I wonder if it will be any benefits of using it on 10 scale axle monster truck?) At the moment I use 550 can 12t motor....feels nice :)) Thanks for video!!
The esc that I swapped in was a Holmes BRXL. Performance wise there is no real tangible difference, infact the 1080 runs much quieter. The only reason I changed over to the Holmes is that it just offers a bit more tuning and also datalogging, I did it just out of curiosity and for experimentation purposes.
Thanks, The jx servo is ok. It respectable and affordable but just not quite as strong. slow crawling is fine but anything faster like trail bashing or bouncing, I began to run into durability issues.
I run the 11t Crawlmaster Magnum 540. I have personally not seen or used a better quality or smoother motor. The brake is insanely strong and it is extremely slow. I run 3s and it has never been hot. And yes, it is stupidly expensive (175$). But it's every bit as controllable as my 3300kv Axe system. But I still wouldn't mind trying one of those on the new build I have underway.
Yeah I could imagine the magnum would be a dream to drive, I still can't justify the price yet, for now... XD I've heard good things about the AXE, especially the V2. I think that'll probably be my next purchase!
@@CRCG_00 it's a pretty awesome combo to be sure. Easy to program to. I haven't had a single issue with mine. I got the 550 cause my rig is fairly heavy. You can't go wrong with one.
@@rchobbies4479 your gearing might be higher? you can also try messing with the Expo on your radio if it has the options to get lower/ less sensitive input on start up.
I was comparing it to a magnum. And yes, it's not just a copy of the team brood motors it's the same, just different coloured can. Team brood had been selling rebranded motors for a while.
I'd say it wouldn't hurt to try it out, it's by no means the best built motor but like I said it's got a surprising amount of torque and is crawls well for the price
It's just plug an play really. Your ESC will also play a significant part in the smoothness of the start up. Something like the hobbywing 1080 will be perfect
How does the engine work after a year of use? are you going to make a video about it again?

I have the surpass 80a esc and 550 5 slot 10 turn motor. I really like the set up especially for how cheap it is.
What esc did you change out, what was the one you put in after the 1080 and which performed better

What is your experience with this particular JX servo?
BTW..the diameter is 28mm , not 20mm ;)

Hi,
what is the diameter of the comm?
Thanks!

@@shadow7796 you have a Magnum 550 ?? were did you get those ??
@@themountain59 the 550 was refering to the AXE I think. i would love too see a 550 magnum though, jsut imagine the amout of torque that would have.
I installed my kit, does the quality of the radio influence the result?
To an extent yes, but modern 2.4ghz radio are all pretty good even a cheap flysky won't really have a negative effect motor control

Nice motor ! 👌
It isn't Crawlmaster Pro copy. It is Team brood Djinn's copy. Really good copy.

@@CRCG_00 yeah! I bought some cheap team brood motors and there were armature named SURPASS🤣🤣
What's the difference between v1 and v2 versions?
The v1 had 4 magnets while the v2 only had 2. The 4 magnet set up of the V1 was a strange design decision, it made less torque and was less efficient.
perfect, i need a kit to turn the wheels of an scx10ll slowly and continuously, can you recommend this product?

No epoxy on the armature?, Insta-fail for anyone that wants a long lasting motor.
