We all want to operate. And there's no better way to look operational than by throwing on a plate carrier. HRT Tactical Gear makes the RAC plate carrier and a full line of accessories to go with it. What is the 1911 Syndicate? We do a few things. We started out as a real estate company primarily targeted at serving the military/LE/shooting/hunting communities. Great gear and review for regular cats that lead semi-normal lives now and the Gov doesn't pay for our ammo and training anymore. The only thing I operate anymore is a zero-turn mower...keep pumping out solid content....we are with you.

I already run this civi RAC plate carrier with the same set up plus an additional 3 mag AR placard. And I still thoroughly enjoyed the review. Because it’s always great to get other’s perspectives!

God what a beautiful area. Always loved the colors on the ground out West here. You lose a lot of the lush vibrance you find back East but out here the ground is just so colorful with all the different kids of plants on it.

Quick detach is for ditching the plate carrier fast. An example is if you fall in a body of water. You'll lose the gear, but save your life.

@Brandon Green Eh, I think its just a PWS Mod 2-m Upper on a Rebel Arms lower. A lot of people save money by skipping the extremely expensive PWS ambi forged lowers. My next PWS, I am building the lower and just buying the upper.

Awesome carrier. The only thing about the front is you won't be able to get low to the ground if you really need to. Big Trouble will have to use the carrying handle at some point.

I love my hrt carrier but it’s a lot bulkier then it looks with the 3 mag 2 gp setup.. really thinking about swapping out to the standard 3x only setup..

Question. When you are in combat can you drop your empty mags or you need to return all?
Honestly not qualified to answer that. But from classes I’ve been in depends on the condition of the mag. If there are rounds lefts in the mag being replaced then retain the mag. If mag is empty drop it and go
From what my homies that were in they would dump pouch them or straight toss them depending on how bad the situation is
Like others have said it's situational. If you're in a situation that goes so bad you're out on your own and you have to speed reload, your life is worth more than the mags so dump them. But generally speaking people in combat don't usually go alone so they can take the extra time to retain them while others take cover for you.
What is your size running the L210s my man??? I feel like the shooters cut in 10x12 will get the job done especially with some foam behind..

Banshee 2.0 blows. Stitching failed opening front flap to move cumberbund straight out the box. Kangaroo elastic ripped out of cumberbund as well. The buckles size along with straps are too excessive to comfortably shoulder a weapon. Save your money and buy something else.

Returning mine. Plates bag doesn’t cover the the whole plate. Will not work with plates that are thicker then 0.75 and any type of trauma Pad. Also plate bag IFAK also won’t fit well. Also the hook and loop is reversed versus most other Plate Carrier closures. Meaning the Roughside will dig into your plate and can start premature wear.
I've heard some people say that this plate carrier is a duty plate carrier, including the company. What about it to you personally makes you feel that it is only for civilian use?

Gotta say, I love your content and subbed the first vid I found. However, I really dislike how much you have stacked on the front (skull drags are a thing and are made exponentially worse by having stacks of stuff out front. Migrate it to the sides is my $.02). I also do not understand the trend of putting storage on the back of your PC. How are you going to get anything out of that? Why wouldn't you just keep it slick and wear a pack? Water source is kind of understandable but I just don't get anything else being affixed back there, nor have I ever been in a unit that encouraged or mandated that kind of thing.
all fair points i heard a guy say the shit on the back of your rig is for your team mate, or worst case scenario. He was a Green Beret for quite some time and his team would plus up and top off from the back of the guy in front of them in the stack when needed. Again Jake and i are playing dress up take massive amounts of salt with all this
To add to what was said above these back panels require you to have people with you to access them. If you're out on your own with gear you need to access you'll need a pack.
In a Primary & Secondary modcast on 5.56 vs 7.62 Chuck Pressburg had a story about a guy on his team who had the 7.62 NATO weapon and to keep his front with just a single stack of mag pouches he had to carry double stack pouches on his back. So sometimes in the middle of the night he'd hear the guy go "psssss! can you pass me the mags?" because he wouldn't be able to reach them himself.

Have both prefer the Ferro. The RAC is good just a little more bulky feeling. Downside of Ferra for me is no velcro on back. Added my own works grear.
Have the extra shoulder pads'for both and havent felt'the need to use them. With the ferro I do not feel the weight on my shoulders at all, with the rac I do'
feel more on my shoulders.

Damn, not a big fan of that one from what I can see. That's an ultra bulky setup for only having half inch little L210 plates.
It makes me laugh when people make a big deal out of "not mil spec or battle ready or range toy" third world freedom fighters, soldiers and militia actually fight every day with an ak, some janky nap sack, flip flops and maybe a machete maybe not and they fight and kill every day. I'm sure they wouldn't throw rocks at the most airsoft rig you could throw at them.
