I enjoy watching people first time reactions. He hardly had to speak his presence was enough had everybody else talking. These movies only get better. Keanu did all his stunts. The only thing he doesn’t do is get hit by cars or fall down stairs in these series but the shooting and fighting, that’s him.
This was a great movie👍
also, there were some stuntmen doing some of the driving
I also heard he wanted to do ALL the stunts but the director wouldn’t let him for insurance reasons
You're one of the only reviewers I've seen that noticed the dog in the kennel was scheduled to be put down.
Kudos to you, not everyone gets that when Marcus shot at Wick that he was warning him.
Hardly any reactors understand that!

JOHN WICK is the most PURE STORY of FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT!
I like that they have John reloading his weapons, most action movie they seem to have unlimited ammo.
I love how this movie has a massive body count but it’s the loss of the puppy that crushes everyone so much. Of course, that is what was probably intended.
Marcus said yes AFTER he heard the contract was not exclusive - it gave him the cover he needed to run interference for John.
Love seeing your cat sleeping on the bed.
The coins are not currency but a social contract which you learn about later. The number of kilos Francis lost is the number of guards in the club. The dog he saves was going to be put down the next day which you caught but most people don't.
The Francis part is the comment I was looking for. Good eye.
So much attention to detail and yet not one of the people working on this movie googled baba yaga a single time to find out it means Witch after the intern who took one semester of Russian assured them it means Boogeyman.

Fun Fact: Bacon grease was placed on Keanu Reeves' face to attract his dog to jump on him when he wakes up in bed.
PhyAccording to Keanu Reeves, he did 90% of his own stunts in the film. Of course, Reeves learned and memorized the nightclub fight sequence the day that the scene was filmed.
Stealth Adaptation Fact: The security guard who waves Wick onto the airport runway is reading the 1970s thriller novel "Shibumi" by Rod Whitaker, under the pen name Trevanian, also about a retired master assassin dragged back into the game. The story Viggo tells about how Wick once killed three men "with a pencil" is describing a crucial scene from the same novel.
He trained for months for the nightclub fight sequence. There's a video of him looking like he was cos-playing CoD lol, showing the intense amount of gun-fu choreography he had to practice over and over for it.
Keanu's amazing, but even he can't learn that kind of choreography day-of, especially when they're using long-takes and no cuts.

Enjoyed watching your reaction to this movie, I'm sure most of us had the same reaction when we first saw it. This movie is a perfect example of play stupid games and win stupid prizes and was a very fun ride. You should watch the videos about how Keanu Reeves trained for this. He is pretty much a badass with and without guns.
your reaction as you slowly find out who john is and how he is the last person to cross is priceless. to me after killing his dog and stealing his car, with where his mind is, everything he dishes out is just the right amount of vengeance.

They are explained in the third movie. They are not money they represent a social contract not real currency. So you basically got it correct not money but a promise.
They look like Krugerrands. 1 troy oz of gold and they have no denomination, but the value varies with gold prices. They are illegal in most countries due to sanctions against South Africa so can't be spent in legal activities.

All the John Wick movies were more than exceptional...and for another reaction I think you and the audience would really like is the movie called Edge Of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise...no one has reacted to it but its SUCH A GOOD MOVIE!

It is possible that no simpler turn-the-tide phrase has ever been uttered than “Oh.” There was a collectively whispered “oh, shit…“ In the theater.
Man I love seeing peoples first reaction to this BADASS series. I hope youll cover the 2nd and 3rd movie, and eventually the 4th!! I am SOOOOO stoked. I missed these movies in the theatre, but the 4th I will for sure go to see more than once in theatres.
When a RUSSIAN MOB BOSS' reaction to the name John Wick is "Oh," you know somebody just messed up!!
One of the best moments in the film that lets the audience know how big a badass Wick is is the Cop just leaving him alone after seeing the body.

When John called the cleaner and wanted a dinner reservation it was for 12 people not 12 o’clock. The dinner reservation they have to let the cleaner know how many bodies they’re removing.

Someone on another reaction video observed that when Viggo poured Iosef a shot of vodka, it was the low end crap bottom shelf vodka. Even though he poured himself the same, Viggo never drank it and calmly put it back on the bar. Viggo wheeled around and punched his son in the stomach while his stomach was still percolating the cheap vodka. Viggo then goes behind the bar and pours himself the top end vodka in a top end glass meaning that his own son - after what he did to John Wick - was no longer worthy of drinking with him.
This is one of the few series that gets better with each additional movie… so far.
A must see is 1999's "Purgatory" with Sam Shepard, Eric Roberts, Randy Quaid, Peter Stormare, Brad Rowe, and Donnie Wahlberg, You won't forget it!!!

Hello my friend first time watching with you excellent movie excellent series I don't know how you feel about animals but I'm not really giving you a spoiler since I'm late for the party anyway get ready to be mad boy get ready to be mad cuz you love animals you love dogs it's going to really grind your gears if you will. And yeah this is my favorite of all of keanu's movie series I say way better than the Matrix only because the time and Technology if they could have did The Matrix now what today's it might be just as far as John West but John Wick's still awesome the Baba Yaga

I'm not going to give away the movie but in one of the movies John Wick in common have a drink at the bar together and common page for it with a gold coin so 1500 for two drinks that's why I said it just doesn't make sense to me still
The premi-, My only probl-wait, before I get into it, this is an awesome movie! If you haven't seen it, please do. Having said that...There's just one small minor detail that I have a hard time with; everyone knows who John Wick is, except the bosses son? Seriously? His father never mentioned the past of the organization at all ever? Its..well, unbelievable. Sorry. Cool movie(s) though.
