I loved how the bus stopped so you could get a good look at the bear! That was a lovely touch on the way to ride Anakeesta's Hellbender Mountain Coaster.

Anakeesta is such a beautiful addition to Gatlinburg. Our last visit was just a few weeks ago and it was a glorious, sunny day. I love seeing the bears mingling around through all the excitement. We missed that. Thank you for taking us along on your visit.

Hi, we're from Scotland and came over to the smoky mountain area a few weeks ago. We love your videos, and you've showed us some great places and fun things to do. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to do many of the things we wanted to. But we still done a lot! We've been to the States many, many times but our first trip to pigeon forge and area. SO.....we're coming back next year! Yay! We were disappointed we never seen you doing your blogs - you seem to be everywhere! Perhaps next time! Oh, we actually did go to anakeesta and also astra lumina. It was amazing. The first one was the best as it looked like a UFO!
We rode this 4 years ago and it too short.Also didn't like that the ride started the way it did.
This ride would be really awesome and somewhat spooky at night. The views on this ride are absolutely incredible. The beautiful woods that you ride throughout the coaster is amazing. This is more of a scenic ride than a 🎢🎢rollercoaster🎢🎢, but that's not taking anything away from this ride. The views are worth it 1000%!

Thanks for the great video of the Anakeesta Hellbender Mountain Coaster. Last week, my husband and I took the chairlift. We saw 2 cubs in a tree on the way up and 2 larger bears near the construction dumpster!

I still have struggles feeling trapped, I tried riding the gondola on the way up to Anakeesta last time and realized I do better with the open vehicle. God is good, I am thankful for getting better!
@@AdventureIsOutThere I totally understand that feeling. Cleithrophobia is the scientific name for the fear of being trapped and it used to be quite the hurdle for me riding coasters etc too. Keep up the great videos 👍

I hope to ride the Anakeesta Hellbender Mountain Coaster some day. Maybe next time I am there. I have never been to Anakeesta yet. I loved seeing tbe bears and the view from up there was incredible! Absolutely beautiful! What a great adventure!! There are alotbof adventures out there and alot more adventures to be had.

Annakeesta hellbender MTN coaster......looks like a great curvy coaster. First I would love to see the bears, 2nd then do the coaster! Was so cool seeing them around the construction equipment up top!

We went to the Smokies in 2021 and visited Anakeesta. We took the chair lift up and on the way back down we took the truck. Good thing we did because the chair stopped working. It was down for a long time, people were stuck on it.
If you watch any of our Anakeesta videos you would notice we always take the rambler (truck). People love the chairlift, but we like to be able to simply walk of the truck if it ever broke down for a period of time!
I cannot wait to ride anakeesta hellbender mountain coaster. It looks like alot of fun and the views are amazing.

Going on thanksgiving ❤ would love to try this. Taking my son for the 1st time since his granddaddy's early departure from us 😢RIP DADDY/Grandaddy- this was a special place he took his BFF (my son). We haven't been since he passed away. Thanksgiving won't be the same as our family is now broken. Sooo since there's no Turkey dinner for us, I decided to remember my dad by taking my son up there. We were there last week. Hellbender was down for 3 hours, so went on the other one twice. We did see a bear in the dumpster down below Hellbender though!! Very exciting!!

Neat never been on one of these and the scenery is spectacular. Back in the day we had something that was sort of the ancestor of this, it was this fiberglass track you rode down the face of a ski slope on, riding this little wheeled sled. You could slow it down by retracting the wheels or raising them to speed up. The track basically a shallow culvert kind of thing, it was very easy to fly up and over the side of it or flip over. It was really rocky and there weren't hay bales netting. The ride was called the alpine slide, the park was called Action Park, nicknamed traction park bc of all the injuries ( there is a documentary about it in you tube i think the guy running it was quite the con man). Today the park is called mountain creek and is totally different,the alpine slide and other dangerous attractions were removed decades ago.

We began visiting Gatlinburg in 1989 and continued going regularly for the next 25 years. Our last visit was in 2021 and prices for everything are past ridiculous now. What was a affordable vacation for working class people has become no different cost wise, than a trip to Disney World.
1. Inflation
2. We are WDW passholders & go often. A trip here can be much cheaper than WDW.
Watching these kinds of rides make me think of when I played WoW and the flight paths that sometimes zipped through the trees. Seeing bears would be cool but I'd be afraid one would charge toward the tram. Or are they so used to people that they don't feel threatened? Great video and thank you for including information signs!
