I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.
True, I mostly just buy and hold stocks, but my portfolio has been mostly in the red for quite awhile now. Unfortunately to be able to make good gains, you’ll need to be consistent and restructure your portfolio frequently.
In my opinion, it was much easier investing back in the 60s but it’s a lot trickier now, those making consistent profit in these times are professionals reason I’ve been using an advisor for the past 5 years to consistently build my portfolio in preparations for retirement.
My partner’s been considering going the same route, could you share more info please on the advisor that guides you?

Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?
Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder.
truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. Man, I'm not sure about Disney. Disney streamers say attendance is way down at the parks, which is paying the freight for everything else. I was at WDW in Florida in February and it's really expensive and just not good value for the money. Universal was way more fun.

Dude, every modern apple device is equipped with capabilities to run transformers on edge devices, for portable b2c AI services they are the only player who’s got what it takes, another example is Tesla, but their chip drives you around. I'm intrigued by Fubo and have been, but I've been a subscriber before and it is a legitimately bad streamer for the monthly price. The biz model, financials, etc definitely are attractive but the actual user end service is laggy, slow, glitchy, etc. If it was priced like Sling, I would have stayed with them. But do a free trial of RUclips TV and it's a WHOLE DIFFERENT world. Sooo superior as a streaming service, for not much more than Fubo.
