Wot, no comment on what you thought of them? Good? Bad?
I have Leki makalu lite, i buy them one year ago, poles are great and i used before some other materials, but aluminium is PERFECT, lock sistem is easy, i am very satisfied with them, i recomended for everyone !
do the sections come all the way apart for packing ?
Although the segments can be separated for the purpose of cleaning or repair, it isn't recommended to regularly dissemble them completely for the purpose of storage. Whenever possible, we recommend collapsing the poles to their minimum length, and the sections can be separated if a part needs repaired, replaced, or cleaned.
HiWhat material are the speed locks made of? plastic or metal?
are the metal tips (not the rubber accessories) replaceable?
thank you very much
Hi Thomas, The Leki Speedlocks are made of a high quality plastic. Additionally, the the Carbide tips are replaceable. You can find our video on the Leki carbide flex tips here: ruclips.net/video/4eT-sbDu_X8/видео.html
@@Enwild Perfect, thanks a lot
What's the main difference between the Makalu Lite and the Sherpa Lite?
Great question! The poles are primarily the same, however the Sherpa Lite poles weigh about 0.5 oz more (at 18 oz), and come with the Speed Lock 2 Plus system. They also come with Leki's Big Mountain baskets in addition to the trekking baskets. The Makalu Lite poles have the Speed Lock Plus system, weigh 17.6 oz, and come only with the Trekking baskets
