Of course I’ll suggest this since I’m a former ballerina who went into figure skating and recently went back to ballet to help with skating, but ballet training should be more required/popularized as a very important training for figure skating. Not only musicality, artistry, posture, body lines, but port de bra absolutely makes a difference if the skater has ballet experience and training.
Super elegant graceful arms. It's absolutely possible to make even basic skills look more advanced and interesting by emphasising upper body and arms. I think however many people arent naturally drawn to using their arms in this way, particularly if they're not from a dance background. If you can get over the "do i look a bit silly" doing this... You'll be the envy of the rigid army ;)
Practice at home in the mirror to get comfortable 👍❤️ this will help lots. Just try adding a couple of arms on your warm up on the ice and getting comfortable with that. Before you know it, you will be doing it naturally without thinking 😉❤️
Arms and face. At least I often look veeeery concentrated and probably more like sitting on the toilet than doing figure skating. 😅 I think I should start to learn to smile all the time, to make it a habit to look friendly instead of too focused on what I'm doing. 😂
I need to learn this right now. I am shooting up through levels really fast because I was a gymnast (beginner 1 to aspire in 3 months), but the whole arms concept is so new to me! I forget about them all the time and screw up my skills when I do! 😣

Ballet definitely helps ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing! Arms always seem to be forgotten in the struggle to get elements.
