The game is kinda designed that way. Lots of different ways to play with tech to optimize each bit of it. I know absolutely nothing about syndicate, for instance. People tend to learn enough to get comfy playing their way and then stick in that lane for a while. Nothing wrong with that
There is always a triangle: "chaos per divine", "chaos price for X", and "divine price for X" where X is some bulk of currency/resonator/essence/scarub/etc. When I am bored with grinding, I sometimes flip the X and take advantage of the price difference. It's not as profitable per se, but the return increases when the bulk gets bigger, and the risk is 0%. It's just like saving money in the bank and gaining interest.
90% of the time that's exactly what I do. Easy profit, and it's almost seamless with gameplay. No requirement to stop and do 300 tasks before selling, just keep playing, tab is getting a little full, sell. Weirdly enough though, one of my few exceptions was flipping Brass Domes this league. I'm unsure if it was because of Pohx or someone else, but at week 3 to about the end of month 2, Brass Domes were going out for over 8div, with shit rolls going for lower than what he's showing. Profits were ridiculous.
@@davidmaltais2912 Righteous Fire builds vanish fast. They are good for making money early in the league, but get outclassed really fast as the days pass. Since Brass Domes were going out mostly for them, it's understandable that the price is in the gutter. Specially with the market being flooded.
@@hitlord yeah you need to do some market research but it's not hard really. look up the most popular builds and look through the gear for something like this. 6-link is gonna be the thing that lets you do the flip most time so focus on those. also poe ninja is great for doing this.
I love this sort of content, but also don’t because when I’m a little bored of playing, but wanna make currency I always go straight for strats like this. Made about 140div the last 2days just buying div cards and then selling the end product in bulk. Another thing that is always worth checking it wether or not +1 to socketed gems is a worthwhile corrupt on certain popular items. Since +1 can roll on any item and only requires a item level of 1, getting div cards of unique items such as The Squire, and then turning them in with a level 2 character l, means that you have and 1-5 chance for corruption implicit to roll +1. And 2/5 chance if you are double corrupting. Things like these will go from very profitable for a few days to not profitable at all, but there is always another market. Great content
im in act 8 now.. new player but just wondering how hard is it to farm for just the materials? am i still early in the game cause they dont seem to drop very often, orb of fusing, divine, etc

I like to spend time buying individual div cards that give a valuable unique. I was spending about 2-3d on the div cards for voidforges and then selling the voidforge for 6-8d. Takes a while but I play on the console so I can submit buy requests and go about playing.
I think I'm finally wrapping my head around tainted currency. I need to study what the most popular uniques to corrupt are next. Biggest problem are 98% of the uniques are bad that nobody uses.
As a new player, how do I know which uniques or stats are valuable for selling? I find that overwhelming and I kinda want to start playing ssf or ruthless, so that every drop is special

I know it does for thr regular version but i thought it was a flat chance (50/50) to add or remove, unless there's new data out. Either way if you are someone wanting to corrupt I personally think the best method is double corrupting. For this, after you 3:1 and have a roll you want to keep: 1. Before corrupting, make it 6 sockets, and 4linked to save a couple vaals later. I suggest bench crafting 6S, if you are using Jewelers get 20quality first though ( Bench is slightly more expensive but spending on average ~100 Jewelers more is well worth the time saved) 2. Double corrupt 3. Use tainted fuse as described in video (Benchcraft 4Link, tainted fuse to 6Link and if you hit a 3Link Restart this step) This way you get a slight value increase if you hit all white sockets on the double corrupt.
Quality doesn't affect tainted. The reason we beast craft is because it doesn't risk bricking the item. It just sets the item to corrupted for no risk which allows us to use tainted currency for a cheap 6 link. This is a general mid tier strategy with near zero risk. As soon as you introduce something like double corrupting we are into a higher tier of risk versus reward which turns off most folks and many people can't afford to buy into it either.
I did a ton of 3 to 1 for gigantic profit back when To Dust wasn't a corruption-only jewel (in 3.18/3.19 mostly, when ward loop was very popular). Random jewels were costing me 40-60c, and a well rolled one was selling for anywhere between 6 and 10 div. I have also done Brass Dome but the profit is usually a bit lower overall.

easiest currency in the game is setting a notification when a Mathil build video drops. Immediately buy any rare-but-affordable uniques for that build, wait a week, profit ;)
Agree that this is cheap way to get 6L, I'm using it mostly on good double corrupt items. Don't forget that you can run into a bad streak with this, and you'll need alot of vaal orbs, which is around 1:1c, early in the league even 1.5 or 2c, and 2 fuses is quite lucky, as from my sample I usually hit it in 4-5
There's a reason why all the richest standard league players still play temp leagues and then flip once it merges. The economy is just too old and stagnant to reliably do any arbitrage there.

I think the point of the video was that you can do this with every unique or so. So if you have 3 vendor gambles with bad rolls, sell those and get a new one... For example. That video also can help people in SSF to remind them about the 3 of the same item vendor recipe.

Also, as a sidenote, it's probably cheaper to start at 3 sockets rather than 4, considering tainted jewellers are so cheap. But that's nitpicking. Definitely also watch out for corrupted uniques with nice rolls or cool implicits to 6-link. There's Hyrri's Ires with +2 aura or +2 aoe that can easily be 6-linked and turned a profit on. Similarly, Incandescent Heart is all about the extra chaos damage, Loreweave is all about the max res roll, and there are more... Melding of the Flesh comes to mind.
@@subtractem ok, lets do some math. you can buy about 5-10 of them for your 30c. others will cost more than 30c, 30-100c, market dont have enough chests to abuse this over and over again. lets say you'd pay 40c for each chest. 40*3*5(avg to hit +5)=600c=2.4 divine. your profit will be about 150c for each 15 chests you bought. lets say you'd buy 2 chests per minute(most of the time you can buy only 1 per min, buy let it be like that) - 7.5 min for profit 150c. you can do it 8 times a hour - 1200c profit per hour - 5.8 div in a hour. is this much for anyone? given that the armor is quickly running out on the market, it's not worth the time already.
at the moment i text you this there are only 6 chests for 40c on market, others even more costly. ofc you can lifesearch for them but man, i'd better resell some omni and ashes: 2 trades 1-5 div profit, instead of 15 trades for 150c xD
@@subtractem actually you'll have even more, i forgot about 1 chest you have left after every 3to1 trade to vendor, so, lets say you'll have about 7.8-8div/hour with this. And with this numbers this really looks good for most players even for 3div chest price. Sorry for my scepticism about this, im already a lot above this numbers in every day profit. But hell yea, this strat is still great for most people
ngl i hate this. I hate that the best way to earn currency often boils down to this market watch shit. I've gotta have a macro or plugin to see what everything is worth and 2 tabs open with the trade site and poe ninja so i can see currency values. Its an rpg not a market sim. why can't the best way to get currency be playing the game. the only point where playing the game seems to be the best way to get currency is when you are already established and are juicing maps and have an insane speedclear character. at which point your progression and character is probably done.
I queried some folks and cross referenced with what is out there, it's at least 30% if not 50%. I know it's been extensively tested to be 50% on fusings but jeweller's I'm not sure if there is enough data yet but even at 30% (which is what the wiki says) it's more than fine.

The point is if it will sell. Even the hottest items won't sell due to too many suppliers. Cold hard currency drops is the key not this short-term bull crap.
With how cheap jewellers are at this point of the league i’m pretty sure its worth to 6 socket item first before you corrupt it since every failed attempt at 50-50 is like minimum 10c from the vaals, not to mention cost of tainted jewellers
Ill spend 10c on a 50/50 rather than sitting and spamming fuses for god knows how long. And thats why you are still slamming fusings so you can save 10/20c while he is already moving onto the next item he is gonna sell for multiple divine profit.

Did you just spam tainted fusings over and over? This method requires using the 4 linked recipe between each tainted fusings because of the greater chance to jump from 4 to 5 and from 5 to 6

I've *NEVER* in 5000+ hr playtime 6-linked a normal Item (q20%+) with less than 2,5k orb of fusing. I usually sell my fusings to buy an already 6-linked item. It's usualy cheaper ... :/

Thought imo it’s better to just buy a 6 link chest you need a unique, most are dirt cheap if you don’t need perfect rolls. Only time I ever care about 6 linking my chest myself is if I find one with perfect rolls and/or a good implicit for cheap.
Just to make a thing clear. Yes. Everybody has the change to become rich. But not everyone can be rich. For a successful economy you need a small group who earns alot, a big group who consumes alot but isnt pasrticular rich and a poor group. If everyone would be rich then we would have an inflation.

If everyone has everything they need instantly (which would be the case if everyone would be equally "rich") then nothing would have value at day 2 of that Szenario because everyone would have gotten everything at that point.

nah dude first roll +5 and then you 6link with 2 fusings. Streamer client has never been so obvious. Tbf you could have deleted a full divine here to account for bad luck and still turned a very good profit. Maybe next league I will try the hideout warrior build
average cost is east to find- 1/5 chance, with 1st try costing 90c and subsequent tries costing 60c (because you get 1 item back per try). - 1/5 chance of hitting +5, so it's 90c + 60c + 60c + 60c + 60c = 330c to get a +5 worth 3 div (750c). - with average luck, over many attempts, 330c per 5 attempts, or long term about 40c profit per brass dome bought @ 30c. if you want a formula to plug future values in to test profitability*: (x - 11y) / 11 = profit in chaos per brass dome bought, where x = cost in chaos of +5 brass dome y = cost in chaos of each brass dome bought
If you wanna go big gamba on this Forbidden Shako and Ventor's are two nutso uniques that can give some fffffffat returns. It's a big risk, so only do these if you're prepared to vendor a TON without a single one coming back as usable, and also be prepared to paruse a ton of results before figuring out which ones are worth selling and which aren't. Safer (and probably better) to stick to stuff like Melding, Brass domes, Tastes of Hate, Dawnbringers and the like, though. Just make sure 3 min rolls aren't too close to a max or near max roll, though.

Brass Dome is mostly used by VG players this league who use Zerk tech, where you can't have corrupt items
Naw, I just looked and VG only represents 16% of Brass Dome usage. It's something good to be aware of before you corrupt though, yes.
There are like 10 meta builds and many other that use brass dome. It is an amazing defense item that can be slammed into a lot of builds.

Do ppl really pay attention if their armours have well rolled base values these days or very few pay attention to that
It's still not noticed a ton but it can make the difference in some sorting on the trade site.
I've done this hundreds times when +5 brass dome was 5 divines. Now i'd not recommend it, not worth time spent
At 3d each with only a 90c buy in with divines at 250c I think this is still very much worth the effort!
@@subtractem ok, lets do some math. you can buy about 5-10 of them for your 30c. others will cost more than 30c, 30-100c, market dont have enough chests to abuse this over and over again. lets say you'd pay 40c for each chest. 40*3*5(avg to hit +5)=600c=2.4 divine. your profit will be about 150c for each 15 chests you bought. lets say you'd buy 2 chests per minute(most of the time you can buy only 1 per min, buy let it be like that) - 7.5 min for profit 150c. you can do it 8 times a hour - 1200c profit per hour - 5.8 div in a hour. is this much for anyone? given that the armor is quickly running out on the market, it's not worth the time already.
at the moment i text you this there are only 6 chests for 40c on market, others even more costly. ofc you can lifesearch for them but man, i'd better resell some omni and ashes: 2 trades 1-5 div profit, instead of 15 trades for 150c xD

@@subtractem actually you'll have even more, i forgot about 1 chest you have left after every 3to1 trade to vendor, so, lets say you'll have about 7.8-8div/hour with this. And with this numbers this really looks good for most players even for 3div chest price. Sorry for my scepticism about this, im already a lot above this numbers in every day profit. But hell yea, this strat is still great for most people
ngl i hate this. I hate that the best way to earn currency often boils down to this market watch shit. I've gotta have a macro or plugin to see what everything is worth and 2 tabs open with the trade site and poe ninja so i can see currency values. Its an rpg not a market sim. why can't the best way to get currency be playing the game. the only point where playing the game seems to be the best way to get currency is when you are already established and are juicing maps and have an insane speedclear character. at which point your progression and character is probably done.

I queried some folks and cross referenced with what is out there, it's at least 30% if not 50%. I know it's been extensively tested to be 50% on fusings but jeweller's I'm not sure if there is enough data yet but even at 30% (which is what the wiki says) it's more than fine.

@@lolleonlolable would have to check the tags on the ability in poedb. Possible it counts as a spell and isn't supportable.

With how cheap jewellers are at this point of the league i’m pretty sure its worth to 6 socket item first before you corrupt it since every failed attempt at 50-50 is like minimum 10c from the vaals, not to mention cost of tainted jewellers
Ill spend 10c on a 50/50 rather than sitting and spamming fuses for god knows how long.
And thats why you are still slamming fusings so you can save 10/20c while he is already moving onto the next item he is gonna sell for multiple divine profit.

The purpose of this video isn't doing specifically the brass dome right now, it's knowing that this is a strategy to take advantage of later. Write it down in a notebook and use it later when people forget.

You also need a shitton of luck. I've tried to 6-link a chest this league with this method and burned 25 (!!!) tainted orb of fusing until I hit it.
Did you just spam tainted fusings over and over? This method requires using the 4 linked recipe between each tainted fusings because of the greater chance to jump from 4 to 5 and from 5 to 6

I've *NEVER* in 5000+ hr playtime 6-linked a normal Item (q20%+) with less than 2,5k orb of fusing. I usually sell my fusings to buy an already 6-linked item. It's usualy cheaper ... :/
@@DocKotoga Well, if you just want a guaranteed 6-link, the recipe is only 1500. Thought imo it’s better to just buy a 6 link chest you need a unique, most are dirt cheap if you don’t need perfect rolls.
Only time I ever care about 6 linking my chest myself is if I find one with perfect rolls and/or a good implicit for cheap.

Just to make a thing clear. Yes. Everybody has the change to become rich. But not everyone can be rich. For a successful economy you need a small group who earns alot, a big group who consumes alot but isnt pasrticular rich and a poor group.

If everyone has everything they need instantly (which would be the case if everyone would be equally "rich") then nothing would have value at day 2 of that Szenario because everyone would have gotten everything at that point.

5 things. 1 one of them is the desired outcome (5). Probability is 1/5 (desired/all).

average cost is east to find- 1/5 chance, with 1st try costing 90c and subsequent tries costing 60c (because you get 1 item back per try).
- 1/5 chance of hitting +5, so it's 90c + 60c + 60c + 60c + 60c = 330c to get a +5 worth 3 div (750c).
- with average luck, over many attempts, 330c per 5 attempts, or long term about 40c profit per brass dome bought @ 30c.
if you want a formula to plug future values in to test profitability*:
(x - 11y) / 11 = profit in chaos per brass dome bought,
where
x = cost in chaos of +5 brass dome
y = cost in chaos of each brass dome bought
If you wanna go big gamba on this Forbidden Shako and Ventor's are two nutso uniques that can give some fffffffat returns. It's a big risk, so only do these if you're prepared to vendor a TON without a single one coming back as usable, and also be prepared to paruse a ton of results before figuring out which ones are worth selling and which aren't.
Safer (and probably better) to stick to stuff like Melding, Brass domes, Tastes of Hate, Dawnbringers and the like, though. Just make sure 3 min rolls aren't too close to a max or near max roll, though.
