Crucial Win against a tricky team . Pure Phil Foden Wins It
Great vid Ian another shout out to our loyal fans showing such brilliant support on a Monday night in London. On to the game should have been out of sight 1st half, terrible defending for their goal and some sloppy play, much better 2 nd half and more clinical, Phil magnificent. Hugely important win, would have been a disaster to have lost tonight following yesterday’s results. We’re on great form now, the rest will be very worried. Come on City.
Brilliant vlog as ever Ian. Good win against tricky team who we lost twice against last season, Foden absolute class with his hatrick. I'm dreading liverpool away I know it's a bit of a way of but if that game could be the game that is billed as the decider, we struggle at Anfield, I dread that fixture, hopefully we'll be ok though I'm still City of old always expecting the worse I just can't ever shake of that typical City from myself. Think that's a good thing though as I don't want to get big headed like them lot in Stretford.

We won a must win game and, that's all we can ask for, because I wasn't feeling confident, especially when Maupey scored.
The defence really do need to sort things out, because Phil won't and, can't be expected to score 1, 2 or 3 goals.
I sincerely hope that I'm wrong, but then again, I hope that we don't need to rely on him.

72% possession, 25 shots, 15 on target and 3 goals…but that flippin’ defence of ours! At 2-1 up, we went so sloppy again and almost undid all the hard work getting in front. I know it might sound like I expect absolute perfection but if we could just get that out of our game and shut teams out; then the way we keep ball and then attack we wouldn’t GIVE these sides half the chances they seem to get against the run of play. Still…it seems to have the effect of sharpening up our attacking players and keeping us fans on our toes and sometimes biting our nails.
It goes without saying the performance of Phil was excellent but their keeper was a flippin’ close second for MotM.

Another 3 crucial points....Foden really has risen to new levels over the past 3 months. KDB's return and Erling starting really should instil positivity into us blues and fear into opponents.
Looking forward to Everton game on Saturday and need an early train due to 1230 kick off....but we could go top albeit if only for an hour or so....

As a City fan from New Zealand currently living in Europe, I was lucky enough to get a ticket for this game in the home end with a friend who works for Brentford. He said the city fans are about the loudest aways he has heard - massive credit to all who made the trip down on a Monday. Fantastic atmosphere, and all in very healthy, good nature.
Ian, your vlogs massively enhance the experience of following city from a distance, and I am so grateful we have a proper football club with so many genuine, good people following it like the ones you show week in, week out, all over England and Europe. No matter where in the world, proud to be a blue 🩵

We are not winning the league with Sunday league defending, our goals conceded to shots on target must be the worse in the league. Do it against Arsenal or Liverpool,we don't win those games.Gvardiol is no defender.

This is why I had to let my season card go can't keep up with the constant changing of fixtures after they release the schedules trying to plan home games is bad enough massive to respect to all the lads who go every away game
Istanbul will tell you all you need to know about uefa and how football is run to suit the big boys...public transport for that was like something out of the 3rd world...at half time the suits were in scoffing their meals and free booze and the best seats on the halfway line weren't filled for at least ten minutes into the 2nd half as they weren't fans of either inter or city

I think the truth is football will eventually not be a working class sport, those that struggle to afford it will become TV fans and the stadiums will be made up of 60% wealthy UK fans & tourists, 30% corporate and 20% working class. There is a reason they built the arena, hotel and leisure facilities and it's for tourists when the super league inevitably arrives. All the billionaires blue and red want it and they do not care for the amount of years anyone has supported the club it will be seen as day out an experience people do a few times a year. In most sports around the world it already exists that way. Many "legacy" fans will only find what they're after in the lower leagues and may have to look there for affordability and enjoyment.....sad but true. Great win, sloppy defending but we were relaxed tonight. Great vlog Cheesy 👍💙

Good win , great vlog . It annoys me about the fixture changes , I live in Spain and order a ticket in advance of a game, book flights & accommodation. Then they change the date and if I leave booking my flights to the last minute , the price shoots up 😡

Our defence worries me this season, how many times do we get caught out with the long ball and diagonal? Too many. It's something the defence coach needs to sort out and quick, City need to stop ball watching and mark the opponents tighter, against the better sides in the Prem and Europe we may suffer. Rant over, well done to Phil and Kev tonight, they were outstanding. Come on City 💙👊

Just a thought Ian, could your RRG car fly like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang..................................I'll get my coat.
As for the fans not being prioritized, it's a disgrace. All fans know this, and for me something should be done collectively by all of the clubs and organising bodies to rebalance the way TV get to dominate when match's are moved. Just my opinion but I think games could be organised a damn site better than they are, and a clear notice period, agreed by all fans, could be implemented before games are shifted. Having games moved with no consideration to how fans travel, leaving them to get home in the early hours of the morning is just wrong, out of order in my opinion.
Money may talk, sometimes it has to be silenced.
As for the game, another great watch for me. Thomas Franks side did well in the first half holding us a bay and getting a goal. But in truth their goalie became Gordon Banks in that first period, it could have been 3-1 to City at half time.
Second half we again lifted are game a degree and dominated. Great to watch, and Phil looked magnificent again. Even though Erling didn't get on the score sheet I totally agree with that very clever young man and say "No way" are we signing Mr Mbappé for one of our Vikings.
The gesture of the team going over to our fans with the 3 point at least shows they care. 'It's great to be a Blue' as you say Ian, and what a club we have become on the football and supporter fronts. Let's stick together everyone.
