Your videos are second to none. I have enjoyed watching and not only learning about the Gatlinburg area, but also getting to see a beautiful wonderful family enjoy their time together in such amazing place. Thank you all so much for allowing us a sneak peek into all there is to do in Anakeesta. You have a big fan here in PA.
We hope this tour of Anakeesta Gatlinburg is helpful for those trying to decide how long you would spend here or just want to see what's new! Excellent video as always. The wife and I have only been coming to the area for 2 years and Anakeesta is one of our favorites. We bought a season pass last year despite only be there for two weeks. Love the lift, the view, the gardens, the tower and especially loved Astra Lumina. It gives you a nice break from the garbage shops, candy shops, and wineries on the strip. We could sit in those rocking chairs for hours.
With great weather this place looks amazing. Haven't been in 3 years. Been waiting for additions to finish but looks like it will be a place of continued growth.
@@giovannarosario6296 we did not get tickets in advance but I would advise it! It’s a long line! It’s best to get there during the week when they first open.
Thanks for the full and complete tour of Anakeesta. That is a place I have not been yet and it was great to see what all is up there. Ryan you are the adventurous one. I was laughing at you climbing up to the top of the owls house. One of these times when I am down there again we have to go there, it looks like alot of fun. Thanks for another entertaining and informative video.
I wouldn’t say nothing is included. You ride a chairlift, have live entertainment, playgrounds, treetop skywalk, climb a tower to the highest point in gatlinburg.
I don’t think $34 is expensive for a ski lift which is an experience in its own when you factor in the beautiful scenic ride and views when you arrive . Do you shop at dollar general for dinner
@@AdventureIsOutThere sure will. If I would of seen you guys, I definitely would have lol. It was probably busy that day. Haha. Or steady. You guys are awesome. I've been here since almost the beginning. 😊
Anakeesta is getting better and better. I remember when it first opened and you were showing the place. Not much at all back then. I remember commenting that I didn't feel it was worth it back then. But I have waited and watched all your vids about the place and now I am quite impressed. We will definitely add it to our list of things to do on future trips up there.
@@AdventureIsOutThere They really have. Anakeesta is certainly on our list and also Skyland Ranch. That place has also grown in such a short amount of time. Also on my list to go to.
Ryan, you always do such great, detailed videos. My wife and I moved here to Knoxville/Maryville just 6 months ago after I retired. I've enjoy watching your videos and learning about what's available in the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. We plan to visit that side of the mountains in the near future, although we've been there a few times over the last 20 years when we visited relatives in this area. I spent 48 years in TV and video production before retiring and I can say, the quality of your video work is very professional. I assume you own a drone(?). If so, I am a certified drone pilot and if you ever need some flying done for one of your videos, so you can concentrate on ground level video, let me know. I'd be happy to help. Keep up the good work!
Welcome to the area! I don't have a drone, I use stock footage that places like anakeesta provide for me if it's available. I can't fly in the national park and I just haven't taken the time to get my license, but perhaps will someday! Thanks for the kind words & encouragement!
Soooo pretty!!!!! Im coming up in august and as bad as i want to zipline and mountn coaster is my dream this is way way too expensive😢😢😢 entrance price should include everything
Never been to Anakeesta but would love to visit. Looks so pretty. Thank you for sharing this video. Side note: learned from this video that I've been pronouncing Mt. LeConte wrong for YEARS 😂
This was the only thing we planned on doing & did not do on our fall trip….with Viv’s limitations it was not a good choice for us but we did the other 2 lifts & enjoyed the lights at night very much; most especially Skypark in Pigeon Forge. Actually it was your video that took us there!! It was a trip to remember☺️. Be well🙏🏻.
It’s 35-40.00 depending on where u buy We were just there family of 4 140.00 just to get up there . Once up there there is extremely overpriced / underwhelming food a short tree top walk, a small tower with nice views and a pretty impressive kid area . Then for a family of 4 to ride the mountain coasters (the whole 2 for 17.00 deal) is another 70.00 and the coasters are extremely short compared to the ones below . So basically both coasters combined still are a shorter experience than most of the others ….not to mention rail one is only 230 pounds or less total weight….so essentially most men will be riding hellbender only especially with thier son or daughter. Add in Astra lumina….another 65.00 for a family of 4 to experience and the real kicker is the loading area was crowded so they didn’t check tickets and many were walking in as a free experience whether they realized or not . Family of 4 after tickets to get up, food, drink , coaster and Astral spent about 350.00 for 5 hours of mainly walking and looking at kids playing Never again ! Rip off
We wanted to go there the Saturday afternoon after Thanksgiving. We advanced-bought 6 adult and 2 kid tickets. Got there about 4:30 to find a 2.5 hour wait to go up as well as a 2.5 hour wait to come back down. Ate the tickets. Our fault for not realizing what a draw this place was.
Bummer, sorry to hear you got stuck waiting to go up and back down. We will go on weekdays and are able to go straight up with no wait. Saturdays/Holidays can be VERY busy!
Thanks Chris! That really can vary on the person and what they want to do up top. You could go for just a few hours or go and hang out all day. We just wanted to do an overview to help people decide how long they would spend.
Hi again Ryan and Brie... This looks like a lot of fun. The waterfalls are gorgeous, but those bridges are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too shaky. And the rides are so accommodating for families. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a fun evening Surie
Heading out there for an adventure! When do you suggest getting there if we plan on doing Astra Lumina. Want to do everything but don't want to be tired and worn out waiting for nightfall. Great Video! Thanx!!
I guess it ultimately depends on what all you want to do before astra lumina. We tried to show all the areas of Anakeesta so I would just give yourself at least 2-3 hours before your Astra Lumina time to walk around everywhere. Thanks!
We want to do everything AND maximize our time in Gatlinburg. We already checked out quite a few of your videos to plan our week! Lots to do!! Thanx and again and great vids!!@@AdventureIsOutThere
Hmm. I wasn't sure on this, even though I would love to do Astra Lumina (which I suppose is why they don't price it separately). But it seems awfully expensive to go up and sit and eat and drink and see gardens. The kids stuff looks really fun, but we don't have kids. It's not something I want to spend a day or even half a day on, I'd rather be in the national park, or at Dollywood. The coaster looks fun, but I think I'd rather do the new mine themed one with the cute bears. It does look nicely done though.
Been to Anakeesta a few times over the last couple years and nothing has changed but the price. Anything new are extra fees. Won't go again alone with the Skybridge
We brought a family member up in wheel chair for a ride on the enclosed gondola and he was able to get around up top with no issues. They don't provide wheelchairs, but if you brought your own, their Gondola cabins are 32″ wide and 49″ deep to accommodate both wheelchairs and strollers for your ride to the summit.

Do they still have the sluce mining for arrowheads
Yes, they still have a gem mine area.
Not bad pricing at the bbq place, one slider, a side, a sweet and a drink for 8 bucks, plenty of food for me.

If someone is coming into Gatlinburg to just do Anakeesta, where would you recommend for them to park? Is there designated parking at Anakeesta?
$10 city parking garage (there are 2 close by). Otherwise it’s $20 on site.
