Why is Lenovo prohibiting the memory from being upgraded on the Ideapad 5? Yet on the cheaper IdeaPad 3 you're able to upgrade. They should let both be upgradable. This is stupid. That's why I won't buy the ideapad 5.
In my limited knowledge, i believe High frequency rams are ( LPDDR) seems to be soldered, so u will get better performance out of the box. I own a lenovo IdeaPad 13th gen which have 5200mhz ram frequency. When u chose upgradable ram option you will get 3200mhz ram slots generally
Everybody thinking why is ram soldered? Which limit upgrade options in future. From current laptop market i choose soldered lpddr ram option. When you choose a soldered ram, you gonna get High frequency ram , which improves performance out of the box, one thing you need remember is go with enough Ram storage when you buy. Coz there is no upgrade options 😂 When u decide to go with a ram upgradable laptop, then you will get regular ddr4 or ddr5 ram of frequency 3200mhz plus. .. Some times capacity of ram matters, some tym speed of ram. So choose wisely. For me High speed rams, so i choose 16 gb of 5200mhz lpddr5 rams
@@ToxicNerd awesome thank you, I was thinking about that because I saw the Crucial one of 2 Tb and I was wondering if there might be any difference since Samsung for me as starter is a more recognizable brand so, thanks for the reply, blessings. 🙏🏽

Where's the RAM? My lenovo IdeaPad 5 14ALC05 have one empty ram slot as per task manager. I want to open and see if it really is. This is because the laptop comes with 4GB RAM. So only one RAM stick is deployed and may be there's an empty slot for second RAM on motherboard. No video on RUclips showing the location of RAM in these kind of laptops.
Hello, I have an Ideapad 5 15iYL05, but in the bootmanager it does not recognize anything, that is, I insert the bootable USB, with W10 either UEFI or MBR and it does not recognize it, absolutely nothing comes out, and I have already disabled the secure BOOt and the USB is enabled Boot, but when giving F12 no drive appears, can you support me? Thank you
In my case, I copied the intel drivers to the bootable disk but Windows 11 Clean install fails after a while. In my case, I don't see a hard drive in bios at all either so not sure if it's the controller or disk?
Hey if anyone could answer me i would really appreciate it, When someone says "RAM Not upgradable" Does it mean you can't Upgrade it to have more RAM or you simply can't change the 8GB Ram to another 8GB?
The RAM is soldered on the motherboard, in principle it will not be possible to replace it, approximately like a processor) In fact, this laptop is like a smartphone)

I'm sure the ram can be upgraded but it needs to be de soldered which would be better done by a pc tech.
