“Perfect eggs every time”...except this time 🤣🤣🤣

  • @kbkesq

Put it in enough water and you don’t even have to poke the yokes. Also you can add seasonings into the egg before cooking which is cool. Like everything bagel seasoning or cayenne or black pepper garlic powder etc.
Trick is to learn your own microwave power. Undercook then go up in 5 second increments. Once you learn the setting it’s same every time like McDonald’s! 😂
And thanks for look to f out they are Made in USA.

Be honest. You were hoping he would have forgotten to puncture the yolks...BOOM....
Seriously, this poucher works great. I have one. I would recommend rubbing the inside of the empty wells with margarine or use a non-stick cooking spray to make the eggs 'slide out' easier after cooking...

The problem is the yolks are hard, I like mine soft. The solution to the exploding eggs is that you have cooked them for to long, The water has evaporated so they eggsplode. Solution is to add more water than they say and/or not cook them for so long? Try 45 Seconds next time, You can always cook for another 15 seconds if they need them but go for a shorter cooking time and let them stand.

You can change the cooking power level of your microwave, as well. I get very enjoyable results, using my (whatever?) brand 'stoacher' (steam and poach) thingy.
Gotta be consistent with size of eggs and experiment with power level and time - also, figure out how long you need to NOT DISTURB the AFTER-MICROWAVING eggs-in-stoacher.
You CAN perfect this method to result in extremely satisfying eggs (to your taste!) done in your microwave. I speak from experience. Less cleanup, less time.

I just pulled mines out of the cupboard, dusted it off and gave it a good scrubby. The trick, is no trick. Drop your eggs in, fill rest with water, DONT STAB THE EGGS!! I sprinkled my eggs with garlic salt. Put in the micro for 45 seconds, rest for 15 seconds, check, mine needed another 15 seconds and a rest while I sparked up 2 pork sausage patties, the whole thing slid out onto my pork sausage, yum! Its not that hard to do. I like mine barely running or half done yolks.

I've had one of these for ages, its hard to get the egg yolk runny, usually by the time the white is cooked , the middle is hard.

Yeah. 1100 watt microwave - 2 large eggs (not extra large not medium) with 1/2 tsp water added to bottom of 'bowls' before plopping in the eggiewegs - sea-level altitude - zap for 65 seconds @ 80% power - let stand for 30 seconds to finish cooking.
That works for me. Nice 'stoached' eggs (steamed and poached, you see what I did there?)

I found one of these while unpacking after I moved recently. Didn't have any directions or packaging so this video was very helpful. My father in law bought us a microwave that looks like it's fit for a restaurant!!! It has higher wattage than any recipe so I did 2 eggs at 49 seconds and the top exploded open! lol!! definitely going to go with less time next time but it's very useful because I make my husband egg and cheese on a roll every night so while his coffee is brewing and he's getting ready for work he just warms it up for the hour ride to the city. It's such a time/money saver to stopping at Tim Hortons or DDonuts so this will be my new best friend. Not sure what your contents are to your videos but I'm subscribing due to this straightforward to the point and helpful video. Thanks!!

I have a different approach and achieve nice whites and liquid yolks. For one extra large egg, I crack the egg, pour the white only into the poacher (separate white from yolk using the two shell halves) and cook the white on full power for 9 or 10 seconds. Remove from oven and dump yolk in with white and cook full power for another 20 seconds or so. Time should be adjusted for different MW ovens and two eggs at once. Tastes great on corn bread, toast, pancakes or waffles. Fast cook and clean-up.

different settings on different microwaves will cause the eggs to cook longer or shorter I have a 700w microwave and I had to put it in there for a minute and 20 seconds and they turned out perfect but I still had to keep checking periodically to see if the eggs were it's a good little gadget have

Had better luck putting the whole thing in a large pot w/boiling water . . . microwaves suck at short cooking times. Best for re-heating coffee and making a cup of hot water for bullion or tea. The frequency was chosen for the water molecule, not long chain proteins.

Looks awful. Just cook them in a small glass bowl in the microwave, just covered with warm, not hot water. A little white vinegar and salt help to quickly denature the protein in the white, so it holds together. 1 minute in most microwaves usually works fine for a slightly runny yolk, depending on what size your bowl and egg are. Another hint: unless you know when those eggs were laid, and they are fresh ( less than a week old ) the proteins in the whites will separate, causing a feathery white layer around your poached egg. You want a completely firm white. The solution with less-than-fresh eggs is to slide them into a small fine mesh sieve and allow the thinner white material to drain off for fifteen or twenty seconds, then slide the egg into the water in your bowl. Voila! Firm white surrounds your yolk.
