Thank you! This video is so helpful -- full of detailed info that will help me make the best choices for my card projects.
Thank you so much for
Showing the different papers and how they are used - appreciated that you shared the weights of each as well..
Great refresher Brandy. It is also goo to see what can be matched and how. I had forgotten to read the back of the DSP packs for the coordinating colours. I am really loving these back to basics. Thank you.
Found this to be very educational on the different weights of the papers.
Yes the matching inks, c.s. is what makes Stampin'up the best.
Thanks Brandy, I have been watching your new series on the fundamentals of stamping. Years ago I was a demonstrator for Stampin'up and just love watching you. Connie is my demonstrator but I follow all you gals, Jackie and Sharon.
This video was very helpful! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, this is the 1st time I ever heard the weight of the cardstock. great info. I just connected with a lovely neighbor and invited her and her daughters to come for a card making fun afternoon or evening. They were excited to get the catalogs. Now I have info to share why our paper is so great, Thank You.
Thank you Brandy. Im enjoying this series a lot!
Yay!! Thank you Teresa!! I’m so glad you are finding these videos helpful and informative 💕
Lots of great info.
Than you again for a interesting video. I feel like I have learned so much with your help.
I have found your videos very informative. Thank you
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO BRANDY, VERY HELPFULL!
Yay!!! Thank you Rita!! I’m so glad 😊
Excellent information.. This video should be on the Stampin Up website! Great introduction and explanation of the various papers. Kudos to you Brandy.
Saying hello from Idaho good afternoon...saving to rewatch
I hoard my SU patterned paper. It’s gorgeous and great colorful quality.
I enjoyed your presentation, very interesting.
Thank you for this video. I always wondered what the weight of the paper was. I could not find it listed anywhere. Great series.
I like the colored core.
This was very helpful to me. Thank you, Brandy for sharing. Natalie Murdock
Nice explanation of Stampin up papers. One thing I would like to have seen here is the 12x12 laser cut paper that is lacey looking. I have some that is not divided into seperate designs & I get it out look at it & wonder how best to use it on my cards. I believe I bought it at the same time as my Bird Ballad suite. Some of it was used for these cards.
Thanks for videos I learn something new every time did not know very vanilla had thick. And I have packs that match dsp. I have alot of catching up to do.
Great, great class! I have been curious as to what the weight is for the basic white and the thick basic white and, now I know thanks to you!! I could not find it on Google so I thought it was a secret 😉.
I love these Beginner Series. I'm learning so much... thank you, Brandy! I was just a little confused that the two Very Vanillas are the same weight...80#, or maybe I misunderstood. 26:12
What paper weight do you recommend for home made envelopes? Thank you!
Hi Brandy😊
👍
Thanks Brandy great video. Good to know the different weights of the cardstock. I do have one ? to ask though. Is the Very Vanilla thick and regular both 80lbs or are they different like the Basic White cardstocks are?
Hi Marie, Great question! The Very Vanilla Cardstock is 80 lb and the Thick is 100 lb. Hope that helps!!
What kind of cardstock to use in paper flowers, what is the usual weight to use? Thank you for your reply
What is the best paper used for paperback book covers?
Iam here wondering which cardstock you would recommend for printing something like flash cards for kids
Okay … I’m looking at the catalog page wherein Brandy is showing the 5 color palettes, but am NOT understanding WHICH colors the cardstock ASSORTMENTS would come in. Would they be the more saturated ones on each top row? OR the subtler ones from the 2nd row designated “ 8 ½” x 11” “ ?? Can anyone help me further with this? Many thanks…
Thanks for stopping by!! I'd be happy to help and clarify. My first concern is you might be looking at a newer catalog which means the pages are off. If you have the New 2023 Annual Catalog the Assortments are on pg. 125. You can purchase cardstock assortments in Color Collections, In Colors and this year Stampin Up is offering New Core Colors. The Speciality Papers on pg 127 are only offered per pack. I hope this helps. If you have further questions feel free to email me brandyscards.com/contact. Happy Stamping! Brandy
I had viewed this video, paused at the scene when you opened the catalog (o.d. 6:57), e x p a n d e d the screen so I could read the information, and then commented as I did. I see that I’m about 18 months off the mark at THIS date, so I’ll go check a recent catalog. Thx for your input! 😉
That looks like Tulip Time in Holland, Michigan
