      24 to 105 Sony…
      24 70 Sigma Dgdn Art is a great sharp lens but it is too sharp for videography and no OSS.
      Definitely I have found that OSS lens is required for a good days work.

      @@Flaremax Yeah, I also use the 24 - 105. Great versatile lens. I was just wondering does your 24-105 also seem to suck little bits of dirt and dust in it? 2:19 - For my fellow Canon shooters - Canon’s APS-C is slightly smaller than Sony/Nikon so our conversion factor for focal length is 1.62 instead of 1.5, which makes the 50mm into an 81mm and the 35mm into a 57mm.

    My most used lens on my Canon R6 Mark II is the Sigma Art 50mm 1.4! It's just as sharp as the Canon RF 50 1.2, and it costs 3x less! Also, the Sigma is lighter (even with the RF adapter) and focuses twice as fast as the Canon. AND, in Canada the Sigma lenses come with 7 year warranties vs only 1 year for the Canons.

Because 35mm is more versatile, 1.8 aperture is always better that 2.8, it’s got stabilization and macro capabilities. So I own a Sony 6400 For the longest time I had only the stock zoom lens that comes with it. A 18-135mm f3.5-5.6. And shooting with it was fun and all but it really didnt feel so good. So I bought a Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens. Since I am on an APSC sensor, I figured that this gets closer to a nifty fifty than an actual nifty fifty as 30*1.5=45mm in the full frame world. But with a fixed lens I felt limited during travel since I love to take images while in moving vehicles. Some of my best images were shot on the train. So zooming is kinda important to me.
    My next plan is to go out and buy the Tamron Camera Lens, 70-180 mm F/2.8 Di III VXD and/or the Tamron A036SF 28-75 mm F/2.8 Di III RXD Auto Focus but I am still unsure if they are the best fit. All I know is that I am exited for the fixed aperture.
    Also i am planning on upgrading my camera to a Alpha 7 MK4 or whatever will be the newest when I am buying. But I thought The lens will make a larger upgrade for me now.

      I've only been doing photography for a year now but I'd recommend a 24-105 f4. I know primes are good and make you think differently but beginners aren't going to want to do photography as much if they're severely limited like with a prime, that's why I would say a versatile lens with lots of range is best. If you want something faster but has less range then get a 24-70 f2.8 or something similar. Also, it depends what kind of photography you do and your budget. I do landscape mostly so I don't need a fast lens, I'd say fast lenses are only needed for portrait, video, or if you shoot low light a lot.

    My setup is Canon EOS 600D, and Samyang VDSLR 85mm T1.5 both secondhand. Does not need good high ISO performance, I simply blast that sensor with lights 😂

    What filter is that?

    @1ilrx Год назад +1

    I use a Sony a7ii and my favourite lens is the 24-105 F4. It was well worth buying it for just 300 euros (very tiny scratch on front element and some dust inside but not visible on photos). Very versatile for some wide shots and 105mm is enough zoom for almost all situations.

    just bite the bullet and buy a 24-105 f4 for a FF as a beginner. it's an everyday carry and most versatile. it will stay with you for a long time no matter what type photography you eventually specialize in and it will also retain it's value if you decide to sell it.
