 years of collecting TVC. only missing a few cardbacks in the entire series so going well so far. cheers
I do NOT want the Havoc Maurader as a haslab. It's a cool vehicle, but I prefer a sandcrawler or Tantive IV. I prefer they just make the Bad Batch figures on their own.
I'd still like a Kelnacca figure, but I collect Wookiees like I collect Ewoks. I want them all!

I think we should get a TVC Haslab every year. You don't have to back it, but you can if you like it and have the money.

Would support bringing back battle packs like we used to get. I don't know why they stopped them because they were good sellers.

QFNW: I have recently started collecting old 1980s 3.75 figures and beasts then repainting/customising them. The sculpts are often amazing, especially the e.g. Tauntaun or Rancor, but the flat plastic is very underwhelming. As a loose collector, is this sacrilegious in your opinion?
QFNW: Hey Tim picking up on the now cleared up question of whether or not Hasbro will release the figures outside the Cantina later after the Q&A. So I thought I understood that by backing Haslabs, and each figure tier, that we are basically paying for the tooling for each of the new figures. So if that's true, then where did the figures they used in the photo shoot come from? Isn't that from the actual new tooling, that we haven not paid for as of yet? It's not like they are kitbashed figures. So if they have already made a newly tooled mold, then it should be a given that they can release them at a later date...assuming the project funds. I could understand maybe they would not want to produce them if the project failed as they might virtual pegwarm. But either way, the tooling already exists. What are your thoughts? Maybe I misunderstand how tooling works.
Great episode Bossk! Question for next week: with the KOTOR remake confirmed to still be alive and in development, do you think there’s a possibility of seeing an Ebon Hawk and crew Haslab somewhere in the future? I was going to ask a question about the potential for tooling reuse with Cantina aliens like Lak Sivrak and Kabe, but figured this one would be a change of pace from answering yet another Haslab/Return to Tatooine question. Keep up the great work and thanks for all you do for the community!

Another super episode Bossk. It is a real shame if we don't get Wuher and the Tonnika sisters another way, outside of the Haslab. It'd be nice if we eventually blast through all the tiers, Hasbro decide to give us them loose! (Wishful thinking!)

Hey bossk great video as usual. I have 2 questions for next week. 1. With Star Wars hunters coming out in America quite recently, do you think that Hasbro will create characters from the game under the gaming greats title? 2. Now that the definitive mold for phase 2 clones have come out, what do you think are the chances that we’ll get new clone battalions like the 104th or corasaunt guards. It would also be nice to get helmets with the little thingy that heavy clones have (I don’t know its name lol) and antennas too
on the hasbro livestream, didn't they say that the tonnikas would only be released on these cards, with this playset, meaning they could possibly be released later on other cards?
QFNW: I open my figures very carefully to keep the boxes. But i'm at a point where i'm like why am i doing this. With the ghost coming and the cantina that's again more large boxes to keep with nothing in it. Do you keep opened boxes/carded figures? I'm not buying to resell. But in my mind it's cool to keep the boxes...

Would you want this figure to be reused to give us an ROTJ Mon Mothma and also what do you think of getting a stun blast effect in TVC? There’s so many medias that the stun blast is used, first ever used on Leia in Star Wars ANH. It’s appeared in Clone Wars, Bad Batch, and now the acolyte. What do you think?
Hey BB, QFNW: The recent Count Dooku figure is so good, it has me thinking about vehicles that would go with him. If (dare to dream) they were to make a TVC Count Dooku's Solar Sailor, how do you think they would release it? Would it just be with online retailers, or would it need to be a pulse exclusive? I don't think it'd be big enough for a Haslab, unless maybe they tried to include a way to have it with sails unfurled.

I REALLY hope the cantina HasLab makes it, because i would really like to get it and the Wuher and Tonnika Sisters figures. This is what people have been asking for and i can not believe it didn't hit the mark yet. Okay it might be a bit pricey, but a custom made diorama would be even more expensive. TBH i think crowdfund should stop and we should move onto Made To Order.

Hi Bossk, QFNW. The most recent wave you've reviewed has four of the first 12 Kenner figures in it, with another four pipelined for next year. Star Wars' 50th anniversary is only a few years away. My question is do you expect Hasbro to celebrate that pretty significant anniversary (whereas they've skipped TPM 25th anniversary mostly), and if so, what anniversary themed releases would you like to see the most? Looks like rereleases of the first 12 will have already been done by that point, which would have been my pick
The only part of TVC Kithaba that has any business being used for Barada is the head. Apart from that their costumes are completely different, and Kithaba's a pretty awful sculpt to base any new figures on anyway. If/when Hasbro get to Barada he really needs to be mostly-new, and for all the money they'd save by reusing Kithaba's head they might as well just make a full new figure

Thanks for another great episode 👏👍😃 do you think we could get a General Thrawn in TVC like the six inch black series Asoka Type ,on his own card with Asoka title as you can already get Thrawn on a Rebels card back so all they would have to do in fact is just a more realistic head to swap as I don't like the look of the cartoony Rebels one?? Would also be good if we could get Captain Enoch or a night trooper on their own card backs??🤞🤞🤞 keep up the good work 😊👍

Tim! Still time for a QFNW? Here's mine: I feel like TVC might have dodged a bullet as far as Acolyte figures goes. We felt shafted at first, in that same ANDOR way, when Black Series got the full cast and we only got two (now three) characters. But I think we'd have been pretty unhappy at having those coveted new tooling slots filled up by a bunch of dead Jedi who barely lasted a couple of episodes. I'll bet the Black Series versions are going to break Lando's peg warming record by a mile. My question is, what do you foresee for the future of Acolyte figures? Do you think we'll get a Stranger figure? (Love that helmet design, but I think he would have benefited from some sleeves.) Do you think the show will add new cast members to fill in the roster it just wiped out?

Why do you think it took Hasbro so long to get around to the Blurrg? Do you think it will have other releases besides the pipelined one with Mando?
They just wanted to do figures for ages and clearly didn't want to do beasts or vehicles, it was only after a lot of requests for these that we got them

The Owen Lars figure that came in a comic 2-pack with Darth Maul is a pretty good update of the character. I just had to change his hair color from brown to dark gray, change his undershirt color from blue to brown and add a bit of a 5-o'clock shadow paint wash to his face. He has a decent likeness, better articulation, and a soft goods robe.
The darth maul that comes with that comic is really cool too. He's got long horns unlike the clone wars version they released

You can see it on my stormtrooper. Or watch my Axe Woves video from a few weeks back. It’s where the opposite card in the case runs against the card and creates a white ring
@@BossksBounty thanks for including my question Tim!, I finally managed to get a couple of Dookus and only one Axe Woves Privateer after many weeks of scouting around for clean cards, also had friends and family checking stores on the other side of town for me, that Axe Woves has been the toughest one ever for me in 12 years of collecting TVC. only missing a few cardbacks in the entire series so going well so far. cheers
I do NOT want the Havoc Maurader as a haslab. It's a cool vehicle, but I prefer a sandcrawler or Tantive IV. I prefer they just make the Bad Batch figures on their own.
