I've read it, it definitely has the most somber ending yet. I think stardust crusaders surpasses it slightly as it was pivotal to the series esteem. It's arguably on par with Golden Wind.
There are SFX versions of those first two opening songs that’s re slightly different if your interested. Also there are plenty of very good themes to go along with them

8:10 stands on parts 8-9 are very different from previous parts stands tho (and part 7 also includes other fighting abilities outside of stands, only one of the main characters has a stand), they tend to be more strange and non humanoid in design and have more complex, specific or utility based abilities. I don’t think a single main character from part 9 has a humanoid stand, like the main jojos’ stands are a spider robot thing that makes shit rain and 3 tiny robots that can move things around like the letters in a license plate or the wound in a body (to even outside the body, effectively healing them)
I completely agree with the statement that anime is a better experience than manga. Because think about when Avdol and Iggy died(r.i.p.) you probably wouldn’t have cried reading the manga

I personally recommend the manga. I genuinely think it's good enough to justify not waiting for the anime. I say the same things about Chainsaw Man. Those 2 are just top 5 favorite manga for me, so I'm obviously biased 😅
