I’ve never heard this June Carter Cash song. It’s terrific and June’s voice is absolutely lovely. She was happy! Her duet with Johnny is darling.
What a great clip of Johnny & June! I wish they would repeat the Johnny Cash Show on TV now...it would surely attract a lot of viewers even in 2012!

She said no cause he wouldn't get off drugs and they were both married. He finally got ckean with her and his Mother's help. They both divorced. His 1st wife divorced him mostly cause he would not get off of drugs. 1966 she divorced him
This is an aspect of June Carter Cash that haters and fans alike often forget - she was a heck of a guitar player, never mind the autoharp and the comedy aspects of her performance. To see her playing guitar alongside her husband I think is extremely rare. Other than the Pete Seeger Rainbow Quest episode where Johnny wasn't at his best, I don't know of many other clips of this nature.
in his autobiography, he says that because of him and his popularity she did not have enough the credit she deserved, to be much more prepared musically than him.
So I think, it is a great Duo.So June played with Johnny perhaps never bevore. A very good performance. Indeed. I love both of them

June often got seen as comic relief - whether with the Carter Family early in her career, or recording with comedy duo Homer and Jethro (she did several singles with them) and even on Johnny's shows in the 70s she did comedy skits. But many of her songs were surprisingly dark. This and a song she wrote for Johnny, Nobody Cared, are incredibly dark. Ring of Fire isn't all sunshine and roses either.

This must have been just before they married because I noticed he introduced her as June Carter not Carter Cash. They both were great entertainers and looked lovely together. Thank you for posting.
They wed in March of 1968. This is from 1969.
