    Today we talk about plate carrier setups for civil unrest. AKA, not a rig you're likely to use anywhere other than your home city, and likely.......alone. The primary carrier being discussed is the Agilite K19. Agilite is an Israeli company, and while I had prior not been familiar with them...I must say...they make a phenomenal plate carrier.
    What is the 1911 Syndicate? We do a few things. We started out as a real estate company primarily targeted at serving the military/LE/shooting/hunting communities. Consider it our "day job" and we can serve you pretty much anywhere in the USA. Next we're a content producer. We kind of fell into it semi by accident, and here we are today. We try to do things a little different and have some fun. Thanks for tuning in.

    As somebody who's first experience with plate carriers were military issued ones, I have to say that the K19 has to be one of if not my most favorite plate carrier. It's just so unbelievably comfortable that I just can't get over it sometimes. The first day I had it I fitted it and wore it to see how long before it got uncomfortable, and ended up wearing it for seven whole hours. I did have to take it off because I was going to a party and didn't want to look really "special" because of it.
    Edit: Thought it would be funny… and it was. Certified comfortable enough to sleep in, even with an AMAP III, front/back/side plates, and even a placard system. Only problem was that my feet kept getting cold.

    Agree on the need for a helmet. Last summer was a good example of why. I'd also add a smaller handheld HAM radio for possible ability to listen in on first responder talk/call for help. Throw in a small GMRS radio for a second party if needed. Some water purification tablets wouldn't be the worst idea. Small thing of TP wipes and change of socks would top it off.

      Same here....but the thing is,either they are doing this on purpose, revealing their changes one by one with couple of months in between, either you and I will never be satisfied wanting the latest and greatest every time....watch Thin Line Defense Co video...they said that even the cummerbund will change to accommodate whatever cummerbund we will want....so you see, they know and listen to customers, but, they are "calculating" every release/improvement

  • @mortalitydoesstuff8965
    @mortalitydoesstuff8965 Год назад +2

    I work out in my K19 because it's just that comfortable. The one thing I'll say is that the cummerbund design is amazing and I love it but it's not that great at being loaded up with gear because of the minimal design. Supposedly the Warfighter cummerbund they're dropping for the K Zero will be backwards compatible with the K19 but currently I don't see how that's possible unless either it has some weird design trick or you have to use an addon they either provide or sell. We'll find out in May when it launches
    I also saw a really cool mod for the AMAP pack that allows you to keep the straps connected while still using the shoulder strap tiedowns so you can have a super solid connection but still be able to ditch your carrier pretty quickly and still keep your bag, you basically just add in another of that little plastic piece on each side. I personally think I would do it with clips or g hooks instead to make it even faster, but I'll link the original if I can find it.

    Just 2 average guys on the way home from a hard day at work, and the Karens start to go at it with the LGBQRTZ'S. Rocks are flying, the pink dust/ glitter bombs start to go off. No one is safe.
    Your setup guys looks legit for civil unrest. Maybe back off on the extra mags in pack and put in a bladder. That K19 pack has a spot for it. I'd rather have extra water to get home than leave a trail of bodies to my house. When you get home, like you say ditch the bag and your slick, to defend the home front. I'd also have an oversized light coat to cover the whole deal if you have to ditch the vehicle. One could be rolled up and strapped to the bottom of the K19 bag, it has provisions for it. Great vid guys. I ordered a K 19 / 3.0 with the bag and dangler a couple of days before I saw your vid. Going to drop the Tasmanian Tiger MK111 Plate carrier. Not a fan of the quick release cable system on it. But like you guys it's for civil unrest/ home front defense. To old to run anywhere.

    The bump helmet is something a lot of guys over look. And the tactical Terrie’s say, why not a ballistic?! Well, in civil unrest, you’re gonna want to be light, hence the non full battle rattle. Getting hit with a brick or bat will be more worrisome and practical, not rounds down range. Also, it’s not like you’re gonna be running nods or any other helmet gear, just something to keep you from catching a Reginal Denny case (old guys remember). Bump helmets are cheap and you can use it for other purposes, recreational. Biking, run into a “mostly peaceful” protest? You’re covered! Anyway, good job guys. the only thing I have on my "oh shit" helmet is a strong pistol light so that I can have a lot of light hands free if I need it, and protective goggles for stuff like tear gas or pepper spray, if it gets on my face or in my mouth I can deal with that, but if it gets in my eyes (super sensitive girly eyes) I'm down for the count.
    I haven't put together a tactical NV helmet yet, mainly because I don't have helmet compatible NV, but I do have night vision and thermal clip-ons for my rifle, again not ideal for many scenarios, but it's what I already have because I predator hunt at night, and I can use it if I must.
    you don't have to have the newest greatest tactical whiz-bang gear (it's definitely nice if you can afford it, but if you have some basic gear that you can make do with in an emergency you'll be better off than the majority of people who likely done have anything.
    plates, ammo, a couple power bars, a couple bottle of water, and some basic med gear can make all the difference in the world. use what you have, and if you have the time and money to do so, improve what you have now, but if your gear is basic then master it. I'd bet on the guy with a glock19 with nothing but a light who practices every week over the guy with a KAC SR-15 with everything but the kitchen sink bolted to it who just bought it for "the gram"
    regardless of what "tier" of gear you can afford, master that gear, master donning and doffing it quickly, master your accuracy and your reloads, master grabbing each item and knowing exactly where it is.

I had trouble shouldering my rifle and sitting in a vehicle for hours with it was extremely uncomfortable. I sold it and got the ferro slickster. Hence the name, it is very slick and slim. Much more comfortable and 0 complaints. I upgraded to the first spear tube cummerbund because I was spoiled from the k19. As for your pack, great place to store breaching tools, bangs and NVG.

    K19 needs to offset the plates so the rear isn’t sagging down and seated in the wrong area. The new warfighter cummerbund should fix this issue once released. I’m also not a fan of the spacer mesh as it insulates body heat and rather prefer Velcro backing underneath to attach pontoons like Qore Performance IceVents or IcePlates to maximize body cooling.

    If it’s not a plate carrier for war then why does Agilite advertise it as Israeli special forces gear? At the shot show this year they made it seem like they use this for police and military. I understand for war you need to carry more gear but you don’t think this would hold up in a combat situation?
