Ever got a call from the Social Security Administration telling you that your SSN has been suspended? It's a scam and it's costing Americans millions of dollars.
I had the chance to talk to one of the scammers behind it and he's ready to share his secrets with the world.
Voiceover work provided by Sahil Massey. Check out his work at www.fiverr.com...
That voice recording from the scam victim was really sad
Pander TV It was I hope she doesn’t fall for something like this again.
I hope it's legit not something for the video.
@ Same it doesn't sound very real
make me tear drop when she said its home alone
sounds fake to me
Heavy indian accent "Hi my name is Agent James Smith" There's your sign.
Exactly
Red flag yes but I work in a multinational company with IT departments in India. They sometimes change their names to American/British friendly names since their names are long and hard to pronounce. I built a working relationship with one of the guys and he told he did not legally changed his name but for the company he was Joe Johnson. But his actual name was Pasumati with a really long last name I can't recall. Fun fact their last names are long because when they marry last names get combined.
You might get a Indian guy with Sprint but not SSA, it’s the government!
bro the lack of vocabulary and grammer in the robocall is giant red flag
@Noogerveetz Canadian and American people should be aware of how there tax system works and government should do more to come raise awareness on the scam.
The voice actor you hired for scammer Steve is exceptional!
How? I thought he was hired because he has an Indian accent...I'll watch again to see what you mean though...
@@koreypaul6698 It's not just his accent, but he's so "in character" when he reads the lines of the scammer.
@@grendelprime166 👌🏽
his name is voodoovoice over. i thought the same thing so i searched him up on fiverr
No, on other channels I have seen these scripts
The authorities don’t even care. Jim Browning keeps sending them info about these scammers but it gets ignored.
What are they gonna do? Track them down to India and have the Indian Gov extradite them? They knows it's good portion of their economy, so they so they sit back and watch it all happen.
If only there were better jobs, more jobs, better wages.
The authorities love what jim browning does but what he does is illegal, it takes a lot of clearance, and beaurocratic processes to get personal information and deal with scammers , the police legally cant do much about it
An economy based on theft and lies is no economy at all and is unsustainable. This rats nest must be eliminated at the source
@@SaintDane Exactly, as bad as it is, we can only hope for more awareness and knowledge, and hope to, in some way get the law to be accountable.
That poor woman who was so upset, she was really scared. It’s fair enough.

The voice actor was phenomenal ! He really convinced me he had empathy and regret. Great job.

Our government should help that guy for the information..
Robin Gentry It should makes us wonder.... how such a powerful nation, can’t stop this! Or can they ... and they just won’t?
@@mr.caligaffiti6022 of course they wont wtf ? That is such a dumb question.
May you elaborate Tom
@@redninja0078 So the government should use resources to stop scamming? People need to start using their brain and use common sense instead of relying on the government about everything.
@@toooooooooooooooooooooooooooom It does make sense for a nation to invest in stopping scams, as it is literally millions of dollars leaving the country, without the state seeing a penny. Even if the state does not care about the individuals, it does care about keeping their money in the country.
Dude this is so sick. It’s like watching a mystery/drama show. Absolutely next level man
I know same here, I feel sorry for this lady even tho she didnt sent money to them , can you imagine the frightening she went threw?
Oof. I would definitely watch this in theaters if they ever did do one.
I fear for his safety
Considering that they might recognize the pictures of the office or the script...
Its really unfortunate what innocent people with a conscience have to do or go through just to put food on the table by working for these crooks.
It's unlikely because even if the scammers watch the video they still wouldn't know who in the office was the snitch
well once the phone number got out you know what call center its coming from. Hopefully enough people work there that they wouldn't be able to identify him.
I'm pretty sure those thugs got him by now, might get beat up real bad if not dead and there are plenty of other jobs he can go for in India. Scams don't happen everywhere in India, that's just something scammers tell themselves whenever they feel guilty.
But who snitched
You can’t hate the scammers that expose themselves and want to take others out. No respect for their pasts, but the legit ones that turn on the scammers I do respect. Shows they have a conscience. I love when these idiots call me. I know where every penny goes. As for the scammers that are defectors. They should take the high road and scam the scammers.

HOLY SHIT! This sounds like something right out of a movie! saving people and their money, keep on slamming dude.
Wow, these scammers aren't even making any money, Their bosses are the ones making all the money? This is sad all the way around...
So 99% of the money doesn't even go to the scammers, but their boss?
Yeah. Scanners get commission, a certain percentage of the takings per scam. The rest goes to the boss.
@@amir-jg4zy yes, but from the video it sounds like pennies per thousands of dollars.
That’s how real life works but ok
@@alecman95 Not to this extent. The worst job I've ever had was food delivery. Because I could earn tips, my boss didn't have to pay me even minimum wage. Even on nights that I got zero tips, I didn't have to worry about not being able to afford food. Yes, he may have been exaggerating for sympathy, but it is also possible that his boss gives him so little per each scam to make him have to scam more people to survive.
@Ayush Shah We only get tips so our bosses don't have to pay us as much, it dates back to when we got rid of slavery, you could hire someone to work for just tips. Not sure who you are talking about because it didn't sound like the guy in the video liked his boss? It sounds like he is blaming his boss for taking over 99%?
That crying victim made ME cry. Beautiful video and thank you for trying to expose scammers. It's really sad that folks in India are struggling, but there has to be a better way.
That they are struggling but having a scam that has to do with the social security is something serious
The ENTIRE reason for scams and suicides is A.) Americans are gullible, stoOPid, ignorant, unaware, fools who think they're the BEST which makes them think they're ahead of EVERYONE and so no longer strive to better themselves intellectually, or emotionally, etc, and their awareness is incredibly long. B. Most people are DESPERATE to be liked or get positive attention, friends, compliments, and want to trust everyone or at least most people, so they feel good. That's why if a scammer calls they open up COMPLETELY, in hopes of likes or attention and to make a friend. And C. Capitalism. Capitalism is the reason life is like this for most people, and scammers expose how the system of capitalism is awful and will ALWAYS create scammers, cheaters, liars, greedy people and even friends/family/coworkers BETRAYING, and BACKSTABBING each other for some paper, something NO ONE would do without capitalism.
And lastly, that crying lady. She's so fkn dumb. Shes so gullible and easily fooled. Heck when the guy called her to warn her, she went from trusting the scammer to trusting the Warner. Doesn't matter if the Warner was a good Samaritan, she didn't learn chit because she can't. Just subscribed. I'm 41 and have been in IT for 20ish years. I have seen scam after scam and watched them evolve. I do my part as best as I can every time. For a anyone that doesnt know the phishing scams are usually done from a hijacked mail server from another domain. When an employee gets one of these emails I spend a little time locating that hijacked server. From there I'll find contact info for an executive or a CIO if possible and relay the info. The biggest issue that I see is that most of these hijacked mail servers are from smaller companies that dont have the resources for adequate security andtor IT professionals.
My first experience with this was from the early 2000's. I received an email that looked like it was from ebay. When I clicked the link the page looked like Ebay's page, but the the address was slightly off. They were asking me to verify cc info. I went back to the email and the headers lead me to a website called wheelremote.com. it was a private page for wheel of fortune employees to login and see collaboration. I contacted the number from the page. The guy seemed a little surprised at what I was telling him. He called me back an hour later and told me that they had an old mail server that wasn't being used, but was still active. Their staff checked the server and found that someone had taken control of it and was using it to send the phishing emails. He asked for my address and sent me a whole box of wheel of fortune swag like shirts, keychains, cups, etc.
Many wont go out of their way like that, but I try to do a little good if i can. 5 minutes of my time will likely save a lot of people from these devils. I am glad that there are others out there trying to combat this on their own with youtube. I feel like our government needs to address this with the Indian government and force them to go after these people. After all, they are arrogantly impersonating the US government to defend people.
@@EctoWave awesome choice. Security side of IT has interested me so much over the years and it's getting needed more all of the time. I've focused a lot of time into firewalls recently. Thought about trying to get some security certs and attack that side of the field. I've been on the fence with that and robotics/automation. If course security is huge there also because you wouldnt want some someone taking control of an operation that utilizes automation. Good luck with everything!
That’s awesome what you did! Excellent work. I just posted a comment asking why the feds don’t put serious pressure on the PM in India to shut the illegal call centers down. If India considers US to be an ally, then it would better leverage for us. I know that this is really shaping the opinions many Americans have about Indians, and it’s really a shame.
@@youserguide Not only in America, but this is also happening all over the modern world. I'm in Canada it's here and know it happens in the UK and fairly certain in Australia too. So the pressure should be hard and fast from these governments, but all there is is a small "Taskforce" dedicated to internet fraud. Yet millions of peoples hard earned are going Buybuy.
I have never understood why these scams are not taken more seriously by all governments. We all know they are rampant, yet little is done to stop them. I wonder if the Indian government is making money off of scams? Why else would they care so little about stopping these people that are giving their entire population a bad name?

My God, brought a tear to my eye watching this one. I love these scamming uncovered channels. Thanks for telling the stories that no authority has the man power to deal with!
Hearing that crying woman, makes what u do is extremely important. Keep up the good work. 👏👏👏👏👍
When i get these calls, I just say "send the sheriff and his finest deputy. They'll get their money when they can prove to me they're worth paying my bounty...."
Hey mate, thank you for doing what you do! You are helping a lot of people and you help to uncover the underlying conditions which is never talked about. You are doing your part to make this world a better place.
so true yes yes yes !!!!
Pleasant Green : Lagos,Nigeria Me:Really every single time?
And with this story, you just earned a new subscriber.
About a month ago, I got that exact voice mail at the beginning and I immediately knew it was a scam lol
“I hear them wings are pretty good” LMDAOAOAOAOO I LOVE THIS CHANNEL 😂😂😂
That’s my city, I literally lived just down the road from that house on 800 e south temple. Haha of all the places
Iam an Indian and Iam ashamed of these scammers.. Keep exposing them bro..
I hate to be THAT person, but how do we really know it's not a scam planned by these 2? Steve and Devan.
uhm, are they asking for anything? how would this be a scam
@@StayFractalesque well, last time Ben and the nigerian scammer tried to sell us a book, but the scammer wasn't really reformed and was trying to re-scam Ben
@@StayFractalesque , the way he might be scamming us is that eventually the number of his subs will get revenue from advertisers. These scammers from Idia is a well known thing now. So, maybe, this guy has found a way to make money on the scammers. I'm not making an accusation.....just a thought.
Have seen people scamming the scammers making a fun game of it. We love to watch them. But then I saw at least one of those people asking for viewers to donate on Paetron. This person had more than 30k subbies. If only 10% sent $1, that would be a tidy little sum.
No one on this planet can be completely trusted! Especially those who say they have only the purest of intentions.
In this video someone phones and coning you but a translation in the comment section is saying that this is my old lady I'm not sharing.

Masterpiece. This is the kind of content I love on YT. Great job 👍
Hey that's my house. WTH? You just used my address for this... Well I guess I'm now going to have random mail now...
Wowee what are the chancessssss DIAF.
I have had this call so many times, at least 15 times. As soon as they start talking, I just hang up. I know Social Security does not call any body.
also wow that robotic voice sounds familiar, it sounds like the text to speech voice used in those reddit videos jkdsahflsj
Check out Kitboga on twitch. He scambaits these guys every day live. He has a lot of info on the subject.
Hopefully Steve can find a way out. Sucks that people have to resort to that when the poverty is high
Steve is probably a engineering graduate who is doing this because he can't find a job which earns him a decent pay. There are so many unemployed graduates like Steve on India and one Steve quitting is only gonna be replaced by another one willing to sell his soul and morals for survival. It's a sad story at both ends - the victims as well as the scammer and the big fishes roam around freely in their BMW and Audi with clean hands. This has got to stop and I do hope this is the first step to exactly that.
Even sadder is the fact that a lot of them seem proud to do it. I doubt you'd see much change if the economy changed overnight.
Same country is exploring the moon as you read this. Priorities, India, get yours straight.
@@josephnevin the police dont care either but I wouldn't know since I'm privileged enough to not have to resort to this which most people probably would if they had to
"Everything in India is a scam. There's no legitimate work."
Lmao really? Maybe he meant Kolkata. I've been living in India my entire life and there's jobs everywhere. How are we the 5th largest economy with one of the highest working forces in big Fortune500 companies then?
What an absolutely INCREDIBLE series this has been so far. Thank you for doing this.
This whole things like a documentary!!
It was so good I hope scamming stops
I just got that call and my heart actually dropped lol so glad it was a scam (I didn’t press 1 btw)
What if this is a scam as well! Ah man! Can't trust anyone.
Taylor Fenoglio huh just thought of the same thing
🙄 hoping this comment is a joke
Lolzzzz 😅🤣😂
No I don't think the main guy is a scam I think the guy with the disguised voice is working with the Nigerian guy as a scam. Pay me $100 and we will tell the person it's a scam just feels weird.
@Ryan Rafter or to bring awareness to a new scam.
