I just hit $100,000 net worth this last quarter from saving and i plan to invest in the stock market to see it grow in the next 3 years. What is the best way to navigate the stock market as a newbie?

I believe a healthy portfolio has 3 things, at the bare minimum: Exposure to ETFs for increased diversification, Exposure to assets that generate cash flow like dividend stocks, Exposure to market-leading tech.

Consider allocating 30-40% to a High-Yield Savings Account (HYSA) and enlisting the help of an advisor to diversify into positions with the rest of your capital. My advisor has significantly impacted my financial journey, fostering clarity and confidence in the stock market. Thanks to her guidance, I've grown my portfolio from $100k to $1.4m in just 5 years.

My portfolio for the past 30 years has always been self managed and I own 3 shares of Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock (BRK:A) which I bought in at about $17,000 during the mid 90s, I’m currently liquidating some of these positions to incoporate new Gen. Stocks, but am I better off re-investing into Gold as it seems stocks are a little too unstable right now.

I wholeheartedly concur; I'm 60 years old, just retired, and have about $1,250,000 in non-retirement assets. Compared to the whole value of my portfolio during the last three years, I have no debt and a very little amount of money in retirement accounts. To be completely honest, the information provided by invt-advisors can only be ignored but not neglected. Simply undertake research to choose a trustworthy one.

People often underestimate financial advisors' importance. Over 50 years of data reveal that those who work with advisors typically earn more than those who go it alone. I've been fortunate to work with one for 13 years, resulting in a $7 million portfolio, largely from early investments in AI and other growth stocks.

Maybe it goes sideways or down in summer, but it peaks only in June-July, and before that it pumps like crazy in May. Next few months will be euphoric, forget about deeper corrections. Stock market is already oversold, put/call ratio near extreme levels, May is historically bullish for tech stocks (if earnings come out good). Bitcoin will probably chop around here and close month negatively (first time in 8 months), then to the moon! And even if there is a larger correction in the future, it will happen above previous ATH, that's where BTC.D dumps and altseason kicks in. So the fun is just getting started...It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Tobias Hawke, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

The market is not necessarily a rollercoaster if you know your way around it, but If you are not too savvy with the market, just buy and hold on strong companies with good earnings, or consult with advisors on ETFs and actively managed funds. Took my own advice and as of today, my cash reserve has yielded from $350k to nearly $1m in months..

Finance Sector people say they make money because they are doing a service to the market which is " They increase the capital use efficiency in Capitalistic market systems." So they deserve their pay. But in a world where capital is printable infinite resource, creating this efficiency punishes the common man through this optimization, as they can't get a good deal in market, and neither the freedom to produce stuff in piece.
Increasing efficiency of the markets argument as a public good, seems wrong, very wrong.
We do not know if to blame the player or the game. Cause either one being repaired can help. But as the businessman is living a private life knowingly and openly, government needs to get its act together as you can not live to serve and create moral hazards in plenty.
Universalist arguments for Government's self-harming actions would be that ""if we do not do that then there will war, and death, because people will see the truth. Cause is true but results are not. As people will hate it but not all people want to kill and destroy, cause it also has negative consequence on their life."
This feels like a completely convergent solution, that the governments on this planet have became very very incompetent.
And instead of rebelling, we the young ones will reverse teach you without breaking any laws as to how to be good leaders. No actual violence just simple actions of fair exchange and pragmatism till the bosses, leaders start learning more instead of blabbering in front of us, making us vomit in their presence.

It’s actually a bit mind boggling that Berkshire is sitting on close to 200 BILLION in cash sitting in treasuries that they could deploy but haven’t. At this point the company is like a whole market index of its own their decisions can make or break companies and shift the market. There’s a reason why if you look at 13F filings Berkshire is a top holding in most super investor and big money portfolios. I’d be watching what they do closely. It’ll be sad when Warren is gone but the portfolio is in need of a shift out of value. Likely should have reduced Bank of America, Kraft Heinz & Coca Cola long ago.

Warren's comment about taxes that elicited applause misses the point that Berkshire is not a real business itself! It just invests in companies that actually are! - such as Apple, which makes iPhones, or BNSF, which moves freight. If corporate tax rates go up, then Berkshire will make less. I am really shocked that Warren made this comment!!!

You know that Berkshire owns Burlington Northern right ?

Of course, and that is why I mentioned it. He owns Apple too. You must not understand my point. My point is that if the companies he owns must pay more tax, then the value of those companies declines - and in turn, so does Berkshire.

Valid point for sure, however I think he is pointing fingers at all the Tech companies with huge profits using countries like Ireland to avoid paying IRS taxes which he, as a law abiding American dose not like what he sees regardless of profits just by the ideology of it all.
