- This #filmphotography episode documents days 5 & 6 of my 2019 autumn trip to New England where I photograph the Moss Glen Falls & the Sterling Gorge Falls trail, both which are located just outside of Stowe in Northern Vermont + the famous Flume Gorge in New Hampshire using the #Pentax67 & LeicaM6. All photos were taken with #KodakPortra 160 & 400. This is the 3rd and last episode in my New England mini-series and I wrap up the video by showing some of my favourite medium format & 35mm film photographs.

What? This is fantastic. Only 220 subs? What? Make that another sub.
Honestly, this is so good and polished, I though it was a re-upload of a professional travel show.
I’m need to watch the rest of these videos on your channel.
Michael Seneschal thanks Mike, I really appreciate that and glad you enjoyed watching it. Yes I hope to build the following up a bit over the next few months. I’ll be sticking to this out in the field ‘documentary’ style of video as I really enjoy making them too. I hope to have a new video up soon of where I live here in England by the coast once my film developing lab opens back up. Thanks again, James
I’m so glad I clicked on this ad because seeing the video and all the photos were so worth the watch! Amazing work!
Thanks Eric, appreciate it. Have a good weekend!
Video so calm and amazing shots!! Hats off to you mate.
Thank you mate :)
Really nice shots. Great series of videos. Keep it up!
Fraser West thanks Fraser, have a nice weekend :)
Eh I’m from northfield VT
I came across your video by accident. Wow! Than had the chance to watch all your videos. What a great job you did there. The shots are just fantastic..I love the Pentax 6x7. I wished if you shared some technical information, how you metered the scenes, your settings for these shots..May be too much asking for. Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful body of work. Do you do any post processing/editing, or these picture are right out of the box? Cannot wait to admire more of your videos. Take care
Awesome couple of videos. I’ve followed your Instagram for a long while now. Looking forward to more videos in the future.
As a lifelong New England resident I'd just like to say that you did a magnificent job of documenting this area.
Well done. You found the beauty in the small towns that the twenty first century economy has left behind. When you return to New England you might focus on the abandoned factories many of which were made of brick and even field stones; always built beside a river which they used for power. Really enjoyed these four videos.
Great series of photos, really. Nice channel, I'll definitely follow.
Enhorabuena. Te sigo y espero nuevos videos que me transporten a esos lugares. Saludos
I really liked your video! Your Photography is so polished 👏🏾
I studied in Vermont last year and absolutely loved it. Best study abroad experience ever, specifically for the fall that hits Burlington 🥰
Jacob Pietras loved the place, so many lovely little small towns in between and New Hampshire around the White Mountains was just amazing
Beautiful documentation mate
Jonty Mitchell cheers Jonty
This is phenomenal man!
Nicholas Pilato thanks Nicholas 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Samuel Nicolás Pérez thank you Sam
You have incredible vids
This was beautiful. Amazing images and fantastic documentation. You sir, got yourself a new subscriber
Aidan Bell thanks Aidan
I miss Vermont every day of my life!
Is the mirror effect/reflection of the water just something that naturally happens or something that requires a filter? You did an incredible job on the video and the photos, you should be very proud of these!
Mark thank you Mark, really appreciate the comment and taking the time to watch the videos. The reflections are all natural, I sometimes use polarising filters but I don’t like the way they shift colour so I just shoot everything these days with just the bare lens.
Lovely images and video! I grew up in ew England and have not seen most of these places. So inspired to go back!
Dumpster Child Films thank you, it must have been so nice growing up in NE. I loved the place, I usually go over to Utah and Colorado on photography trips but NE was equally as good
Enjoyed your trip did you have any problem with customs regarding the film?
Stuart Baines thanks Stuart, I asked for a separate search so my film didn’t go thru the scanner...he took them all out of my box and then shone a large torch on them(the 120 film), was so annoyed at the time but they turned out ok. My developer said just put them thru the scanner next time as Portra 160 and 400 never have any issues
Kodak did a sample test and baggage scanners do effect film severely see their
Web site. Hand luggage scanners are less powerful but not flawless.
The torch however 😅🙄
beautiful video as always. I can't wait to see more of your work!
Thanks Rory, Yosemite is up next 🙏🏻
Yup, I’m subbing.
Bry guy cheers Bry 🍻
i really love New England because your vid 😊🤙🏼
I've been waiting for you to show us days 5 and 6! Your cinematography is a welcome escape. Makes me miss chasing waterfalls, especially since most local parks and conversations are closed where I am from. Love the gorge at 5:38
The Unrecorded Photographer thank you, yes you cant beat hiking in the wilderness and then hearing the thunder of a waterfall in the distance :)
Nice trip, good work👏
Lovely place, and great shots!
thanks Ant
Great video, a fantastic record of your trip, and I feel as if I've been myself now! You got some wonderful photographs, the reflected mountain photograph is my favourite.
simon freese thanks Simon, appreciate it. Yes that morning on the lake was amazing with the mist passing through the mountains :)
These were amazing. Both the photos and your video. Especially love that shot with the Tobin bridge on the left from Chelsea. Great photo.
Thanks Rob :)
i would balls this up taking the pictures and then scanning them, and if i made a video at the same time, would be an absolute disaster.
Haha, it’s stressful work for sure! Film scares me too, imagine doing all the videoing and then misplacing you’re film one afternoon! Expensive trip abroad screwed up 🤦🏻♂️
I know that panic feeling all too well and I don't even gamble big like that. Nice work anyway, sure your channel will take off.
Ben Sutton nice one, cheers Ben 🙏🏻
@@JamesDaviesPhotography do a scan video if you can face it. I would do one but it would be unhelpful and confusing 😞
Ben Sutton haha, I’m pretty sure mine will be the same...I get frustrated at the stage of inserting the negs into their holders...always falling on the floor and get dust all over them or putting them in the wrong way round
so glad to watch another video of yours
Thank you Nacho 🙌🏼
beautiful
Thanks Bijan
