It's really nice to have something that will easily sell for divines in bulk. I sell sextants for divs and stacked decks for chaos, gives me a steady supply of both so I very rarely have to exchange one for the other.
@@subtractem I have many friends that would benefit from this idea. Some of which have been playing for leagues and are STILL too intimidated to even bothered with PoB. Heck, if you have any “pro tips” for more advanced users, compile a list of those as well! Custom modifiers, additional proj calcs, non-damaging ailment percentages, etc.

Thanks for the video Sub. Love your content. I grabbed the data from poedb and summed the weights like you did. Then calculated the % chance for everything accounting for blocking 4000 weight. Then looked up values on poestack for every compass above 10c and multiplied across to get expected value. And that only summed to 7.67c/roll. Minus 1 for the compass leaves 6.67c expected value per roll which is only just more than the value of the raw sextants. So I guess either you're getting lucky or poestack is under valuing the rolled compasses by pricing them in chaos. Edit: Interestingly the enraged strongbox is by far the highest EV contributor at nearly 1/3 of the total value. I guess the combo of having a relatively high weight of 250 and the highest price is a winner Edit2: Rolled 140 sextants and made about +30% profit

Lets say, i dont want to do that for profit, i just want to do it for filling a day with a special Strat, suited to all the Sextants Mods. Sure, 1 Day for Magic Find and the Strongbox ones, then 1 Day for Rogue Exiles, Tormented and Bodyguard Stuff, maybe mixing in some Harbinger Focused ones etc... would love to get some inspiration in circling strats while self rolling Sextants. Why Circling Strats? Because i notice, when i do a single strategy for more than a few days i feel burnout and need something fresh, optimizing the atlas, fiddling a bit with what i could do. That takes a lot of time from my gameplay, and i am sure you can come up with something refreshing. Maybe especially on those that do not appeal in any way like Mysterious Barrels. I still keep those and use it for just casual mapping in random areas, put them as another Mod on blue Maps, with more Magic Packs and Magic Pack Size for example. Or how to use the 8 Mod Map the right way. Its hard to search all that stuff from different places. So have a nice weekend, man!
pro tip almost every compass can be bulk sold on tft for a min of like 6-7c meaning you can just take all of them and sell every non valuable one in bulk resulting in almost no loss whatsoever

is this still profitable without uber super juicing with winged? i thought current prices of deli orbs and it just seemes like instead of farming delirious its just better to sell deli orbs
@@Аргонавт it is profitable. You can also spec into blight on the atlas too. Then horicraft and rolling scarabs, orbs and oils, all 3 of them need a different lifeforce. Rolled a stack of gold and silver oils yesterday. Couple of divines in a few rolls Edit: Your atlas needs deli, harvest and blight nodes.
Great video! I've got a harvest/delve atlas going and which doesn't use sextants but I still roll any I find and it has been an awesome source of income. I'm not very knowledgable about PoE, but its fun to figure it out on your own sometimes. Every 4 maps I get about ~1div of harvest juju and a 40k sulphite to delve with, which I then go delve and get a bunch of sextants and other saleable goods. Sextant rolling can form a very complimentary part of other strategies as well. I'm using blue altars to juice the harvest so no red altars needed!
My experience is rolling sextants is that you will either be lucky and make alot of money or you will lose several divines, which is what happened to me the last time.
With the right blocks you have to get VERY unlucky to not make profit. They key is definitely finding the 2-4 sextant mid tier ones and selling those in bulk as well (like I show with the beyond ones in this video). This ensures that you're always pulling a baseline return so you're never negative and always profit when you hit a good one.
Ive did it a lot in standard and calculated everything in excel sheets. Your profit ranges between 30 and 100%, it is almost impossible to be unprofitable unless your sample size is really small.
Made a Mageblood in 5 days doing this at the end of month 1. Usual return was somewhere from +50% to +100% ROI. Turned all my Div and Chaos into sextants (people will buy Div for Awakened Sextants at market rate) and only sold Compasses worth 10c or more. All in all it was easy money. I had a friend roll for me for some of it which made it really, really fast. If you can stomach using TFT and PoeStack it is even faster. Some people on TFT are insanely deranged and will price stuff at 150% of market rate, ain't no one buying that. From my experience you can keep whatever sextants you want to run and sell the rest and you are still up in profit by a lot. My friend and I ran Enraged+corruptStrongbox+Harbinger+8ModMaps and we made big money. You will get way more enraged strongboxes than you will know what to do with. Remember to do your hand and wrist stretches 😁
Been doing this for a while and it's caused me to never run out of sextants(even running blue altars now, I still don't run out). I don't do the enraged strongboxes strat so that's my biggest seller. Usually sell them in stocks of 5 or more. There's some other good ones like map boss drops conq maps, yellow plants harvest, delirium 100% faster, maps drop with 8 mods, etc... but enraged is the most consistent seller. My main strat is still legion. Usually run map rarity=quant, extra legion, and then anything else that increases monsters on the map. Pretty low investment all things considered. I tried the enraged strongboxes thing, wasn't for me. Never dropped a good card. I've dropped plenty of good cards this league without it. Multiple apothecaries, multiple doctors, one Unrequited Love, etc. Only big value card I think I haven't dropped or pulled from a stacked deck is House of Mirrors. And all of those big card drops came when I was running RUSTED div scarabs besides. Maybe I could've gotten more if I shelled out for guilded div scarabs, but I just couldn't be bothered. High investment mapping in POE feels pretty bad since LOK and I hate the feeling where I'm worrying about recouping my investment.
If people dont want to see prices in awakened sextants with awakened poe trade just press control+alt+d then hover over online and choose chaos. sometimes people lst things in other currencies to get that item to trick people to list it cheaper
I have a build that completes Uber Maven in 55 seconds. Did 200 of them with only a few big drops, one flask, but the sextants made me over 200 divines of profit.
You could also buy polished scarabs and purple juice and make 20++++ div an hour. Only gate was how much purple juice was available and how hard you drove the price up.
For even more profit and to break up the monotony, I recommend Delve to source your own sextants. A good hour of Delve for me with a full bar of Sulphite can yield up to ~100 sextants if I get lucky with finding cities.
so you have 4 voidstones, you roll all 4 of them for good sextant modifiers, BUT to maximize the chance for a GOOD sextant to compass and sell, you BLOCK the other 3 voidstones with BAD modifiers in order to have higher chances for GOOD modifiers.
I rolled 3 divs worth of sextant following this guide and lost about 160 chaos. Didnt roll a single sextant worth more than 75 chaos, 3 beyond sextants only. No strongbox ones worth 200+ chaos, the legion encounter ones arent worth shit anymore either sadly. I seen people rolling these often and they spend like 5 div and make back 8, I dont know how the hell that worked out
Am I just getting stupid unlucky? I spent 300+ sextants and didn't get a single strongbox. I've got a gloom, cold damage, and lightning damage on my voidstones.
Hmm, I set up the blocks correctly as you showed and rolled about 9 divines of sextants and ended up with a loss of about 2 divines. Have prices just fallen that much already?
The big thing with this strat is to sell off the mediocre ones to make sure that you have a good baseline. If you ignore all the 2-3 sextant ones you'll definitely lose out only going for big boys!
Idk have a lot of currency and wanted to try this as an extra way of profit but for now ended up very shitty, invested 100 sextants and earned 60 so I have negative profit. Will try with 300 more and see whats up since I like these gambly ways of making currency.

I wouldn't bother saving blocking sextants. it doesn't cost 20 sextants to set up the block or whatever number you quoted. The real cost is probably less than 1 sextant. what you actually lose when you roll a sextant unblocked is not 1 sextant. it is the difference in expected value of 1 sextant blocked vs 1 sextant unblocked. when you roll a non-blocker result before being set up, you have lost nothing as that is the desired outcome. plus blocking a random low value outcome still increases your odds of high value outcomes.
You're missing 2000 weighting from the blocks, missing out on a decent amount of efficiency for doing it. I strongly recommend getting all your stones before doing this.

Something like sextant rolling has always been a viable & profitable business in PoE from very very long time ago. I see many people in the comments saying that they didn't make any profits or even lost. It is because your investment was too low. You can't hope for some jackpots to get you a vig profit while rolling just a few hundreds of sextants. People who do this seriously, they roll thousands everyday, and stack every sellable mod to sell in bulk. You need to be able to stack even cheap sextant mods in a bulk to sell them so that you keep your chaos refilled then roll more sextants. That way you don't lose but only accumulate your probability of hitting the so called 'jackpot' mods. If you want to do this and only going to spend a few hundred sextants? Please, just list them on the trade and go mapping. If you are going to do this consistently for a long time or spend lots of sextants? And you don't mind sitting in the hideout rolling sextants to make currency, then go for it. Mappers will love you and eventually you will often get contacted by some mappers who wants to consistently buy sextant mods off of you.

Well, did exactly the same blocks as you and lost 80 sextants, did a 40 sextant benefit in the first 5 minutes and then all the way down to 0 (sold basically everything that sold for 1+ sextant, so probably also some chaos losses there too)

@@reyclorox If that's true, then it would mean that is no longer profitable, meaning that players will stop doing it really soon and the prices will go back up. Besides, all you really need is yellow plants OR stongboxes, or 8 mod and one of those 3 gets those fairly often. If you aren't getting those, then you are EXTREMELY unlucky. Also, like Sub mentioned, most people don't bother selling the 5 to 10 chaos ones, so they don't count those, but they really should since selling those in bulk adds up extremely quickly.

Bue yes, prices will go back to normal, I assume in around 2-3 weeks from now, since it's something ppl will continue to buy very often. (Had to calculate te average based on weights, since bc of my terrible luck i couldnt see a single enraged strongbox in more than 50 sextants, which is kinda sad)

If you want a sure bet way to make lots of currency, then just do essences and harvest AND use the lifeforce to upgrade all of the bad essences to top tier selling essences. . That's a surefire way to make several divine an hour. I tried it myself last night. As long as you are fast, you can't lose...........
not sure if i'm incredibly unlucky or what. lost a div worth of sextants plus the time. I thought maybe i didn't follow directions so i rewatched the video, and i did everything right. I even bought the set-up blocks so i wouldn't waste any sextants. Not as guaranteed as i thought it would be, but now i know not to do this and to just sell the sextants for divs, and let someone else try this. I really do hope this doesn't come across wrong, cuz i really appreciated the video and time. Cheers.
This strat has moderate margins and high variance. At the time of this comment the expected value is profitable (i just double checked weights versus value on the market) but that may change and you also have to be willing to invest a good amount to ride low waves. Nothing was nerfed, it's just the nature of the casino.
Yep, it be like that sometime. I figured that subtractem steered me right on the fire trap starter, so this is worth a whirl, and now I know. Worth the experience. :)
The expected value per click is currently 5 chaos. You can absolutely get unlucky for a bit but it will average out to be incredibly profitable. This is a weighted casino, the math is proven. I say in the video to double check the profitability curve and have enough to invest to ride the wave. You can hit a bad luck streak but you will always be profitable with enough investment (at time of this comment).
@@subtractem I just did a 150 sextants try. Got 120 sextants total so :/ Maybe you should put out in the video before starting to not try if you are a little short on money :(
I mean, I talk about weighting and I believe I mention that you should have a high volume of sextants before starting in the video. Check the pinned comment for expected value. You need to sell everything worth 1-2 sextants in bulk as well to ensure that you recoup bad luck streaks.
I've been running gilded expedition gilded harbinger + elevated harbingers sextant and elevated increased runic monsters sextant and it costs like about 4 divines every 16 maps but i make so much more from running logbooks and selling those fracturing orbs, sold 7 full orbs of them so far. So whoever is rolling all the elevated sextants I'll keep buying them :)
I am one of them, will continue to supply mate! I don't get much time to play due to work, so I get home roll sextants for 20-30 mins and move on. Then on the weekend I keep the ones I need to use and make profit on the rest)
Don't sell fox sextants. Price fixers started that to make it easier to manipulate the prices lower. That's why you see uniques and other items in sextants as well, not because they are a good means of trade but because of price fixers. Have whatever you are using to search price only show results in chaos/divines so that you dont get scammed.

Personally when buying I have so far always excluded those in sextants because im not buying sextants for my chaos to trade for the itemized sextant with a merchant. That is too much of a hassle compared to finding the guy pricing in the currency everyone has. When I did roll them earlier in the league I only priced in chaos. Guess you prove you can do either. Edit: Bought 50 enraged at 22-23 sextants ea and sold for 190c ea. Someone is getting ripped off here. If anyone wants easy money there you go. Turns out I will be buying compasses in sextants because they all seem to be majorly discounted.
Why would you waste so many sextants setting up the block? Just buy compasses that already have those rolls in them (shrine + extra monsters) and apply them, then you aren't wasting 29 sextants or whatever you did in the video.
During the demo when he began to try to set up the block, and hit enraged, he should have pulled that immediately in case he were to get lucky again. He self-blocked another lucky enraged by leaving it and going for more block setup
correct, was a slight misplay in the goal of rushing for setting up the block first for recording but since the odds are so low with a partial block (250/21,600 in this case) im not sweating it.
i think people love to hate on simple tricks to make money... everyone overexajurate how boring it is, its not really. i do hextant rolling after a grind session with the sextants I gathered from searing exart and blight and is pretty quick are relax. its something you can do on the side for extra cash.. its not boring is just simple. boring is killing 100 searing exarts with a totem explode...

Spends 7 sextants, 70 chaos a piece, gets one that costs a divine "pretty cool, right?". Yeaaah, sounds like crazy profit considering you have spent 2 divines on rollling it 😂
You didn't show the worst part, selling the sextants even on TFT is hell, 20% of the sextants you can sell quickly, the rest takes a lifetime and you end up having to sell for 80-85% of the value, or it will be 1 week with them in the stash. Sometimes you're also unlucky and almost lose money, in my last attempt I bought 25 divines in awakened sextants and got only 26 div back, only 1 div of profit, 30 minutes rolling and another 5 hours selling lol.
Don't use tft, it's really a trap for most types of sales due to the percentage cuts. I literally haven't sold a single thing on Tft in multiple leagues at this point minus a couple Aislings. Just list them in a sale tab and keep playing the game. They sell very quickly. I did this on stream just a few days ago and the turnaround was so fast I could barely make compasses faster than they sold.

Did this with elevated sextants, made like 40 divines in less than an hour. Did take the whole day to sell but pretty worth it. The rng relies on hitting enraged, else you will lose money.
I tried this method after watching the video and was excited when I hit enraged and purple plants within 15 sextants. Immediately invested another 11 divine in this strategy. I only hit 4 enraged with 11 divine worth of sextants. I don't think i'll try this method again.
I just wanted to say that GGG has now nerfed the SHIT out of this.....I'm not blaming Subtractem, since the nerf had not occurred yet at that time....They did what players refer to as a "silent nerf". And before you call it bad RNG . It's not like I bought 1 or 2 divine. Nope, I bought a little over 7 Divine with this and BARELY made a little over 2 Divine of it Back, so about a loss of 6 Divine. So you can't say that I had a small sample size since I bought so many. .....My thoughts are that GGG probably doesn't like players sitting in their hideouts and would rather have them play the game, so they pulled the old silent nerf crap! The Good sextans just don't come up NEAR as often. Also, for the record, last season I did this and did incredibly well every single time. It's like night and day between last league and this league. All I can say is Fuck GGG! I'm okay when they do nerfs and let players know about it, but it really pisses me off when they don't tell players about it and just let them waste their money. I'm just letting others know so they don't waste their hard earned currency. I'll be posting this on all of the other sextant rolling videos as well. Absolute Trash! You are much better off spending your Divine on Stacked Decks. That's what I'm going to do from here on out....
You should mention somewhere that people should not do this without the "sextants have an additional use/4uses" from the atlas tree. Right by the big eater of worlds circle
Its not the easyest imo, i spent 20divs and got 13div back, very missleading title, it may be profitable if your lucky, but so is everything, this is very far from a general moneyprinter
As with anything that has variance you can get unlucky. The video was posted a few days ago, always double check that prices haven't changed since then.
sextant.. the thing you love and hate at the same time.. really sucks to bulk buy this stuff.. wish they nerfed the drop rate of sextant and increased the uses... to like 20 or something.. its a pain to constantly have to buy these... overall i would not mind if gg said : hey next league wont have a mechanic.. we are reworking stuff in the game to make it more appealing to players... such is nerfing the amount of loot.. and increasing effect.. some already talked about the orb of chance/ scouring being retardet boring... i played poe for 12 years... i picked up orb of chance... every league because i use neversink... and i NEVER EVER used them.. would be nice if the drop chance was lower... and chance for upgrading to uniq higher.. also when you clean your quad stash.. would be nice with a sell entire stash.. since cleaning it takes alot of time... but i guess this is a buisness model choice.. people tend to just buy another stash instead of spending time cleaning what they aready have... i know my friend does this.. and i did this aswell.... so.. might be on purpose... also when you do sell items from stash.. would be nice to have a Disable vendor recipe option.. since i often trade 5 rings /amulets /belt.. and get 1 crap item back in return instead of the more valuable option.. alterations.. same goes for mirrored items.. sometimes you sell 2 x 6 sockets/link chest.. and instead of 40 fusing you get and orb of bullshit.. chance i mean... :D ... there is a million small tweaks they could make to make the player experience better.. at the cost of one league..
this is pretty hard bait tbh, its not uncommon to just lose everything you put into it if you have a streak of badluck. don't buy sextants do this people. farm them yourself.
Nope. Expected value is lower profit than it was a couple weeks ago but early league it was INSANE profit and it's still pretty decent. The point of the video is sharing how you do the strat less than saying "do this now for money"
I've been doing/talking about this strategy on and off for over a year (I even referenced PoM's video from last year in this video for my data comparison). There's no "shitting out a video demolishing a method," if anything the purpose of this video is to have a reference for the future. It's all about building up a library of strats and adapting based on moving market forces. If you only think short term and do what the latest video says you'll never realize the most profit, but if you remember things from the past and adapt you'll always be one step ahead.
I literally said I sold mine a couple days ago at the beginning of the video. I have 30 sextants to my name right now and am sitting on more currency than I'll ever use for the rest of the league. I work VERY hard to not profit off of my videos and be as "ethical" as I can be while sharing information. F off with that trash.
The sextant market is waaaayyyy too liquid and robust to be disrupted by a single vid. People are not going to stop juicing and for that they need compasses, and tons and tons of those. When I need to refuel I keep aggressively refreshing poestack and it is very common to be late to whisper someone that posted a popular sextant stack less than 20 seconds ago.

Get full Gem leveling gear and sit in 5way while rolling sextant.
Yup did this early league. And make sure to use a controller so the gems auto level, so you dont have to stop rolling the sextants

pro tip almost every compass can be bulk sold on tft for a min of like 6-7c meaning you can just take all of them and sell every non valuable one in bulk resulting in almost no loss whatsoever

@@Аргонавт it is profitable. You can also spec into blight on the atlas too. Then horicraft and rolling scarabs, orbs and oils, all 3 of them need a different lifeforce. Rolled a stack of gold and silver oils yesterday. Couple of divines in a few rolls

Great video! I've got a harvest/delve atlas going and which doesn't use sextants but I still roll any I find and it has been an awesome source of income. I'm not very knowledgable about PoE, but its fun to figure it out on your own sometimes. Every 4 maps I get about ~1div of harvest juju and a 40k sulphite to delve with, which I then go delve and get a bunch of sextants and other saleable goods. Sextant rolling can form a very complimentary part of other strategies as well. I'm using blue altars to juice the harvest so no red altars needed!
My experience is rolling sextants is that you will either be lucky and make alot of money or you will lose several divines, which is what happened to me the last time.
With the right blocks you have to get VERY unlucky to not make profit. They key is definitely finding the 2-4 sextant mid tier ones and selling those in bulk as well (like I show with the beyond ones in this video).
This ensures that you're always pulling a baseline return so you're never negative and always profit when you hit a good one.
Unless you are not blocking and rolling over every enraged you basically can't lose money...

Ive did it a lot in standard and calculated everything in excel sheets. Your profit ranges between 30 and 100%, it is almost impossible to be unprofitable unless your sample size is really small.

Made a Mageblood in 5 days doing this at the end of month 1. Usual return was somewhere from +50% to +100% ROI. Turned all my Div and Chaos into sextants (people will buy Div for Awakened Sextants at market rate) and only sold Compasses worth 10c or more. All in all it was easy money. I had a friend roll for me for some of it which made it really, really fast.
If you can stomach using TFT and PoeStack it is even faster. Some people on TFT are insanely deranged and will price stuff at 150% of market rate, ain't no one buying that.
From my experience you can keep whatever sextants you want to run and sell the rest and you are still up in profit by a lot. My friend and I ran Enraged+corruptStrongbox+Harbinger+8ModMaps and we made big money. You will get way more enraged strongboxes than you will know what to do with.

Been doing this for a while and it's caused me to never run out of sextants(even running blue altars now, I still don't run out). I don't do the enraged strongboxes strat so that's my biggest seller. Usually sell them in stocks of 5 or more. There's some other good ones like map boss drops conq maps, yellow plants harvest, delirium 100% faster, maps drop with 8 mods, etc... but enraged is the most consistent seller.
My main strat is still legion. Usually run map rarity=quant, extra legion, and then anything else that increases monsters on the map. Pretty low investment all things considered. I tried the enraged strongboxes thing, wasn't for me. Never dropped a good card. I've dropped plenty of good cards this league without it. Multiple apothecaries, multiple doctors, one Unrequited Love, etc. Only big value card I think I haven't dropped or pulled from a stacked deck is House of Mirrors. And all of those big card drops came when I was running RUSTED div scarabs besides. Maybe I could've gotten more if I shelled out for guilded div scarabs, but I just couldn't be bothered.
High investment mapping in POE feels pretty bad since LOK and I hate the feeling where I'm worrying about recouping my investment.
If people dont want to see prices in awakened sextants with awakened poe trade just press control+alt+d then hover over online and choose chaos. sometimes people lst things in other currencies to get that item to trick people to list it cheaper
I have a build that completes Uber Maven in 55 seconds. Did 200 of them with only a few big drops, one flask, but the sextants made me over 200 divines of profit.
You could also buy polished scarabs and purple juice and make 20++++ div an hour. Only gate was how much purple juice was available and how hard you drove the price up.

For even more profit and to break up the monotony, I recommend Delve to source your own sextants.
A good hour of Delve for me with a full bar of Sulphite can yield up to ~100 sextants if I get lucky with finding cities.

so you have 4 voidstones, you roll all 4 of them for good sextant modifiers, BUT to maximize the chance for a GOOD sextant to compass and sell, you BLOCK the other 3 voidstones with BAD modifiers in order to have higher chances for GOOD modifiers.
i cant check the price when enchent is on voidstone. do i need to change something in the setings?

I rolled 3 divs worth of sextant following this guide and lost about 160 chaos. Didnt roll a single sextant worth more than 75 chaos, 3 beyond sextants only. No strongbox ones worth 200+ chaos, the legion encounter ones arent worth shit anymore either sadly. I seen people rolling these often and they spend like 5 div and make back 8, I dont know how the hell that worked out

The big thing with this strat is to sell off the mediocre ones to make sure that you have a good baseline. If you ignore all the 2-3 sextant ones you'll definitely lose out only going for big boys!

Idk have a lot of currency and wanted to try this as an extra way of profit but for now ended up very shitty, invested 100 sextants and earned 60 so I have negative profit. Will try with 300 more and see whats up since I like these gambly ways of making currency.

I wouldn't bother saving blocking sextants. it doesn't cost 20 sextants to set up the block or whatever number you quoted.
The real cost is probably less than 1 sextant.
what you actually lose when you roll a sextant unblocked is not 1 sextant. it is the difference in expected value of 1 sextant blocked vs 1 sextant unblocked.
when you roll a non-blocker result before being set up, you have lost nothing as that is the desired outcome.
plus blocking a random low value outcome still increases your odds of high value outcomes.

You're missing 2000 weighting from the blocks, missing out on a decent amount of efficiency for doing it. I strongly recommend getting all your stones before doing this.
You can "buy" the other 2 from ppl selling boss service for like less then 1 div each and i strongly recommend doing that.

Something like sextant rolling has always been a viable & profitable business in PoE from very very long time ago. I see many people in the comments saying that they didn't make any profits or even lost. It is because your investment was too low. You can't hope for some jackpots to get you a vig profit while rolling just a few hundreds of sextants.
People who do this seriously, they roll thousands everyday, and stack every sellable mod to sell in bulk. You need to be able to stack even cheap sextant mods in a bulk to sell them so that you keep your chaos refilled then roll more sextants. That way you don't lose but only accumulate your probability of hitting the so called 'jackpot' mods.
If you want to do this and only going to spend a few hundred sextants? Please, just list them on the trade and go mapping. If you are going to do this consistently for a long time or spend lots of sextants? And you don't mind sitting in the hideout rolling sextants to make currency, then go for it. Mappers will love you and eventually you will often get contacted by some mappers who wants to consistently buy sextant mods off of you.

Well, did exactly the same blocks as you and lost 80 sextants, did a 40 sextant benefit in the first 5 minutes and then all the way down to 0 (sold basically everything that sold for 1+ sextant, so probably also some chaos losses there too)

Besides, all you really need is yellow plants OR stongboxes, or 8 mod and one of those 3 gets those fairly often. If you aren't getting those, then you are EXTREMELY unlucky. Also, like Sub mentioned, most people don't bother selling the 5 to 10 chaos ones, so they don't count those, but they really should since selling those in bulk adds up extremely quickly.

Bue yes, prices will go back to normal, I assume in around 2-3 weeks from now, since it's something ppl will continue to buy very often. (Had to calculate te average based on weights, since bc of my terrible luck i couldnt see a single enraged strongbox in more than 50 sextants, which is kinda sad)

I even bought the set-up blocks so i wouldn't waste any sextants. Not as guaranteed as i thought it would be, but now i know not to do this and to just sell the sextants for divs, and let someone else try this. The expected value per click is currently 5 chaos. You can absolutely get unlucky for a bit but it will average out to be incredibly profitable. This is a weighted casino, the math is proven. I say in the video to double check the profitability curve and have enough to invest to ride the wave.
You can hit a bad luck streak but you will always be profitable with enough investment (at time of this comment).

I mean, I talk about weighting and I believe I mention that you should have a high volume of sextants before starting in the video. Check the pinned comment for expected value. You need to sell everything worth 1-2 sextants in bulk as well to ensure that you recoup bad luck streaks.
I've been running gilded expedition gilded harbinger + elevated harbingers sextant and elevated increased runic monsters sextant and it costs like about 4 divines every 16 maps but i make so much more from running logbooks and selling those fracturing orbs, sold 7 full orbs of them so far. So whoever is rolling all the elevated sextants I'll keep buying them :)
I am one of them, will continue to supply mate! I don't get much time to play due to work, so I get home roll sextants for 20-30 mins and move on. Then on the weekend I keep the ones I need to use and make profit on the rest)

Don't sell fox sextants. Price fixers started that to make it easier to manipulate the prices lower. That's why you see uniques and other items in sextants as well, not because they are a good means of trade but because of price fixers. Have whatever you are using to search price only show results in chaos/divines so that you dont get scammed.
For most things this is true! But for compasses that is all they actually sell for, which is makes sense as they all exchange for their cost.

Personally when buying I have so far always excluded those in sextants because im not buying sextants for my chaos to trade for the itemized sextant with a merchant. That is too much of a hassle compared to finding the guy pricing in the currency everyone has. When I did roll them earlier in the league I only priced in chaos. Guess you prove you can do either.

Why would you waste so many sextants setting up the block? Just buy compasses that already have those rolls in them (shrine + extra monsters) and apply them, then you aren't wasting 29 sextants or whatever you did in the video.
Because each one you use is still profitable even without a block. Buying the blocks is actually inefficient.

correct, was a slight misplay in the goal of rushing for setting up the block first for recording but since the odds are so low with a partial block (250/21,600 in this case) im not sweating it.
i think people love to hate on simple tricks to make money... everyone overexajurate how boring it is, its not really. i do hextant rolling after a grind session with the sextants I gathered from searing exart and blight and is pretty quick are relax.
its something you can do on the side for extra cash.. its not boring is just simple. boring is killing 100 searing exarts with a totem explode...

correct! i sold 400 sextants for 15 divines (~7.3 chaos per) just a couple days ago. in big enough bulk it sells incredibly well.

You didn't show the worst part, selling the sextants even on TFT is hell, 20% of the sextants you can sell quickly, the rest takes a lifetime and you end up having to sell for 80-85% of the value, or it will be 1 week with them in the stash.
Sometimes you're also unlucky and almost lose money, in my last attempt I bought 25 divines in awakened sextants and got only 26 div back, only 1 div of profit, 30 minutes rolling and another 5 hours selling lol.
Don't use tft, it's really a trap for most types of sales due to the percentage cuts. I literally haven't sold a single thing on Tft in multiple leagues at this point minus a couple Aislings.
Just list them in a sale tab and keep playing the game. They sell very quickly. I did this on stream just a few days ago and the turnaround was so fast I could barely make compasses faster than they sold.

The rng relies on hitting enraged, else you will lose money.
I tried this method after watching the video and was excited when I hit enraged and purple plants within 15 sextants.
Immediately invested another 11 divine in this strategy. I only hit 4 enraged with 11 divine worth of sextants.
I don't think i'll try this method again.

I just wanted to say that GGG has now nerfed the SHIT out of this.....I'm not blaming Subtractem, since the nerf had not occurred yet at that time....They did what players refer to as a "silent nerf". And before you call it bad RNG . It's not like I bought 1 or 2 divine. Nope, I bought a little over 7 Divine with this and BARELY made a little over 2 Divine of it Back, so about a loss of 6 Divine. So you can't say that I had a small sample size since I bought so many. .....My thoughts are that GGG probably doesn't like players sitting in their hideouts and would rather have them play the game, so they pulled the old silent nerf crap! The Good sextans just don't come up NEAR as often.
Also, for the record, last season I did this and did incredibly well every single time. It's like night and day between last league and this league. All I can say is Fuck GGG! I'm okay when they do nerfs and let players know about it, but it really pisses me off when they don't tell players about it and just let them waste their money. I'm just letting others know so they don't waste their hard earned currency. I'll be posting this on all of the other sextant rolling videos as well. Absolute Trash! You are much better off spending your Divine on Stacked Decks. That's what I'm going to do from here on out....

I've been doing/talking about this strategy on and off for over a year (I even referenced PoM's video from last year in this video for my data comparison).
There's no "shitting out a video demolishing a method," if anything the purpose of this video is to have a reference for the future. It's all about building up a library of strats and adapting based on moving market forces.
If you only think short term and do what the latest video says you'll never realize the most profit, but if you remember things from the past and adapt you'll always be one step ahead.

The sextant market is waaaayyyy too liquid and robust to be disrupted by a single vid. People are not going to stop juicing and for that they need compasses, and tons and tons of those. When I need to refuel I keep aggressively refreshing poestack and it is very common to be late to whisper someone that posted a popular sextant stack less than 20 seconds ago.
