LYRICS
Yeah the evil is way too deep
The murderers lose no sleep
Supreme Court no sour cream
All I'm vetoing all your shit
Ignoring those deep state bitch
There's only one party this
Hey this time we're gonna be all right
I won't mess it up
Hey this time it's gonna be real nice
Nice for everyone
I'm the president yeah
You all voted here I am
I'm the president I love you
Who's the president me
Landslide fucking victory
I'm the president I love you
Yeah Mount Rushymore has some tits
I heard you been talking shit
Let's see where that airstrike hits
Still, still learning these nukey codes
Ignoring those deep state chodes
My TR-3B flies low

I really hope you've listened to Quality Over Opinion
I love how the lyrics sound like something a little kid would sing to themselves. It's simple but deadly-infectious and enveloped in a rich layer of art-funk. This is the kind of music you never knew you wanted until you heard it.
the best kind of music is the shit you didn't know you needed until you hear it. A+ work gentleman, very impressed

Louis Cole is the conductor of an orchestra, but instead waving a wand he fucking holds it down on drums and maintains the backbone of the tightest pocket I have ever heard. I have so much respect for the musicians involved in this masterpiece.

"Orange you glad I won?" Not too subtle satire here.
was just thinking this morning, while listening to some Louis Cole music, I wondered "Would there ever be more Knower songs?" Seems like I manifested myself in the right timeline, for once.
If you think this way everyday, like I do, it will happen one morning. A broken clock is correct twice a day 🙂

I had the same thought on the same day - mind control???

Everything about this is perfect. The insanely funky bass tone, the awesome keyboard playing, the brass section lick, Paul Cornish rushing downstairs just in time to play a wild piano solo, the fact that they got an entire orchestra for like the last 15 seconds of the song, the uncalled for but totally sick drum solo at the end, the hilarious editing, and the random gong at the end. Chef's kiss.
Oh, and the fact that the keyboard Jacob Mann was playing was just a random cheapo one off Amazon
Oh, AND there's a new Knower album coming out

I need to know how all of these people playing live together with the timing and microphones is coordinated, recorded, mixed. Absolutely mind blowing.
Very carefully. What blows my mind is how technology has allowed it to happen in a random house in the hills (rather than a purpose-built studio). DIY 5 EVAR!!!
Click tracks and modern DAWs go a lllooonnnnggg way.
If you look closely most of them if not all of them have in ear monitoring. Behind the scenes I imagine is a pretty incredible live recording and wireless monitor set up.

That bass drum fill at 3:32 !!!!! There are so many awesome moments here, but that but part really got me
I hope the non-drummers out there appreciate how difficult it is to do those fast triplet kicks with a single pedal at 3:33... that right there is like years of practice.
Yeah that's just insanity. I guess you can learn a lot from playing drums in a van
wait that was *single* pedal
@@LeonDerczynski Right? Any sane drummer with stakes that high... that many performers on the line... would have slapped on a double pedal and been done with it. No one would have noticed the difference. But Louis Cole is no sane drummer. He throws in an insanely difficult kick fill that sticks out like a sore thumb when no other instrument is playing. That takes balls of steel and insane chops. I don't think 99% of people realize the madness of what he's doing there. As huster3of4 says... it's just insanity.
Is it not just a heel toe method?
I taught myself how to do John Bonham Triplets when I was 19....... I havent touched drums in like 7 years now.
Really great, another fantastic song. I guess it's been 13 or 14 years of music? The fact quality hasn't gone down over all these years shows the level of talent Knower has. Much bigger groups have not been able to consistently put out music that's top notch like this.
my god, this song is so epic. and, it's not just the piano solo but the piano solo section... i'm getting goose bumps with them choir and the orchestration. and the filming and the editing and these subtle additions and the not taking themselves seriously and the groove and that nobody got paid... it's just epic, dude.
Wait wait back the truck up.

I love absolutely everything about this. And I think ‘landslide fucking Genevieve” might be one of my favorite lyrics of all time.
After listening to Knower and Louis Cole for some time this sounds so familiar and stylish.
I don't know music theory, but maybe this unique harmony and recognizable sound somehow has to do with this.
Don't know why but still not tired to listening them again and again.
Looking forward for the new album!
@Michael Lochlann Surely he knows now, cause that all makes sense to the layman, right? (but yeah you're right)
@Michael Lochlann By combining modern jazz with pop they do such a good thing to promote such music to a wider auditory.
I was really satisfied to hear that Let It Happen was nominated for Grammy. That was the same joy for me as when Thundercat won his Grammy on It Is What It Is.
This one shares a lot of similarity to 'Don't Care', sounds, basslines, textures etc. Particularly the verse at 1:40. Very intentional.
Also the little horn riff at 2:33 is exactly the same as the one in 'When You're Ugly'.
Louis tends to re-use little licks, chord patterns and note choices across many of this songs to create his distinctive sound.
I love that TR3B reference. I remember being obsessed with it as a kid and wondering if it was a government aircraft or not. My friends and family were always annoyed by my ramblings. This is the kind of shit that makes me feel less alone. Thanks knower!

That snare is CRIMINALLY CHONK and I love it.
Yes indeed! That's a Ludwig "Black Beauty" model, with a black nickel-plated brass shell. Ludwig introduced it in the 1920's and it's been one of the most iconic and sought-after snare drums in the world ever since.

The piano solo is almost painfully beautiful.
When he switches from dragging a lil to rushing past in like a different time signature, oof. Reminds me of jdilla weaving in and out of time but always landing on a heavy beat

A comment to just appreciate Mariel Austin's (pink-haired girl w/ trombone) energy vibing with every beat!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bass! It sounds like it was recorded in a pro studio. I am putting this on repeat on my play list just for that alone. And the drums, the PIANO! Wow. But I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the song! Fantastic, I think it is probably the best song I have heard in the last 10 or 15 years. Maybe longer.
I am a classic rock fan, 60 years old, but I also love any style of music if it is good. I am going to see if I can get Rick Beato to react to it. I have already seen a couple of other people react to this song.

i'm afraid many of you, folks from the usa, have been deluded into thinking that your next president would be mrs Artadi - instead, you had somebody else, and as a french, i feel sorry for you ! (but it's nice to see so many people voting for Genevieve and Louis !)

@@billywilliamson8411
Louis' pet mouse is named Bradford Montgomery-Westington III. He is a 53 year old criminal defense attorney who specializes in feline felony law.
Bradford grew up in Dubai, India with his mother, Meredith, and his step-father, Bradford Montgomery-Westington II.
As a young mouseling Bradford was painfully shy and introverted to the point of almost complete social isolation. In the 10th grade he met another young mouse named Sheridan Pollack and the two became fast friends.
Sheridan was president of the debate team and tried recruiting Bradford on several occasions. It wouldn't be until senior year that he would finally be brave enough to join. Bradford immediately fell in love with debate. Finding flaws in other's arguments and dismantling logical fallacies is what sent Bradford on a path that would ultimately inspire him to pursue law, and eventually become an attorney.
Bradford is married to a human woman named Shannon. They have 3 sons together, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. All three have pursued careers as fire-fighters.
Aside from his law practice, Bradford manages a handful of music artists including, Knower, Alicia Keys, Mutemath, Grimes, KoЯn, and Bill Wurtz.
