Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes is a crossover fighting game developed and published by Capcom. It is the third installment in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, which features characters from Capcom's video game franchises and characters from Marvel Comics. The game debuted in Japanese and North American arcades in 1998. It was ported to the Dreamcast in 1999 and the PlayStation in 2000. The game was re-released in 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as part of the Marvel vs. Capcom Origins collection.
Players select a team of characters from the Marvel and Capcom universes to engage in combat and attempt to knock out their opponents. Unlike the series' previous entry, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, the game features characters from numerous Capcom video game franchises, rather than strictly Street Fighter characters. While the gameplay is largely identical to its predecessor, Clash of Super Heroes features two distinct changes: the removal of the traditional character assist system and the introduction of the "Variable Cross" attack.
The Dreamcast version of the game was praised for its visuals, gameplay, and translation of the original arcade experience. For the PlayStation version, Capcom removed tag team battles due to the console's limited RAM capacity in an attempt to preserve the main game's speed and graphical integrity. Consequently, the PlayStation port received slightly less positive reviews than the Dreamcast version. A sequel, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, was released in 2000.

I think this game is tied for X-Men: Children of The Atom for best endings out of any MVC series game.

I love the attention to detail that these endings had. I wish the later games had endings on this level. I guess Marvel 3 had some good ones, at least.

2:03-2:38 That was so sad and yet noble seeing Captain America sacrifice his life to save the world and finish Onslaught once and for all
Jin fans had it damn awful in this game's endings... First there's the possibility that he dies in his own ending (just like Shade did at the end of Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness), and if that's not bad enough, in Shadow Lady's ending, he's tossed around by M. Bison like Wolfgang Krauser tossed around Joe Higashi and is subsequently turned into a cyborg by Shadow Lady (Chun-Li) & Shadow (Charlie Nash) after that. Good lord, I wonder how Devilotte would've reacted if she saw Shadow Jin...
Also, 3:38 is actually a reference to Spider-Man & Venom: Maximum Carnage!

The Boss Onslaught fusion of Xavier, Magneto and Apocalypse fusion is amazing and very creative, maybe he may reappear just like apocalypse in a version the size of the other selectable players playable in a remake or new version of marvel vs capcom, x men vs street fighter, marvel vs street fighter or xmen children of the atom 2 or one other subtitle!
This is the BEST fighting game of all time! This game had it all! This isn't an opinion or debate. It's a fact😂❤

Most of the Capcom Helper characters, their home games can be played on Switch like Three Wonders and forgotten Worlds.
Silver Samurai's ending:
He meditates when he is interrupted by Vega (Claw) who offers to conscript him and his clan into Shadaloo. Silver Samurai and Vega fight until M. Bison (Dictator) shows he has Mariko as a hostage. Silver Samurai has to make a choice....
Who should've been Helpers:
Yamato (one of the Captain Commando bosses), Sagat (Tiger Raid), The Scorpion (Astro), Johnny (one of the Battle Circuit bosses, Come On Baby rocking explosion attack)
I wanna see Shonen Magazine vs. Capcom on Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S. Like MVC, it should come with callouts for Hyper Combo Finish and the Hyper Combo names for coup de grace.
Biggest problem with MVC2 was lack of endings.
I hate when they don't even put in endings

I would have accepted no endings if they didn't go with the worst soundtrack for a fighting game lol. But I do agree that was also a big bummer.

Nice cool endings the shadow characters ending linked to america captain, nash charlie, shunli and jin is one prelude to a sequence, one of my favorites character no playable that appears at the end of Ken, or former favorite now Necali is very cool too maybe in some new game Sean really gets a new special, the speed and damage in the special and the bar increasing are always a facilitator can make the fight fast or slow and with the weather more boring than funny more than match a wave yet, but great game and entertainment!

I honestly didn't even know about that one. I did manage to get the Mega Man easter egg in my "every MVC super" video. Only on the PS1 version, he can actually use Magnetic Shockwave after getting his ending.
Back in the day, I used to rent this a lot, and I read about how to play as Onslaught. He was so deadly to play as. I think his ending was the same as Orange Hulk and Orange Venom.

Nearly half of these don't even have anything to do with this being a crossover. That's not just laziness, that's creative bankruptcy.
At least they didn't just give everyone a "Congratulations!" screen and nothing else ... looking at you, MVC2 and MVCi
It might have been a problem with storage. Since this game was made for arcades, they had to cut as many corners as possible. That and possible time constraints. This was a crazy era for games.
Relax, CapCom was fine in the 90's... And this comes from someone who was a teen back then and was there 👑
