I guess the difference was they had record of my purchase direct from them. I ended up with 3 drink cups and I painted over the smudges on the first 2.
i've been changing my defect & faulty klean kanteen over and over and over again without any hassle , getting a new one like a piece of cake - so damn easy !
This sounds super wasteful. If your bottle works don't destroy the earth just because you want to open new packaging. And if you wanted a new one, the time energy and gas to package and send it back isn't even worth it.
