Yes I saw another clip where he said the same thing but on the Johhny and June Duets album the songwriter is listed as M Grant. Maybe it was thought that Perkins wrote it and later found out that it was Grant? I guess we will never know. Great clip by the way!!

I have two CDs with this song on them. One says Marshall Grant, and the other one says Carl Perkins as the writer.
I listened to some versions of the song in several concerts and Johnny always says that Carl Perkins wrote this song.
