Yellow, you said in the vid that they were used by more or less security and intelligence personnel. The yellow mainly meant the bind between good and evil they were the thing that separated the good and the bad. Those with yellow crystals were often those who had a strong connection with the force who could solve problems without using force but were not afraid to fight and kill when needed. They were seen as the defenders of peace and Justice for the Jedi and Sith.

I read somewhere that white lightsabers resembled a stance of neither light or dark. A force user in the middle but disconnect from both sides. I also love the idea of orange being a sith user who has light points of view. Like an opposite of purple. So cool imo

    • @jout738
      @jout738 10 месяцев назад +10

Dosent sith only use red lightsabers. I have seen pictures about young orange lightsaber padawans being raised through the jedi order. I have seen that orange lightsaber user dosent have stand in any side and dosent simply care about the good vs evil conflict, when rather mind his own business independntly, so thats why they are so hard to see in conflict or duel, because they rather spend time in the outer worlds minding their own business and will fight anybody who comes infront of their own business. Sith or jedi it dosent really matter for orange lightsaber user. White lightsaber on other hand is created by returning the cyber crystal from dark side of the force to light side of the force and so white lightsaber user is still excited to fight against the sith, like you see with Ashoka how she wanted to fight against Vader, so thats how white lightsaber user is not in the middle, when its fully in the lightside, when its peacful kind of color. Orange on other hand is between red and yellow color, so orange lightsabet user isent fully evil, but dosent care about fighting for good, when does not view republic as that good, when did nothing to stop slavery from the hutt space. Purple color on other hand is between red and blue color, so its user never really went to the dark side, when could control his anger and stay in lightside to fight against darkside. Orange lightsaber user is in the true middle ground, when dosent care about the conflict between good and bad and so you rarely see anybody using orange lightsaber, so its difficult to people name any orange lightsaber users, when many dont know or have not seen much any of them at all.

    • @jout738
      @jout738 10 месяцев назад +4

In the sith order there is no light points of view, because you either are sith or you are not. The sith padawans are raised through torture they need to be able to handle to become true sith, when the weak are simply kicked out of the sith order. The sith are known to only use red lightsaber and so nobody of them have any stupid light points of view, when they would be killed immediately, if they had any light points of view. Thats why there is no orange lightsaber users in the sith, when they all use red in their way of letting the strong kill the weak during the sith training. Orange lightsaber users for that reason are only raised through the jedi order, when there is pictures about young jedi padawans with orange lightsabers. After learning the basics of the jedi teachings. Orange lightsaber user will move out to mind his own business, because he simply dosent care about the ongoing good vs evil conflict. He still got use with his lightsaber, if somebody threathens to kill him in the outer worlds.

Cyan was made canon because it was the original colour of th Younglingslayer 9000 in Episode 4. It was meant to be blue but the fans loved the original one. I love how, with the addition of so much lore, Tenel Ka's turquoise lightsaber from the novels still has valid meaning. She tried to purify her resolve as a Jedi student by creating one that emphasized her warrior heritage on her mother's side, and got a grey-white (read false purification) lightsaber that blew up on her. In the end, it took accepting her father's side as politicians, using cunning and wisdom rather than strength to accomplish good, in order to create a lightsaber representing both sides of herself. The warrior (blue) and the wisewoman (green) were brought together to make turquoise.

Blue - Jedi Guardian. A Jedi who often focuses slightly more on lightsaber combat than force abilities
Green - Jedi Consular. A Jedi who often focuses slightly more on force abilities than lightsaber combat
Red - Traditional Sith. While some Jedi have been known to use red sabers, red usually represents the dark side and the sith, the colour gained naturally or via bleeding a crystal by using hate and rage.
Purple - Jedi Warrior. A colour used by Jedi and Sith alike, purple denotes strength and a balance between light and dark, finding a common ground between them.
Yelllow - Jedi Sentinel. Notably used by Jedi Temple Guards, yellow is a sign of espionage, knowledge and secrecy.
Orange - Jedi Diplomat. Orange can mean a few things. Naturally, it shows an efficiency in force sensitivity with a light and dark balance, often attributed to Grey Jedi. Orange can also be obtained by half purifying a red crystal or half bleeding a crystal.
White - Outcast. White does not have a meaning since it is a colour obtained by purifying a red, hate-filled crystal with the light side of the force.

Plus, the idea of the Jedi Sentinel sounds really interesting, despite not knowing or seeing much of it in cannon or legends. But knowing that there's a third class of Jedi that can learn a variety of skills other than the force and live amongst the populous in the galaxy sounds exactly what Jedi needed. Even if it means taking a huge risk of falling to the Darkside and likely forming questionable attachments. A Jedi Sentinel sounds like the right class of jedi for me to be part of.

From what I have seen in Legends, Sentinels before the Saga of Anakin, were Sith hunters and specialized in resisting Dark Force abilities and were just made to be Temple Guardians due to the fact that the Sith have *ahem* disappeared. So in short, Sentinels were assassins who hunted Sith and Rogue Jedi/Dark Jedi.

Another thing is that green sabers were wielded by Jedi with a strong connection to the force, and who focused on the force in their combat. Blue sabers are a representation of a wielders ability to actually duel with their lightsaber, rather than their force abilities. This is why anakin used a blue saber rather than green, and many people believe this is (lore wise) why Luke built a new saber out of a green kyber crystal, because he now (knowing this information) focused on his ability to connect with the force, rather than his ability to actually duel.

I used to believe that orange lightsabers were used by Jedi who relied on their physical attributes in battle rather than using any form of the force. Take someone, like Cal Kestis, who can roll over and around their enemies, dodge attacks with ease, and are able to effectively move and climb with fighting or deflecting attacks. Orange is for someone who is centered to themselves and while embraces the force in many aspects, relies on their own physical capabilities to fight. Another point that I created is how the force can be used to enhance someone's physical capabilities for a brief period of time. When I first played Fallen Order, I thought it was cool how Cal was able to run across walls for a brief period of time, and I imagined that he used the force to keep himself up. Or how easily he is able to climb around any terrain without getting weary or tired. Orange lightsaber users may use the force to enhance their physical capabilities to make themselves briefly stronger and more agile, as we see with force jumps.
This was my personal belief before I found out about stronger theories or confirmed meanings about the Orange lightsaber, but I still like to believe that orange is the color for Cal Kestis because of the things I've mentioned.

Problem is, it's canonically blue, not orange.
It's fine to have our own headcanons, especially since everyone likes unique colours and meanings, but in the actual lore it's usually much simpler like Lucas said. Good guys get blue or green lightsabers, bad guys red.
New colours are reserved for very special meanings, especially after both Jedi and Sith disappeared (that's the meaning of Tey's yellow saber, Ahsoka's white sabers and the new orange sabers).
Canonically, you don't get new colors just by having a different style or personality. That's in old legends. Instead you pick a color depending on the crystal you found and the values you want your saber to represent.

Spoiler, it didn't really. They are clearly not Siths and their goals seem original, but we still don't really know what they are. They both use the dark side. Maybe they have tainted lightsabers but they didn't intentionally modified the crystals. Maybe it what happens when force users naturally use both sides of the Force without really caring about it. Baylan for instance generally acts like a Jedi (he shows little anger), but he'll still murder anyone standing on his way.
Purple could be intentionally keeping the balance between light and dark, while orange would be akin to a "wild" usage of the Force, considering that both Jedi and Sith ideologies were wrong or obsolete (there's just "the Force").

I used the cyan color the most in both the jedi games. Magenta in ng+ for Fallen Order. I really like those two colors because of their relationship with RGB and CMY.
Blue & Green light make Cyan, Red & Blue light make Magenta and Red & Green light make yellow. That’s what makes RGB primary colors and CMY secondary colors. And a darker Cyan would just be Teal; another color I really like. Depending on the lighting the Jedi games, you see more of the green in the Cyan Lightsaber pop out, like when you’re on planet Jehda.
Lastly, Cyan was the color lightsaber that T0-B1 had in his episode of Star Wars Visions, my favorite episode.

Orange is a colour I’m glad to see in canon but only the creativity aspect matches me, whereas both blue and green both have many points that match with me personally. Perhaps my lightsaber would contain two kyber crystals (like some Jedi such as Ki-Adi Mundi and Agen Kolar) or I simply have two lightsabers, one with a blue kyber crystal and the other with a green one.

I have always viewed the force as way of life, not a means to an end as the sith would use it - or the more aggressive approach as the Jedi guardians use it.
Jedi councilors as Yoda says “Jedi use the force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.” And that’s always resonated with me.
And I really like the lore and portrayal of Qui-Gon Jinn as a Jedi master, and I believe his deep understanding of the force would be my preferred method of learning if I was to choose him as a master.

I tend to hear a lot of debate over Cal’s lightsaber color, but I tend to think that either his color fluctuates, representing his state of mind or thought process, or that it’s orange, something caused by his 5 year stay on Bracca and age. I feel like most Jedi would focus on the color of their blade and determine their style and future based on that, but getting a new crystal and it being a different color can truly represent someone.

Probably not a popular opinion, but the colors correlate with the “tree of life” of Kabbalah.
The tree is represented by three pillars, The pillar of severity, pillar of mildness and the pillar of mercy. Planets Saturn/Mars/Mercury reside on the pillar of severity and are symbolically Black/Red/Orange. The sun and moon are in the middle pillar of mildness and colors Yellow and Purple. The pillar of Mercy has Jupiter and Venus, which are Blue and Green. Star Wars seems to follow this pattern as well as many comic book characters as they are 8:29 typically derivatives of the ancient gods (now super heroes).
For example purple- the moon turns dark and light, in ancient myths Diana the Huntress/Archer. In modern Hawkeye. The legacy of these ancient systems still carry on today.

The author asked readers what their crazy lightsaber colour would be, and I said a blacklight saber. Nothing as simppe as the Darksaber, which is just black and white, but a saber whose blade is black and purple verging into ultraviolet.
Yeah, I know, it's silly, but that matches the humour fic I came up with it to comment to. For a more serious answer, going on the associations, probably green because I'd probably veer more on the mental side.

Honestly when I play star wars games like KOTOR 1 & 2, swtor (mmorpg), or jedi outcast, etc... i always end up choosing purple; regardless of force alignment.
After your video however; I do think it would be interesting to duel wield lightsabers. Left hand for white/silver, and right for red. I normally end up with purple because there's no telling what I might do in such games, but the way i'm picturing it is: main hand (red) for offense/resolute even unto death; offhand (white/silver) being that of defense/reflection/parry.
Honestly it would be interesting to get a star wars rpg game as in depth as KOTOR 1&2, and to have a dual combat system. What I mean here is being able to control both sabers independent of each other. For example: thugs attacking a refugee... (A) Kill the thugs (B) Display your strength by blocking everything they throw at you. While I enjoy and love the games out now... I've yet to see one where you're not forced to fight 80% of the time. I mean imagine a sith lord #Vader, going on a rampage; force alignment aside; most remarks are that sith and jedi are the same exact thing to the commoners. Yet picture if you will a lone jedi engaging a horde of enemies, but doesn't kill anybody; instead bolts are deflected, explosives force repelled and used to sabotage war machines. Now that's a game I would truly interested in seeing. Idk I'm a star wars rpg lover, but having choices of "outright murder" or "self-defense" have gotten stale. I'm rambling sorry guys; tend to do that when I deep think lol.
