    Why not just leave it on chromatic? vs. picking the key? Is there an advantage to picking the key? I'm a drummer and I could forget to change it or not know what key the song is. Thanks

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  3 года назад +4

      Only advantage is more accuracy. For example if you are trying to sing a D but you are singing E instead 2 steps up... It will not adjust the not to that scale in chromatic. Whereas when you choose a Key Scale it will push the note to the closest Note n that scale... So Eflat would go to D in D Major.. The whole system is somewhat flawed because theres no AI that knows what specific note ina scale you are trying to hit so you basically need to be within 1 or steps of the desired note. But if you dont know, just leave it in chromatic, sure. At least that way you arent imbetween notes in a nether region.

    • @evankeal
      @evankeal 2 года назад +2

      Good question, I guess the pros send a dummy audio track to pitch devices so they never actually set anything, and most songs would need the key adjusted up to every few seconds if the keys change often.

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  2 месяца назад

      Yes, you can plug whatever pedal or rack into it.
      Just turn the side gain knob way down.
      Then slowly bring it up.
      I usually chain this thing 1st then run it into my other tc helicon pedal for maximixing sound fx.

      Yah sure. I'll hook up my synthesizer.. it sounds better. I also out out a demo cover song of the C1 on my channel... However it is also chromatic but the clarity is much better. I'm working on a few videos but I'll try to get that one up your request up also.

      @@newcastlemusicstudios it would be cool if you do the tc voicelive play again the blue looking one in a designated key with any modern songs you’ll rack more views maybe and if you could try the voicetonesynth the old one it’ll be cool I’m tryna get those. Mainly aiming for a Tascam ta1vp. I have autotune pro currently and I don’t like the roughness I get hitting the higher notes. I’m going for a noticeable autotune effect. Would be super dope if you could give us an all in one review of the tc helicon voiceliveplay, voicetonesynth(if not, the voicetone correct xt would be dope), and the Tascam ta1vp

    • @andycarrillo48
      @andycarrillo48 3 года назад

      @@newcastlemusicstudios correct xt is less noticeable autopitch I think, voicetonesynth has hard tune or electric pitch which is what most people who do trap music are looking for.

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  3 года назад +1

      @@andycarrillo48 sure I was working on it a bit earlier. I think the Ideal Autotune style you are looking for is called "Pop" under the TC Helicon Voicelive Play Hardtune Section... It is smooth, noticeable n a good way, and has that futuristic feel to it. I could compare the C1 specifically to that for some more Clarity. I'll drop the video link on this thread tomorrow night or evening thanks for the ideas

    • @newcastlemusicstudios
      @newcastlemusicstudios  2 года назад +1

      A major is made up of a scale A, B, C♯, D, E, F♯, and G♯.. ever major scale has a relative minor scale you get if you play in the other direction
      So A Major is also F#Minor F♯, G♯, A, B, C♯, D, and E.
      So Yes it it can do both major and minor, just look up the Minor scale Relative major scale to fin the proper key if you don't know.

Singing kareoke versions of love lockdown or sexy chick, the thing about akon and kanye when your hitting your high notes right or key of the song the pedal works good and unfortunately if you have a crappy mic its not helping, i would recommend shure's ksm9, but like i said if you hit those lows and highs right it will sound good if your all over the place your going to sound like a robot, just my 2 cents!
