- I've got a brand new Rodecaster Pro 2, and I'm going to take it for a spin.

Seems like a fairly even mix of features from NI Maschine and Akai APC40 mkii plus a Focusrite Clarett in one platform. Neat.

Excellent upgrade! But I’m still getting used to the first one because I just got it. Is it possible to record live instruments into the RODECaster Pro one with an XLR adapter?

Silly question. I’ll be producing a podcast using the rodecaster pro, but NOT actually “on-air” talking into a mic. I’ll just behind the scenes. How do I monitor the line mix out of the roadcaster? The headphone outputs align with the mic inputs. But I won’t have a mic. Will the host use the headphone one I put on the back of the unit and I’ll use the headphone Jack on the front of the unit? And I’ll hear all line outputs?

Does this have CRM, so control room monitors cut when mic turned on?

Uhh so beautiful the Rcp II ! I have a positive envy to you! But the best boom arm….ok rode psa1+ is one of the best,but the very best is yellotec mika a german company 10 steps forward psa1+. Best regards

1st let me say I LOVE the Rodecaster pro But I think I am the only person who hated the pro 2, I had so many issues with mine from the firmware downloads, my monitors would cut in and out. I had to reset the firmware so the monitors worked. I had terrible sound when recorded. I had both Rodecasters next to each other on the same sound set-up, and the older one was much better. I have been producing podcasts for 8 years now and I was so stoked to get the pro 2 but soooo disappointed in it. I sent it back to Sweetwater for 2 Zoom mixers. the podTrak mixer and the L8. Pretty much for the same price. Not going to lie the main thing i hated was that there was not a producer headphone plug-in like the pro. Since i produce and usually have 4 podcasters on set. 5 of us with 4 headphone plug-ins. For the love of god will someone make a video saying this thing sucks balls..
Now I'm trying to justify the upgrade to an already awesome product. Anyone need a Rode Caster Pro for a good price? LOL
