@Jimmy conway no team in the Scottish Premier league was part time. It was in the Top 10 leagues in Europe back then. Please just stop as you are obviously just a very bitter, ignorant man as you're replying to everyone trying to put a legend's achievements down. Henrik's achievements speak for themselves. As he said, he could now be sitting with a few more 0s on his back account and a bit more media attention, but he wouldn't swap it for what he means to Celtic and what Celtic means to him.

I love Henrik Larsson he is the best striker I ever seen live, absolutely untouchable! As a Celtic and Manchester United fan I was very blessed to see this man score so many world class goals including the goal he scored against us for Barcelona when he came on and chipped the keeper right infront of me 🤯 i shook my head in disbelief applauding the man whilst many die hard celtic fans around me were losing their minds. It was emotional! Henrik Larsson is a king 👑 But Yahshua HaMashiach/ Jesus Christ thhe Messiah is the true King of Kings 👑 GodBlessYou All 🙏
What a brilliant podcast, very down to earth player i wish he never left. Never ran anyone down every team assisted him in being the player he became what a GUY.
One of the greatest professionals ever. Honorable, modest but knows how good he was and what he could do. Any team would be blessed to have him in the club. Both on and off pitch.
That certainly was a ‘Bloody Good Team’!!!. Had my season ticket for a few years before Martin O’Neills tenure and this team was relentless and full of superb players . Pumped Blackburn and went to anfield to see John Hartson score an absolute belter. Happy days
Supreme confidence, humility, and integrity. What a player! As a side note, I love how he handles the hyperbole of these questions. I’d love to see him in conversation with Rio with real questions and insights from a former teammate.
World class player and very humble man dying breed in modern day football players . Rangers fan here but i can say was a pleasure watching this guy play football ripped us to bits a few times .
That's when you know a player is great when the opposition side feel no way in praising him. He played for United in England but as a City fan I think he is legendary
What a man...a true Celtic legend. It was an honour to be in the stands week in week out watching the greatest player i saw in the hoops. His love for the club is there for all to see.
I'm English I lived in Scotland in 2000 to 2003 and I can honestly say I am so privileged to have watched Henrik Larsson play at Celtic he was an absolute legend and so loyal to Celtic he could have played anywhere Madrid united Chelsea juve Milan anyone would have took him he was brilliant
I had him on PES 06, just bought him cheap because I was always a fan and I needed a bargain third striker. He was an absolute beast who carried the whole team.
Being Man Utd, it was great to have him even for a short period. He did create an impact in 3 months. Respect his decision not to stay. Man of humility and integrity.
Imagine having him from age 25 - 32. 7 spoiled years we had at Celtic. The Bhoy who became King really did age like a fine wine. I cried when he broke his leg in Lyon. But after that he just got better every year. What a player and man. So humble And the goals he has scored. Left fot, Right foot and that glourious head. Chris Sutton saud Larsson waseasily the best striker he ever played with and im sure he played with some good strikers.
Absolute legend. Great human being. Imitated you as a little guy playing amongst grownups after the 94 world cup... Your partnership with Anderson in the swedish team. Then finally being able to watch you close out your career at my Team Man Utd as a grown up... Thanks Henrik.... Nothing but love
Henrik you are legendary amongst the Celtic family where ever you are in the world we'll be there behind you , Thanks for the memories an loyalty you shown forever the Magnificent 7 💚💚....
Larsson was a great player, and comes across as a good person. Even though he played in a league that is considered weaker than the big five European leagues he did it consistently season after season. Then, when he got the call from Barcelona and Manchester United he did it at those clubs. Big up every time.
I remember Henrik playing for us and I remember loving him obviously but the older I get the more I love him and the more I'm amazed that we had a player of that class playing for Celtic for as long as we did. These days you'll probably never see a player of that class playing outside of England, Spain or Germany. Thanks for everything Henrik we'll love you forever, truly the king of kings.
Henrik was and still is a legend here in Scotland. His time with Celtic was unforgettable, with a legacy up there with some of Celtic's best players. He was sorely missed ,as many of his appearances with Celtic were remarkable. He is legendary in Glasgow and Scotland, a player never to be forgotten.
“quite a few goals” 51 in 61. That man is one of the most humble footballers in the world. He was world class but just talked as if he was nothing special
Growing up, seeing Henke's brilliance was awe inspiring for me. Helsingborg played my home team and me and my father went to the game, and after that game which we lost I was blown away by what I had seen from Larsson. I wasn't even upset that we had lost which I normally would have been, because he was at this point in time far and beyond any talent that I had seen first hand. This meant that there were levels of skill beyond what I had imagined possible in our league. This one experience insipred me in my own game and he continued to impress wherever he went over the years. What has made him a legend for me was how he carried himself on and off pitch and how down to earth he is. A football great and a class act. Thanks for all the memories Henke!
Did a major job for us. Never realised how good he was until he came united. Amazing first touch and his movement off the ball was the main thing that I experienced to make me realise how good he was. Class act 👍🏻
Henrik was an astonishing talent. Left foot right foot and heading ability combined made him a formidable footballing talent known all around the world. My greatest footballer growing up, he was soo special...
Nah. It'll be another 25 years NOT before a player from SPL is worth anywhere close to that but before we could even suggest they might in the future be LOL.
@@gillianbenjamin2544 Larsson in his prime at current prices would be snapped up for 100 million and if he was at Celtic now that's the price he would be going for or close to it. He was a proven goalscorer not just in Scotland but in Europe
Love that he went to England & Spain & had a good impact. Always got stick for playing at Celtic, but he was incredible. Quality obviously, but desire through the roof
Legend is flung around to often. But the word fits Henrik down to a tee! Just tremendous in every way. One of the most consistent players who has ever lived!
Will never forget watching Henrik's debut v Hibs. He helped to make Chic Charnley look like a world class player. Course players make mistakes don't they but it was blown up as was a live game on SKY that day. Aug 1997. I have nothing but admiration for Henrik Larrson. A consummate professional and he's surely a Hoops legend.
I'm a Celtic supporter and I love Henrik. I've seen several world-class footballers in Celtic colours; Bobby Murdoch, Jimmy Johnstone, Bobby Lennox, Tommy Gemmell, Danny McGrain, Kenny Dalglish and a few others. Henrik is one of the best I've seen in Celtic colours, although I won't go so far as to say that he was the GOAT. But he's definitely in the frame. He's one of several magical Celtic legends. One interesting thing about Henrik's career which is never mentioned - he played for Feyenoord, Celtic, Manchester United and Barcelona. All of those teams were European Champions. Henrik belonged in that environment.
barry ohara a was just meaning in general. Aye he’s scored everywhere he’s went no denying that. At the point we beat Liverpool and Blackburn there’s no many teams doon there that would have liked to play us and that’s a certainty
Best performance I ever seen a player have was this guy and I have watched some special players. This guy for Celtic against my team was a level above. We out played Celtic and lost owing mostly to a really really good game by a very special player. Henrik I would rather have had the three points but thanks for that display I hope to always remember it.
King of Kings... You'll never be forgotten Henke. Your loyalty, like Paul McStay will forever have a place in Celtic supporters hearts. The pleasure was all ours. 💚🍻👊
King of kings. Still such an underrated player. His performance in the UEFA Cup was incredible. His loyalty also goes unrewarded. One of the greatest. Still should have won that final in 2003... Gutted.
242 goals in 315 matches in 7 years, 1 of those years he didn't play because of a horrific broken leg, came back the following season and scored 53 goals and won the European golden boot
This guy was my football childhood untill he left celtic when I was 16 best player I have ever seen and definitely without a doubt one of the greatest strikers to ever play the game the things this guy could do were unbelievable
Such a quality player , it was a joy to watch him doing his thing on the pitch . he deserves the love the celtic fans have for him without a shadow of a doubt
I remember how excited I was when Sky Sports broke the news he was coming to United on loan I wish he stayed longer but he contributed a lot and doesn’t get enough credit for the part he played in United winning the 2006/07 title
This guy came to us on loan for such a short period of time, but left with more respect and admiration than most multi million pound signings. THAT right there tells you everything you need to know about the man. a true class act.

KayAre Yeah I don’t get how he isn’t mentioned more, he was the captain through a lot of the era of dominance and an unreal player.
Lee Cutty yeah sadly defenders get over looked.. even though he was a key part of the barcalona and spain dominance era.. pique looks so average without him.. and they still have failed to replace him after all these years..
Underrated by whom?
@@duznygeyafock my thoughts exactly!! I thought Puyol is one of the more famous players to ever play for Barcelona :D Of course its the strikers and attacking midfielders that gather more attention, they score more goals but I am sure everyone knows mr. Puyol

This guy is timeless, a truly world class striker, humble and inspirational.

Fantastic player.. Seeing him for united in those few games i quickly realised he was far more than a goalscorer.. His football intelligence was off the charts!!
Absolutely. In addition to his (sometimes phenomenal) goals, he was (like Kenny Dalglish) an old-fashioned inside-forward par excellence. His dummy to take out Colin Hendry for the first goal in the 5-1 Old Firm win of 1998 was brilliant.
Best I've ever witnessed in Scotland bar none from a rangers fan !!! Guy was absolutely class ran the show on many occasions against the best teams out there 👍✌

He could have gotten in any team in the world in his prime

One of the greatest professionals ever. Honorable, modest but knows how good he was and what he could do. Any team would be blessed to have him in the club. Both on and off pitch.

Pumped Blackburn and went to anfield to see John Hartson score an absolute belter.

Supreme confidence, humility, and integrity. What a player! As a side note, I love how he handles the hyperbole of these questions. I’d love to see him in conversation with Rio with real questions and insights from a former teammate.

So humble
And the goals he has scored. Left fot, Right foot and that glourious head.
Chris Sutton saud Larsson waseasily the best striker he ever played with and im sure he played with some good strikers.

Larsson was a great player, and comes across as a good person. Even though he played in a league that is considered weaker than the big five European leagues he did it consistently season after season. Then, when he got the call from Barcelona and Manchester United he did it at those clubs. Big up every time.
Best player I seen in the flesh, unbelievable awareness, movement, finishing, heading he had it all. Most complete player of his generation
ALL of us United fans loved having you. I was in awe and was there when you scored that first goal! Legend.

Sadly I think you are right about top players like Larrson avoiding leagues outside the biggest 4 in Europe.

The greatest player to ever step foot in scotland. What would he be worth now if he was in his prime? Celtic would have him valued over 100 million
Nah. It'll be another 25 years NOT before a player from SPL is worth anywhere close to that but before we could even suggest they might in the future be LOL.
But I remember him from his time at Old Trafford and he was truly majestic; a fantastic signing.
@@gillianbenjamin2544 Larsson in his prime at current prices would be snapped up for 100 million and if he was at Celtic now that's the price he would be going for or close to it. He was a proven goalscorer not just in Scotland but in Europe

He's one of several magical Celtic legends.
One interesting thing about Henrik's career which is never mentioned - he played for Feyenoord, Celtic, Manchester United and Barcelona. All of those teams were European Champions. Henrik belonged in that environment.
