@@t.s.9656 What is the problem? These tires are intended to be used mainly on agricultural tractors, at such low speeds... they perfectly adapt to the needs of this country, whose population honestly struggles to earn a decent living...

That was a lot of work and three men put time into it. In the U.S., a standard farm tractor rear retread runs from about 70-120 bucks. As stated, that takes time and manpower with materials. I just love this stuff and what they can do. However, @6:15 I am very concerned that they apply the bonding rubber and fail to roll out the air pockets/bubbles. That will cause issues with the vulcanizing/bonding process and cause weak sections.
@@genehunsinger3981 Well Gene, the USA has sophisticated retreading process's that are basically performed the same way for applications like Trucking, Mining and Farming. So I'd suggest you do a bit of research and then you just may have a bit of appreciation for these hard workers!

Personally I have to believe with the skill and ability these people show they know how to do the job correctly but they rather choose to do the job just good enough to get buy. I as a person whom has worked as a trade tire retread for over 30 years has never seen this love to know where they get a new tread that just fits and old tire , it would last the 12 months and no more than that once the tread get too low as all the strength goes out of it.
@@genehunsinger3981 It's another whole tire just with the sidewalls cut out. It's not just the tread like they cut off the carcass at the start. It would seem this is something they commonly do. So why would they have so many tires with blown sidewalls? I've gone through a hundred tractor rears and never blown a sidewall. Never heard of one either. Maybe they are changing it for a different diameter rim?
They may not have the best of safety gear and do work it would take many machines to do in a modern country with the best of safety gear respirators steel toed boots gloves extractor fans etc etc but one thing is apparent, THEY ARE HAPPY IN THEIR WORK.

So they thoroughly clean the inside of the tread casing, then throw the exposed rubber cement sheets on the dirty sidewall? 👍🏻
You know it, thats the flashing blue light Friday special , saves the farmers 79 cents, but only on Fridays between the hours of 1 and 2 pm .
@@mhenhawke5093 with the level of dirt and dirty hands it's a wonder that anything sticks.
It's for a slow moving tractor so I guess they can get away with it.
si sabes tanto por qué no lo haces?
@@andresbonet2011 Well, I suppose if I were recapping tires, I would.
That rubber in the sheets is called Butyl Rubber, it is natural rubber that in inner casing is made of, it is sticky but adds no strength, that tire is unsafe at any speed

These guys are wonderful! Besides all, environmentally correct... congrats to all of them !
you wouldn't use a retread like this on your car in a million years and you know it. So get off your environmental high horse.
@@t.s.9656 What is the problem? These tires are intended to be used mainly on agricultural tractors, at such low speeds... they perfectly adapt to the needs of this country, whose population honestly struggles to earn a decent living...
Environmentally correct ? Did you notice all the garbage strewn about ? There is nothing wonderful or environmentally correct about what they do.
@@CaptHollister Is is t better the whole or a part to be discarded? Besides it, the core of the tire doesn't need neither raw material neither energy to be build.
@@louispaxeco6931 Contrary to what you seem to believe, retreading implement and truck tires is widely practiced in all developed nations. The difference is that in developed nations it is done in clean, environmentally controlled factories that are safe for their workers. When it comes to ecology and the environment Pakistan looks the other way. There is a reason why it is one of the worst polluters per capita in the world. As for worker safety, this video speaks for itself.
É um trabalho exaustivo. E fazem milagres com os poucos recursos que têm. Parabéns!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Wow, My best friend, Thank you for your hard work in making the video. I enjoyed the good video. Have a happy day.
you will make boo-koo social points if you duplicate this in your town!!!
That was a lot of work and three men put time into it. In the U.S., a standard farm tractor rear retread runs from about 70-120 bucks. As stated, that takes time and manpower with materials. Too bad they probably don't make much money on it. These are good hard-working guys and I wish them all the best.
And that ladies and gentlemen, is why you need to get your tires balanced when fitting them.

The machinery they have in India are amazing and so good and they last 1000 years

this partly explains the large number of road accidents in this country. But I remain impressed by the ingenuity of these people.
These are tractor tyres for working on the land at slow speeds, not for motorway driving, that would be asking a little too much ;-)))))

I just love this stuff and what they can do. However, @6:15 I am very concerned that they apply the bonding rubber and fail to roll out the air pockets/bubbles. That will cause issues with the vulcanizing/bonding process and cause weak sections.
that's an old Indian trick to get more repeat custumers, and gravy.
@@genehunsinger3981 Well Gene, the USA has sophisticated retreading process's that are basically performed the same way for applications like Trucking, Mining and Farming. So I'd suggest you do a bit of research and then you just may have a bit of appreciation for these hard workers!
@@lisab3396 interesting that at first you are concerned about how these men have not rolled the bonding rubber out to eliminate air bubbles but then are defending the quality of their workmanship when someone else is agreeing with you by making a joke (admittedly a rather poor joke) about why they took a shortcut and did not roll out the bonding rubber
@@gullreefclub Gull, it seems as though you have confused Appreciation and Tenacity of Hard Workers with Quality or Lack Of. Now if only they were to improve the application process???
@@lisab3396 I understand this is a late reply but having been a mechanic for for the better part of thirty years and only stopped working as one because of a life changing injury I fully appreciate the hot grueling hard work of others but hard work without taking pride in the job you do to take the time to do the job to the right is not tenuous it’s called being a shortcut artist and you are the one who originally made the comment about these men not taking the time to do the job correctly. Personally I have to believe with the skill and ability these people show they know how to do the job correctly but they rather choose to do the job just good enough to get buy. That said I admit I could be wrong but unless either were to actually go to shop and ask the men working we actually don’t know so that said I can see your point of view but don’t necessarily agree with it. I hope you are having a good day and wish you a better tomorrow.

Pakistan super creative and genius
I as a person whom has worked as a trade tire retread for over 30 years has never seen this love to know where they get a new tread that just fits and old tire , it would last the 12 months and no more than that once the tread get too low as all the strength goes out of it.
looks like they got it off of another used tire. One that likely had a blown sidewall.
12 month my friend I’m sure this tire won’t even hold the 100 plus PSI before blows
That is the beauty of bias ply tire tire casing it is much more compilable and resilient than a belted radial tire casing
@@sakuraturbo3364 100 PSI?!?!? Try 28
They may not have the best of safety gear and do work it would take many machines to do in a modern country with the best of safety gear respirators steel toed boots gloves extractor fans etc etc but one thing is apparent, THEY ARE HAPPY IN THEIR WORK.
Pretty sure they're doing this for money. Give them enough and they'll quit in an instant. Like most people who work.
3:00 sooooo, and where exactly is THIS outer tread from?? since it is obviously not a new one. If you cut that also from an inner casing, then the whole process doesn't make any sense at all, or not? lol
lots of GO-ril-LA glue is used. And they hope and pray alot, and they take a sandwich along.

I guess there's no need to glue the whole tread on, when the dirt and dust between the tyre and the tread will do
a lot of people think that repaired tires can't be used for long, If that's the case, they're closed and no one will use their services. There's a chance it will last 6 months.

Repaired or retreaded? There's a difference between the two.
Here in the US we do both, but at some point you have to put limits in place!
It's a tractor tyre to fit on a slow moving pulling device, not a maserati.
@@robinstuyvesant7187 it's for a farm tractor, made for low speed pulling in dirt, mud, snow.
Can you buy the new profile that they are glueing to the old tyre from tyre manufacture, or were do these guys get them from?

They buy it from the guy down the street who makes them out of melted sneakers.
