I just bought the D1 and T1. I need a really short XLR cable. Keep in mind when you buy all of them, you need three short XLR's to connect them all, or you will lose signal :)
Dude, this video just completely sold me on the whole board. I was really only here for the C1 and T1. But I need all of these. I'm about to make an attempt at starting an electronic hardcore band, and I needed something for hard tuning vocals. I can't wait to get these.
Very cool videos man, I can't wait till I get my pedals from Helicon. For the impatient (I hope you don't mind); T1 overview starts at 3:45 -> T1 singing at 5:21 C1 overview starts at 7:58 -> C1 singing at 10:20 D1 overview starts at 12:31 -> D1 singing at 13:13 R1 overview starts at 15:05 -> R1 singing at 16:03
Hi I was trying to decide what TC Helicon pedal to buy as I am a solo singer. I was really close to ordering the T1, and when I came across your video and you made a comment that the best one to get first would be the Helicon T1, it made up my mind for sure. The comments you made about the T1 I found really helpful. great video. Thanks.
I have the D-1, and I am very happy with it. So are my band mates. We use it 100% of the time. However, we set the level knob at around 10 o'clock. 12 o'clock is too much! At 10 o'clock it's transparent and natural sounding.
I'm gonna get the H1, which isn't demo'd here, for harmonies and then? I love the idea of these pedals so we can get a touch of gear lust satisfaction as we can afford it. The sound quality is great! You did an excellent job of producing this demo video. Thanks a bunch for all the info. All the pedals are great so I have no idea which one I'll get after the H1. Totally love the fact that the first gain knob controls or basically defuncts the rest of the gains, that'll make life easier for us.
Hi there. Great video!!!!!! Im wondering if u can answer a question I have. Can I connect a Tc-helicon T1 with a Tc-helicon Create Xt? Is it good to connect those bouth pedals? I already have a Tc-helicon T1 and I'm looking for more effects.
Thank you and thanks for watching! Certainly you can have both connected, depending on how you want to use them with one another and what your final effect you're going for. Hope that helps and have fun with experimenting with those two pedals together!
@Quikster220 I've debated that with myself as well. What sold me on these is that there is no way at all to get your own vocals doubled naturally in a live setting because everyone's voice is unique. Your voice is not reproducible unless you have artificial means like this. It's not so much cheating as it's lovingly providing the audience with better sound reinforcement. :)
Outstanding demo! Exactly the detail I needed. More awesome is the fact that you are obviously a "rocker"...and not a chick, not a rapper, not a pop-star wannabe, not a screamer, and not a "mumbling-moaner." I have nothing against those styles of music -- to each his/her own -- but finally I get to hear how the TC boxes might sound if I were using them. Thanks!!
I currently use a Boss VE-20 effects pedal, which I love. The problem is that some songs we play use a variety of effects at different parts of the song and it is aggravating to keep bending down to switch. If I bought these, with the boss, what would be the proper chain sequence to hook it all up?
Hello FightingZero! Thank you very much for the video. I really enjoy what you do here on YT. I have a question in mind, and I can not get the right answer, I mean I would like to get your opinion please. I have T1, D1, R1, E1, in the same chain order. Maybe I should replace R1 with E1, so the new chain order would be T1, D1, E1, R1. What do you think?
GREAT video! Clear and articulate demonstration! Am very interested in purchasing the R1. I live in the USA and want to know if they are available here yet? Thanks, Sue
I was interested in a reverb style pedal for music in the style of Journey/Boston/Kansas etc - what do you think? Or am I getting it wrong and should be looking for a Chorus type pedal?
Good video - do you ever find the c1 pushes you on to the wrong note though? When singing notes that are just a semi tone apart in the scale for example? Just curious how effective it is.. the effect n here was quite noticeable, it was just on chromatic then wasn't it?
I just contatec TC Helicon's tech support dept. and they say the the compression/de-ess knob is an either/or knob - turn left for more compression & right for more de-essing. I thought it was a coupled effect (clockwise for more of both, counter-clockwise for less of both). But not according to them. The manual does not make this clear. In fact - I'm not totally sure I believe the tech support's answer was correct. It doesn't seem to operate this way.
You record, say, three chords that you want to play over and over to jam along with. Instead of playing those chords a hundred times so it's long enough to jam to, you recorded them to a tape playing them only a few times. Then you cut the tape before and after your chords and then splice it to form a tape "loop". Play that loop through your tape player and it repeats endlessly until you stop the tape. That's what looping is. Now it's digital instead of tape but the term "loop" stuck.
I do like my echo pedal but I think the knobs spin too freely, It's really easy to accidentally knock you pedal out of adjustment with your foot if it slips.
My life, you guys. Is so behind.
You guys.

I was wondering why I was getting static using D1 with R1. LOL

My life also goes down the drain if I hear that line one more time. ;-)
Thanks for posting this! Great to see and 'Hear' before buying!!!
MY LIIIIIIIIIFE IS SO BEHIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i wonder when they'll come up with the R2-D2

Maybe it's my headphones but I couldn't hear any difference with the effects on or off on the T1.
i like the T1 & D1
exelent! thanks!
You're welcome! :) Thanks for watching!

very good video =)
Thank you!
Apart from confirming a conspicuous lack of creative potential, does the C1 do anything that could be used outside of a ten second commercial slot?
How well does the T1 handle screaming???
I think this guy might need to get his life together..

Should have played all of them at the same time.
Look into the Voiceplay Live gtx if you want all of the effects with more control for about the same price.
here's the club! I was hoping for the beat to break down:D
GREAT video! Clear and articulate demonstration!
Am very interested in purchasing the R1. I live in the USA and want to know if they are available here yet?
Thanks,

How to set up the pedal's? t1- 2 and 3 a clock. What abaut the rest? Thanks
Totes behinds!
dude got 1 question. will i get all these effects in the TC Helicon Create XT ??
I'm not sure whether to get the R1 or the Mic Mechanic. Has anyone any ideas?

do any of them make ur voice sound distorted
Hey Scott, can you chain these pedals to a Harmony G-XT?
You record, say, three chords that you want to play over and over to jam along with. Instead of playing those chords a hundred times so it's long enough to jam to, you recorded them to a tape playing them only a few times. I like his deeeeep speaking-voice !
Can this get hooked up to a computer for my studio
And the 2nd phrase don't make much more sense than the first!
@zenplace4 That VE-20 Demo is SOOOOOOOOO ANNOYING... good to see i'm not alone hehe
So behinds? Why the s in behind? Turn up that de esser!
omfg this he is using my mic :)
the C1 vocal correction, will it allow you to hit higher notes in certain parts of a song you normally could not
can you hook these to p.a . for live performance vocal effect?
@fightingzero can i hook these up to a mixr?
Absolutely.
hey man the c1 can it do like a cher kina affect?
only the first pedal give the gain?
That's correct :) It makes life easy.
I do like my echo pedal but I think the knobs spin too freely, It's really easy to accidentally knock you pedal out of adjustment with your foot if it slips.
11:17 hello killswitch!!!!
Don't they make a pedal that incorporates the features of all these pedals?
Hey mate, do they work as fine on studio recording?
I wasn't impressed. The processing seems kinda weak to me.
i know this probably sounds stupid, but what does "loop" mean in music???
Is it on purpose that the T1 is activated the whole time?
Do you think the H1 sounds fake? What is the major advantage of using it with a guitar? I'm a singer, not a guitarist...you know?
@susuemikado u can get it a sweetwater(.)com :)
what is the soundtrack at the beginning of the video? nice riff!
Soooooo... these things are for cheating? Hehe, cool products, but won't really help you get any better.
